Philip Thomas
Has anyone noticed that there is a complete lack of English talent coming through? Or is it just me? Am currently in Jan 2016, managing Newcastle (via Bryne, Leeds and Ghana) and England. I am seriously struggling to find quality young englishmen. The likes of Woods, Curtis Davies, Jose Baxter, Andy Carroll, James Vaughan are already well established players, but I am trying to find the "next crop". So far I'm not getting anything. I have top quality scouts scouring the country too, but to no avail. This raises concern for my future England squads. The U21 side is nothing special. For Newcastle, my promising youngsters are all found abroad. Perhaps though, this reflects real life? Is there a current lack of English talent at grass roots level? Scott08
Look at Man United and Arsenal's youth sides. There's usually a few in there. By now i should imagine a lot of the EPL clubs have state of the art youth facilities.
