craig gresham
I believe that this tactic is that good that it deserves its own thread. i started using it halfway through my first season with sheff wed and got promoted as runner up. came second in my first season in premieship, also winning the the league cup. i then won the premiership in my third season along with the league cup, fa cup and a semi-final in the champions cup. I then decided to try it with a lower league team. I picked Cambridge and we're currently sat in first place after playing 18 games. we've won 17 and drawn 1 so far, scoring 55 and conceeding 20. i really think this is awsome, you should give it a try. --------GK-------- ----DC-----DC---- ---DMC----DMC--- MR-------------ML ---AMC----AMC--- ----FC-----FC---- Team Instructions: Emphasis: Normal Passing: Short Tackling: Hard Pressing: Yes Everything else set to no. hitemfrank
ok did 7 games so far - 5 wins 2 loses 2 loses were against poor oppositoin so i dont really know whats going on will do more testing.... edit: 13 games - 2 losses and 1 draw i am picking up a lot more injuries than i ever had before- maybe be a coincidence or maybe due to players closer down constantly but either way but 69% win rate at the moment is pretty good edit2: 21 games - 71% win rate
craig gresham
if you find yourself a goal down change to attacking emphasis. not sure why they seem to be gettieng injured. i have my fitness in training set to highest setting in all fields. hope this helps. craig gresham
with my cambridge game i'm currently sat in first place after playing 31 games. I've won 28, drawn 2 and lost 1. I've managed to rack up 89 goals and conceeding 30. I'm on 86 points, thats an amazing 28 point gap in front of second place.

hitemfrank
currently trying it out with king's lynn in the blue square north - really has been a mixed bag so far. not many points on the board - wins are impressive and losses are always tight matches
craig gresham
in my second season with cambridge and still going strong. Played 18, won 16 and drawn 2 as well as the cup games i'm involved in. Noble-lazarus is a real goal machine, currently being partnered by jose baxter.
hitemfrank
i did as far as january (on holiday) with this tactic and was in 20th of 24 and found the main problem was my striker not bein able to hit the target - 80 on target from over 300 shots even the games i lost 2 or 3 nil i had the better of the game but my forwards are useless so i be trying to invest in more clinical finishers
Jambo_Dave
HitemFrank, are you on the PSP or the PC? Sounds like pc to me with blue square north.... This is a psp tactic thread, pretty sure this tactic will NEVER do anything on the PC.
hitemfrank
ye my bad - just seen tactic on main page - it was one of the featured treads but anyway it actually did a decent job 71% win rate isnt to be turned away lightly. averaged over a 38 game season thats 81 points from wins and with the two to win ratio i had with draws over losses its a tactic which could get promotion if not win a league or two this is where i bow out of this tread............
scottc18
How could this tactic be used on the pc version if the way you set the tactics up is completely different then on handheld?
hitemfrank
from th OP: Team Instructions: Emphasis: Normal Passing: Short Tackling: Hard Pressing: Yes Everything else set to no. this can be set up quite easily on pc where he has "Everything else set to no" just leave it as 'normal' all the player stuff can be set up too so im not sure why you seem to doubt the fact that i used it the problem i had with this tactic in the blue square north is that the players are tooo poor to play this tactic - mainly the long shots is the issue. scottc18
I was wonderin how you used it but you explained that you only used the team instructions.
craig gresham
Second season just finished using this tactic. I think its safe to say its quite successful. We're now promoted to league 1. We played 46 league games, winning 36, drawing 8 and losing only 2. we banged in 109 goals and conceded 33. Manager stats for the past 2 season's are: Games played: 115 Games won: 94 - 81.7% Games drawn: 13 - 11.3% Games lost: 8 - 7% Goals scored: 319 - 2.77 p/m Goals conceded: 100 - 0.87 p/m I hope everyone else who has tried this tactic is having as much joy as i am. craig gresham
so far using this tactic i've been promoted from the bsp up the leagues as champions, we're now in the championship. we've won every lower league trophy possible and managed to get to the semi's in both fa cup and league cup. as manager i won manager of the year in every league, also the player and young player of the year was awarded to my players every year. i'll post full stats later. craig gresham
Full manager stats using this tactic for 3 full seasons. Games played = 203 Games won = 155 - 76.4% Games drawn = 32 - 15.8% Games lost = 16 - 7.9% Goals scored = 529 - 2.61p/m Goals conceded = 190 - 0.94p/m Now playing in the Coca Cola Championship. Had to make some heavy changes as some of my top players wouldn't re-sign a contract. i must also note that i've had no transfer money at the begining of each season and my currnet maximum wage is only £3,500 per week. Currently played 19, won 9, drawn 7 and lost 3. hope the team starts to gel soon and start turning the draws in to wins.
craig gresham
Got promoted to the premier league after finishing second place, behind reading. We also won the FA Cup beating Fulham in the final. now i'll see how good this tactic really is after four full seasons using it.

craig gresham
this is my current first team in the prem: GK - Rob Van der Laan DC - Damien Guillo DC - Mateo Musacchio DMC - Vincent Girard DMC - Silvano Raggio Garibaldi ML - Jack Wilshere MR - Clement Grenier AMC - Henri Saivet AMC - Andreas Laudrup FC - Guilherme FC - Danny Welbeck Most of the above players i had in League 1 and got them all on free transfers. Just got a cash injection from a foriegn source of £28m. Haven't bought any superstars just youngsters for the future. Also, just had a £36m offer for Danny Welbeck from Inter Milan, i refused it of course. We've currently played 4, won 2 and drawn 2. Scored 8 and conceded 5. gorillaradio
Maybe it works best in weak leauges? There are some tactics around that are good for lower quality leagues but not so in the top tier.
craig gresham
i wouldn't call the premier league a weak league.
