chopra_hill
Without any hint of controversy, and without changing any of the votes the winner was Cardiff manager Paul Carey. He had this to say while collecting the award "I would like to thanks my backroom staff, without them it wouldn't have been possible. He also made hints to the media such as "Why didn't I get manager of the year" lol oj!

Rhan
Predictions Premiership Bolton - Andy 9th Again looking for a comfortable mid table finish, I don't think Bolton have the squad to challenge for Europe yet. Wolves - Nick 4th I think Europe could take its toll on Wolves but Nicks squad is very strong and they are now among the big boys so Champions League qualification is not out of the question. Championship Cardiff City - Paul 17th I think Paul will struggle as it is a big jump to the Championship and his squad is not strong enough to easily avoid relegation. However I don't think he will go down. Crystal Palace - Mark 2nd Palace have a really good squad and I think this will be Marks year with some luck. Time for the Premiership for Palace! Leeds Utd - Ric 4th Easily into the playoffs with a great squad for the championship, Ric should be pushing for the title really but I think he will hit the playoffs. Luton Town - Mark Baxter 16th Will struggle I think but I havent looked over the squad too much. Mid table, maybe even a relegation battle if things go wrong. League One Huddersfield Town - Paul Brownley 7th I think Polo will do well at Huddersfield and may even challenege for the play-offs. Not too shabby a squad and a big club. Shrewsbury Town - Fergus 5th Playoffs for Ferg if he can keep it together, a good team and good tactician at the helm. Stoke City - me 2nd Yup I'm full of confidence as I think my squad is much better than last year and I am gonna suprise everyone and bounce back up straight away! Prediction 3rd Bolton-Andy I think andy is building a very good side at bolton and i expect them to be a tough team to beat at the reebok but away form could be key Prediction 8th Championship Leeds Ric has done an excellent job since taking over at leeds which was opitimised by promotion to premiership, but it was always going to be a tough ask to stay up,i expect leeds to be near the top of the table but its never easy to bounce straight back up. Prediction 4th Cardiff-Paul C Cardiff dont have enough quality at the moment to sustain any consistency in what is a very competitive league and with finances a problem it may be a long season for paul Prediction 16th Palace-Mark My team is is quite young but ive brought in players that have potential to play in the premiership and its time for these guys to proove to me this. Prediction 6th Luton-Mark B Having recently taken over it will take a bit of rebuilding but ive been impressed with the signings that have been made by mark, some real quality brought in but may take a bit of time for them to gel. Prediction 13th Division 1 Stoke-Tony I expect a strong promotion push from what should be one of the strongest sides in div1 but may have to be content with the playoffs but should be a good bet to come through these. Prediction 3rd Shrewsbury-Fergus Dont see enough quality for shrewsbury to be anything other than mid table although if fergus can manage to get some players on loan of the calibre of mick harper who knows. Prediction 9th Conference Harrogate-polo Polo is a manager with a wealth of experience who has recently been appointed huddersfield manager,i must say i have little idea of the team polo will inherit but im sure he will take them down, oops up! Old Git
What was supposed to be a season in which Shrewsbury pushed themselves closer at the top, has ended in being a nightmare as key player after key player succumbed to the cabbage patch of a pitch and went long term sick. Many young kids played far more games than they should have, and as a result, the Shrewsbury boys find themselves languishing at the foot of the table. On a more positive note, both Fernandes and Harper have returned on loan, the experienced players are on their way back, and with a bit of luck over the next couple of months the team should be able to climb to respectability. Old Git
Just when you thought things were about to turn around, along comes something to kick you in the teeth. Xmas came and went with Shrewsbury still in the bottom four, however given the quirkiness of this division were only 8 points of the playoffs. A couple of wins, a few draws and a horrible 5-1 drubbing at Crewe saw the Shrews climb ....... nowhere! And are still 10 points of playoff slots. Shrewsbury have become the draw specialists in the division and have the art of throwing away leads in the last five minutes down to a tee! With quite a few games left till the end of the season, the fans remain ever hopeful that the club can awake from its slumber and climb up the ladder!
