yNnOs
Playing Brentford in a League 2 fixture and their keeper just got sent off for handling the ball outside the box. First time I've ever seen this on any FM/CM. Anyone else ever witnessed this?
Rafa2007
Playing Brentford in a League 2 fixture and their keeper just got sent off for handling the ball outside the box. First time I've ever seen this on any FM/CM. Anyone else ever witnessed this? Happened to my opponent in my FM09 Liverpool save, was unlucky, was a ball hit back from half way in the air, took a bad bounce and he stuck his arm out. Hazzydeepy
I have had it happen to me on FM09, but I never encountered it before this version.
tomtuck01
Indeed I have witnessed thread it. Thread closed?
schwefumbler
I had it happen to my opponent once. I was flabbergasted.
reddevil0728
Never see doesn't mean don't have.
amdolev
happend to me once... but it's very strange to happen to a keeper in the game, since you never get handballs from the other players on the pitch
Nik_Dut
^ Second that. SI should make handsball more common, and not only goalie.
Carl87
Thread closed? No. I haven't seen it, but I agree it should be a bit more common. Not too common though.
SSGTroyer
Happened to me two seasons ago. I was shocked... And for handballs in general, well, I get them often enough. That is to say, not very often, but it happens...Midfielders getting flagged on 50-50 headers, most commonly.
9sublime
I get a fair few handballs.
R-dizzle
Think handballs should be put in the game a bit more for outfield players especially as a good few pens are given in real life based on this. Of course, it should be done so that, also in real life, nothing is given when the ball hits the hand and the player could do nothing to prevent it. The ol' Ball to Hand situation. I've not had a single hand ball given, that I remember of anyway. As for the OP, never seen this myself but Cech did get sent off in the CL Final a few seasons ago. acidmonkey
yup i had my keeper race out of the box with no pressure only to handball and get sent off
Dave Fairbairn
I've won a game from my striker doing a hand of god and a few fouls given, but never seen anyone sent off for it.
BobMUFC08
Its happened to me once in all of FM, didnt even mind because it was something different.
Sel
ustari for my getafe side was yellow carded but it looked like he only took a step and i was more surprised he did it than the card
phnompenhandy
Goalkeepers are red-carded and get red injuries far too rarely in the game. As a result I never have a keeper on the bench and only have 2 in my entire squad. I do think this needs to be tweaked upwards. I wonder if SI can produce statistics to compare how often goalkeepers fail to complete 90 minutes in real life compared to the game.
rhacer
I've seen it happen twice. Once when the opposition did it their keeper got a red. Once when my keeper did it my keeper got a yellow. As to players in the field getting hand balls I see it all the time.
earmack
In FM07 my keeper went up for a corner in the last minute (losing the game) and handballed and got sent off. Quite funny.
Munchkin
has anyone got a screenshot match or news report
Sussex Hammer
Robert Green did it for me. Amazingly he only got a yellow card. Must say though the amount of times my crosses hit the full backs you would think I would get one hand ball off them!!!
stinger061
I had my keeper sent off for a handball outside the box, and me with my theory of never having a 2nd keeper on the bench meant I played out 70 minutes with a central defender in goal, we drew 1-1 As for handballs in normal play there probably is enough of them, it's just not something you'd actually notice all that often, especially if you watch only key highlights
joshpea4
I've only seen it once, it was in FM09 and the ball went past him and he just handballed it on the edge of the area.
jim stjfc
he would only get sent off if he is preventing a goal or something similar, handball on its on is only ever a yellow card offence at the most and even that is left to the refs discretion
