Deano565
Im downloading the patch from Rapidshare, its got to 47% and hasnt moved for the last 20 mins. Considering its taken 2 hours just to get that far, i dont want to have to cancel the download and start again. Any idea if/how i can get it going again? Cheers
Deano565
Anyone? Cancelled it and tried downloading a smaller, compressed file which is 108mb, its at 52% but once again, its frozen. Getting frustrated
Administrators Neil Brock Posted February 26, 2009 Administrators Share Posted February 26, 2009 I would suggest downloading a 'download manager' by searching Google. This would make your downloading process much easier.
TheOriginalJez
You can *try* doing it in Opera or a download manager and (right click) resuming the transfer, but it might not work because of the way Rapidshare 'protects' downloads. Opera's your best bet imo, and if it doesn't work from rapidshare Opera has a built in BitTorrent client too
Deano565
Just got a download manager but have no idea how to actually run the patch download through it...
TheOriginalJez
highly reccomend opera again, that way you can just browse to the site and start the download as normal if you're unsure what to do. normal download managers and rapidshare are generally incompatible because of the way rapidshare handles files. Deano565
ok downloading opera at the moment, im a million miles from being a computer expert though :S. wish there was a filefront mirror available, rapidshare never seems to work
Deano565
If your still online Jez, is it as simple as using the Opera browser to go to the download link and just downloading it as normal through there?
Deano565
Dont worry, appears to be working through Opera. If it stops again ill just have to wait for the filefront link. Cheers for your help
TheOriginalJez
Yep that simple, if it stops in transfers right click on the file and choose 'resume'
