BobMUFC08
Does anyone know how to change how many league fixtures your reserve team plays? I want them to be match fit for when i need them and i dont want to use FMRTE to heal them every time and i dont want to have to arrange a load of friendlys for them either. Wakka
Don't put the players you commonly use on your first team available for reserve teams. Thats the best u can do imo
zapatero
On the subject of reserve team fixtures, in England, FM2008 had a sort of reserve competition. This seems to have disappeared with FM2009, to keep the reserves playing I've to constantly setup a bunch of friendlies. Is this normal? Are others experiencing the same situation Did it also disappear IRL?

zapatero
If that's because of licensing, that's a bit weird. Anyone could add something more about this matter? Maybe someone from SI? It is really puzzling me. Some days ago I tried to search something on this matter and didn't find any meaningful information. It must be my search skills that suck, I guess? The Gaffovski
I set up reserve friendlies from July to December, also under 18's friendlies, for weeks when they have no matches. Then at the beginning of January I set up the friendlies from there on to May. It splits up the tedious process lol. Back when FM 2008 came out(possibly even from before), people asked for a button to tell your Assistant Manager to arrange friendlies automatically and to be able to choose frequency (1 every 2 weeks, 1 every week, 2 every week). It's little things like this, that would remove the "work" from playing FM so we can concentrate on the fun. And that is exactly where FM is going downhill. Every version = more "work". zapatero
@BobMUFC08: it's not too tiresome but I do wish we could do it automatically. I've found out that the best days to setup reserve matches are Mondays. On those days all teams will accept to play the game, even if you don't pay anything. On weekends they would sometimes reject. So, what I do is to do it 2 times per season, as The Gaffovski mentioned. Takes just a couple of minutes, really. I do agree, however, that there are too many tiresome tasks one must do, to keep things going, and that some of those are not at all fun. Like these new, oh so repetitive and annoying, press conferences (worst aspect of FM2009, by far, argh!). Anyway, from what you guys say, it does look like the reserves competition has indeed disappeared. A pity, really.
