DB11
I am Leicester. I've just beaten Sheff Utd. in the 3rd round 3-0 and I get asked how confident I am of winning it. Well... I'm Leicester of course I don't think I can win it. Instead of stating the obvious the worst ones I can say are "I'm totally demoralised" or "I have no confidence at all". Well saying I'm demoralised after beating Sheff U 3-0 isn't exactly true so can't I just say I think there are a lot better teams still left in the competition or something?? Please fix it
Mike7077
Yeah, I got asked this after winning an FA Cup match with Kidderminster. Why the hell would anyone ask the manager of Kidderminster if he thought he could win the cup?
stuboy
Only time I've ever answered this was when I got into semi of Italain Cup the year after winning it, said I was fairly confident, and I won the cup. Moral is if you say you are fairly confident then you will win the cup
DanGLiverpool
Whenever I get asked in the lower leagues, I pick the middle comment. Same with loans from parent clubs, being asked whether I would sign them permanently.
heathxxx
I don't mind it really. It's a great opportunity for those of us managing smaller clubs to give a "tongue in cheek" response to the media - I particularly like adding my own comments to the effect of... "and we've already booked the hotel for Wembley, one Sir Alex recommended!"
