Ohmyhovel
Not a happy bunny ! I somehow managed to overwrite my favourite longtime game! I was hoping for a solution as I have auto-save but it must just autosave over the current save rather then an alternate file ! Basically I started a new game on that 99/00 database and after I created my new manager it came up would you like to save, I clicked yes and called my game 99/00, it said it couldn't save as that name due to the / and the box disappeared so I pressed control + S assuming the box would come up but instead it saved as what I thought was untitled game but when I quit my game and returned later my most recently saved file was my long term game , I am very disappointed tbf because it was the best I have ever done on a football simulation game. pnefc22
And, that is why you should use a rolling auto-save between three files. Plus, I also back up any games of mine.
Ohmyhovel
I think I have a rolling auto-save but can't see where it would be. http://i40.tinypic.com/2crul9x.png
spurz123
It would normally come up in the same folder as your name save, called 'save name (voX)'
pnefc22
You use genie scout or fmrte don't you? It will be in games folder or if you click load game and then under 'game name (vo3) or (v02)
Ohmyhovel
hmm nope, very strange, the only game which seems to have backups that are 'game name (v01)' are ones where I have holiday'd a season. Very disappointing thanks for the help though =]
