kolvuk
is it possible for them to turn professional? or even semi-pro?
small Mac
I have a feeling its hard coded that they can't turn pro or semi-pro.
jptykes
It shouldn't be possible and I believe that people playing well into the future with them in past games have reported that it doesn't happen.
kolvuk
thats my hopes of taking them back to the pinnacle of scottish football scuppered then. I'll just have to see what i can do with amateur players
benjawi.
It's one of them hard coded parts as Queens Park's board have said that the club will never be given professional status as they want to retain their heritage or some crap like that. kolvuk
so its hard coded to the club or that particular board? Because i'm sure if some foreign tycoon took over they wouldn't care much for not being able to throw their money around lol
small Mac
Unfortunately in all likelyhood its hardcoded to the team, not the board.
Nobby_McDonald
Queen's Park will never lose their amateur status.

Because i'm sure if some foreign tycoon took over they wouldn't care much for not being able to throw their money around lol You'd hope that the tycoon looked into the situation before trying to buy the club and realised they won't be able to throw money around. kolvuk
my time with queen's park came to a swift end. I guided them into the spl in my only season with the club (its the future so they had got into the first division) and i decided i could do no more and took the dortmund job i was offered still think that if queen's park got into the spl and were getting better crowds they might consider becoming pro, having said that i don't know the depth of feeling behind the amateur status just that it is obviously a club proud of its past
