(((((~NEWBROOK~)))))
I have sat and read this thread all last night and most of to night and i have to say good work kept me wanting to know more about the "legendary" tatic so last night while reading i loaded up a old saved game i had with West Brom 2009-2010 season and started playing using the tactic as most people said it takes a while for the team to gel and for them to adapt to the tactic with high expectation anyway and an under performing side the tactic didnt kick in quick enough for me and i eventually got the sack so i added a new manager back into the game to manage West Brom so i can see what might be if i was given a longer chance When i loaded up my game i was sitting in 19th place (January) and now with one game left to go in the prem i can end up finishing 10th The team has really got a good understanding of the tactic now and are putting on some real good performances i am adopting what people have said and have signed 3 new strong pacey english centre backs for the new season cant wait to see if i can start moving back up the table in the next season
CelticWiseman
Chaps, I have made a holding page for andy's tactic, and some various training regimes. I have put a contact email on there if someone has anything they wish me to add, and I will add intructions on how to install the training etc later, but kinda hoping people know how to do this now. AndySAFC - I have the updated version hosted (CF on one defender changed I believe), so if there is another you want me to host, email me at the same address as before. rpoquinn
just wanted to state my thanks for sharing this tactic - it has been absolutely amazing. i got fired from my first job, and decided to take the first job i was offered. i ended up with huddersfield town in 20th place L1 on new years eve 2008 as a manager with a poor reputation and virtually no funds. right this moment it is june of 2010. huddersfield are entering the premiership - consecutive promotions, including the championship title. to top it off, i am about to lead england onto to the pitch for world cup 2010. i use the tactic for them as well - and scored 56 goals in world cup qualifying. thanks again andysafc - you have literally saved my game! rpoquinn
in the above story, i took over on 12/31/07, not 12/31/08. sorry! huddersfield finished 10th in 07-08 in league 1, 3rd in league 1 and won playoffs in 08-09, and 1st in championship 09-10. Paggioram
OK update time. I am starting to think that it is not possible to win the league and the European cup in the same season. In Europe I am unstoppable. This includes the European Supercup. I have not not dropped a goal or a point and am through the group stage in style!. The Premier League however. I cannot get a run of games going at all I am sitting 12th highlight was a 4 - 0 win over Liverpool. Scoring is difficult and I keep losing by the odd goal I am getting chances but not finishing I even tried slowing the tempo. I am hoping the second half of the season will be better because I am adding another defender to the mix in Silvestre from Utd who is quick and great at Heading and Tackling and should have the experience to help well I hope. I just need something to kick start my league season while the championship is just in my reach. Any more tips will be nice but I think it is the europe thing to be honest. I will let you know what happens next.
Al Bundy
Just tried this tactic with bigger team - Barcelona and results are incredible. In 2 season: 2 x Spanish league 2 x Champs League 1 x Spanish cup + ... all the small cups. Incredible. Small tip: I've found if I play one halftime with one targetman and he doesnt score or is "graded" by 6/7 then I substitute him with another targetman and he scores in 80% of time. Sorry for grammar, english not 1st language, hope you understood

KevinLFC
I just won 6-0 and had less shots, less possesion and my keeper got a 10 and man of the match against Bolton at home. I am just wondering have I downloaded the wrong version and ended up getting the attacking one?. I have Mikel and Danlinho in midfield and my defence is ok I have Bale, Jagielka, o'shea. Ratinho and Pineda.

I'm not sure why people keep thinking that there are different versions of this tactic. There are NO changes to the team instructions in ant version. Just slight changes to one or two player instructions. The farrows on the fullbacks should only be used when nessassary. Really speaking the tactic barely changed since the original one started right back on page ONE.
sunny
Hello people! A little update of how it is going: ] As you can see im on 2nd place half way through the season. I was struggling at first as expected. But when the team had settled a little bit i could see the results come in. My entire defence is new to the last season, but i felt i had to and take the chance to do that. But i think if i manager promotion i dont have to change my defence. The negative side is that i have trouble scoring. I often get 0-0 results or 1-0. But i guess i just have to live with it until i get a full blended team(hopefully in the premiership). Paggioram
Right then I was not going to update but I am. As you all know I am in Season 4 and I challenged myself to try and win a European/UEFA cup and a Premier League title as this has not been done before. So far disaster. Unstoppable in Europe and really struggling in the leage (see my last update). OK I then sat down and looked at this season and also the last couple of seasons and found that this leaking single goals was a common thread so it needed to stop or I needed to score more goals. So I did two minor changes and my lord it effect both things. I am now seven games further on and I won all seven conceding just one goal a penalty in the league cup to Pompy and scored 3 goals in 5 of the games and the others just the one. So what are the changes I hear you ask. I moved the D-Line to dead on half way which works as a normal and that seems to have steadied the ship and I have ticked Counter Attack and things have improved. So here are my competition updates. Premier League - 6th - 5 Points adrift Champions League - Second Round - Awaiting Draw Wuropean Super Cup - WON League Cup - Quarter Final - Home to Villa FA Cup - Third Round - Awaiting Draw I will keep you all informed what happens next. blade111
andysafc I've now started a new game a couple of divisions up like you advised. Now dont slaughter me as I've looked every where for the answer, you say you need players in the midfield with high work rate and high closing down, what good attributes does a player need for closing down. (((((~NEWBROOK~)))))
Due to a short attention span and a interest for trying this tactic out in the lower leagues i have loaded up my Shrewsbury game (in which i had only played one match) Just played my first two matches Wrexham (h) lost 3-1 (old tactic) (this tactic) Peterbourgh (a) won 2-0 MK Dons (h) Won 6-0 I have Leo Fortune West on loan and have set him as my target man, his shooting attribute is woeful but he managed to score a hat trick against the Dons and one goal against Peterbourgh Hopefully this is the way it will be for a while

kroshot
just an update on my first season with birmingham(again).half way through i`m sitting top of the premiership 7pts clear the team is playing superbly.i think like sunny and andysafc have said the midfield is very important in this tactic,i`ve found having players with high determination, aggression, bravery, workrate, teamwork, the midfield never gets over run.this is my squad at the moment gk maik taylor rb parnaby/kelly lb quedrue/sadler cb hangeland cb djourou cb/dm muamba cm haestad cm oubina/nafti fl mcsheffery/jerome tm zigic/iversen fr kallon/o`connor/c.delgado only signed hangeland, haestad, zigic, delgado and iversen so tried to keep it to a minimum.i will update later. kroshot
quick update still top of the league after 24 games 2pts clear of chelsea so still doind well.due to an injury crisis in january forced me to look at a new midfielder,in came dalibor stefanovic looks a good all round midfielder also signed zlatan ljubijankic on loan from espanyol for the rest of the season. sunny
So here to tell you that i managed to get promoted again: ] I struggled really all season. No consistency at all. But i managed to get promoted and im happy with that. There will be max 3 first team players in this season due to i want to blend my team and get promoted again. I think that it is possible, but im not sure it can be done. The main problem ive had these seasons was that my midfield wasnt working as i wanted. They had good mental stats, but they where either too slow or they didnt have good enough passing skills. Also im struggling in front, scoring too little. I hope to get a fast right striker, but we will see what happens this sommer. But all in all im happy with my team, still lots of improvement! rammalc
Scrapped the game and started again ! Downloaded the tactic this morning and used as was without any tinkering . Played as Boston Utd in a new game . Lost all 5 pre-season games with it then all cup games and League form was ; Played ; 22 won ; 2 drawn ; 10 lost ; 10 scored ; 22 conceded ; 31 Absolute bottom of League I signed a 6'3" target man and made sure the two midfield players had a work rate 17+ all in all i think i played 30 games and won 2 . That aside i had seven red cards given against me . I've always played a straight forward 4-4-2 prior to this and never had such a poor run . I guess for me it's one of those tactics that you need the right players to make work , players that i couldn't find or afford . Incidentally , the player mentioned earlier in the thread (Scales?) couldn't even find him in the game !

I would go for JUMPING first of all and see what came up. Then you just have to check all the other stats and make you choice. andysafc
15 is a guideline for EPL teams, and even then your unlikely to get a minimum in all the attributes required for that position. So, you start off at 15 for the most important attribut (TM - Jumping) and you the rest as near as possible. As you drop down each division you need to reduce the figure accordingly. I have said before that the non leagues are the hardest to start a new tactic with, try in a slightly higher division and once you learn what makes the tactic work, then you can restart at a lower level with some confidence and experience. Powello
Good evening everyone!!! A little update for you. After getting Dorchester promoted to the conference I knew I was in for a tough season and wasn't sure if my players could make the step up. Well I was right had a very tough year. upto the last 10 games I was doing quite well and was in 13th place. But in those last few games I lost 8 of them and dropped rapidly. I did manage to finish in 19th place so stayed up. Rather happy with that. Im now 11 games into the third seasonand am currently in 8th place. So everythings going well at the mo
Zadok
This tactic is unbe-f***ing-lievable!!!! Barrow Town, Conference North Finances - about £5k No transfer budget Pretty crap players Board Expectations - Survive Relegation Media Expectations - 15th First team no better than the youths, so I replaced them all, brought in about £10k from sales and spent £7k on a target man and a playmaker. Rest filled up with youth players, average age of team is 18. I'll keep it tight I say, avoid relegation and build slowly towards promotion in 2 or 3 years time. And on comes the tactic. Front 3 all finish with 34 goals each. Target man and left forward get 38 assists. One of the midfielders get 25 goals, mostly free-kicks as he is our specialist (13 for free-kicks) We maul everyone. Played 42, Won 32, Drawn 5, Lost 5, 111 for, 23 Against, +88, 101 Points. Stadium holds 4500, by the end of the year the average gates were 4400. I thought we could improve the stadium, but of course we have no money, right? Wrong. FA Cup. Breezed the qualifying rounds. First Round, away to Nottingham Forest. Great I think, share of the gate reciepts. Hopefully maybe £150k, fantastic for a club like this. We win 2-0. Against a team in what, League One? 3 divisions higher. Second Round. Brighton at home. we win 1-0, I get another £55k in ticket sales, a club record I'm told. 4497 people there. Third Round - home to Man City. 1-1, we took the lead after 5 mins and held it until two minutes to go. Again, I get about £55k from the tickets, but then comes the replay. I got close to £1m. We lost, but we came within a couple of minutes of beating them at home. Fantastic stuff. I also won the FA Trophy but after the start to the season I expected to. We managed to sell a couple of players for great fees as well, with their average ratings being so high. So in total 157 goals scored, 31 conceded. Won the league by 18 points. New 6500 all seater stadium on the way with the close to £2m profits we made. Sure, they had to take out a loan to cover it but we'll survive. By the end of the season we basically could pay off the whole years wage bill with 2 or 3 home games cos of the gate reciepts. So bring on the Conference National! Thank you andyafc, you are indeed a tactical genius.
andysafc
Thanks for the feedback and praise Zadok but you've got to take the applause for what you did with Barrow in the Conference North. Not many people, myself included, could repeat what you did so you obviously used the combination of this tactic with good management skills. Some people still think you can download this tactic and use it with whatever players you have and be able to win the league - you can't. It takes management skills also. marx
it's very good tactic for low level teams. Hovewer, on international level, it's very hard to repeat such a success. I've played Poland vs Holland and for test i've replayed match 6 times to win. The key was to cover wingers in "opponent instruction". Without it it was impossible to even draw. Tt seems that "Opponent instruction" are very important, more important than team talk. How do you set it?
