Gooner_1984
After years of creating decent tactics on the PC version I thought i'd have a go on the PSP and erm...i'm crap. I'm managing Arsenal and want to play a 4-4-2 diamond. My staring 11 is: GK: Frey DL: Cole DR: Lauren DC: Felipe DC: Campbell DMC: Palombo ML: Reyes MR: Ljunberg AMC: Messi FC: Llorente FC: Henry Even with that attacking force in not creating chances and have scored 1 goal in 5 games! I'm also raining goals and have recently lost 3-0 to Villa! Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks.

sean_oc16
There are quite a few threads on the forum dedicated to tactics, but i would recommend using a 4-3-3 formation with: Team Instructions Emphasis: Attacking; Passing:Short; Tackling:Normal; Pressing:Yes Player Instructions: Passing:Team (all) Tackling:Team (all except DC's and MC's) Pressing:Team (all except GK and DEF) Paa To:R/L/C (all) Free Role:No (all except 2 outer FC's) Foward RunsYes (all except GK,DC's,1MC) Run With BallNo (all except L/RMC, L/RFC) Hold Up BallNo (all except 1MC and 1FC) Long ShotsNo (all except 3MC's) Through BallsNo (all except 3MC's) Cross BallNo (all except DR/L,L/RMC,L/RFC) MarkingNone (GK,FC's); Man(2DC's); Zonal(rest) I have had lots of success with this tactic and with slightly different instructions so you might have to experiment a bit. Hope This Helps.
Jambo_Dave
Have a look at the "My Winning Tactic" thread, its got my 3-5-2 tactic that I use and generally I win everything every season with it.

Kaufebeen
i used the diamond before and i won everything(albeit with man utd but you are arsenal so...) If you have the players needed at diamond formation already (plus backup), then u may consider keeping it and just tweak the settings. some standards settings many people on this forum use: Free Role: 2 wingers Passing: Short (with defence+gk normal if you want) Pressing: All except defence and GK Forward Runs: DR+DL on except against 4-5-1. rest of midfield you decide For your diamond i suggest Emphasis: Normal Run with ball: ML + MR + AMC Hold up ball: DMC Long Shots : AMC only Through Balls: AMC only Cross ball: DL+DR+ML+MR Marking: GK none, DC Man, Rest zonal Some things to consider: When in need of a goal set everyone except gk and dc to forward runs and run with ball. Depending on your positioning stats of your defence i set offside trap on when i do this. When against 4-5-1, set DCs to zonal and switch off wingback's forward runs. Consider switching to defensive+counter attack when you only see action from the enemy in first 20-30 minutes Your dmc must be someone with good passing and STRENGTH to perform the holding role. You have Messi, he is great for your amc diamond. Diego (position AMC only) may perform better than messi though it seems. Henry's heading sux, not too sure about Llorente but i think its average. You may consider switching off the crossings (or at least from your midfielders).
