You cann't your resolution is dependent upon that supported by your graphics card and monitor, if your monitor only supports 1024x768 then you would need to by a new monitor. (Depending on your graphics card you may be able to extend the resolution past the monitors max, but you'd then need to scroll to see the rest of the screen).
