docklanders Posted April 17, 2009 Share Posted April 17, 2009 For some reason, all of my other folders in my graphics folder work fine, facepacks/backgrounds e.t.c, but every single facepack i have tried with United wont seem to work,even though some have the exact same setup to others, for example one i donwloaded earlier was in the exact same presentation as my Liverpool one, which works fine! michaeltmurrayuk Posted April 17, 2009 Share Posted April 17, 2009 Have you checked to make sure the config file for man utd is correct? Is it every Man Utd player or just some. What you can try doing is to link one of the working images to one of the man utd players (locate the config file for santos and change his id to match jonny evans and see if that displays the image, shadow or nothing). docklanders Posted April 18, 2009 Author Share Posted April 18, 2009 the config file is the same to every other team: config.xml it is every man united player, here is another quick two i will try looking if it works with the default skin now, i think you are correct, as i downloaded a manchester united facepack as the first facepack i ever downloaded, it was on the default skin and it worked fine, i have tried numerous others including the same one, but it still wont seem to show up. radestock Posted April 18, 2009 Share Posted April 18, 2009 It has to be a bad or missing config file. Go through every folder and make sure there are no duplcates. Also make sure you've not moved the pictures into another folder and left the config file behind. For most packs the config file sits in the same folder as the actual pictures. michaeltmurrayuk Posted April 19, 2009 Share Posted April 19, 2009 The config file looks correct, you can try renaming the Man United folder to manutd as the game doesn't always like spaces or capital letters in the folder name. If you then load the game and go into the preferences menu and make sure the skin cache is off, tick always reload skin and click confirm to refresh the graphics and see if that works. You can also try deleting the actual cache files: Mac OSX 1. Open Finder. 2. Select <User> 3. Navigate to Library\Caches\Sports Interactive 4. Delete the the "Sports Interactive” Folder. 5. In the Library folder find the folder called "Preferences" 6. Delete the "Sports Interactive" Folder. If that doesn't work look through your graphics folder and see if there are any rogue xml files lying around, if the Mac lets you search within files, search for one of the IDs of the Utd players to see if any other files on your computer have the same id in them (pick one of the long numbers). On a serious not, found it, in my English non league badges folder, there are sub folders for level 1 level 2 isthmian e.t.c. In that folder, there was a config file, i think i must have dropped it there by accident, but i have just deleted it, and it came back fine now to add the other graphics folders and hope it stays the same, cheers guys Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
