  1. Pep has managed Bournemouth and got sacked in my game so this is something they need to work on anyway.
  2. I'm pretty sure this will be the case and is there anything to suggest that it's not? No one is forcing anything on to anyone. The women's game is a growing market with increasing attendances and it makes sense that FM would want to be in on that.
  3. I don't have fm24 unfortunately, but would try it if the game was on sale and the mod came out. No actual requests I'd just be really interested. My Dad always talked of the Bristol City teams from back then.
  4. Whenever Miles opens his mouth he always makes a mess out of this stuff.
  5. I had a really enjoyable game a few years back on FM14 where I managed to make Connah's Quay into a top two team over 6 years. This was before they won it in real life, but I just couldn't topple TNS. I've not really got much helpful advice as it's been so long, but I did enjoy it so it's worth a try. I plan to go back at some point, but my games since then have been a long one club save in Portugal and my current game is a journeyman one so it's been hard to find the time to go back.
  6. Thanks for this! The amount of agent offers is annoying, but I'm mixed on how realistic it is which is why I've not tried to remove it yet. I imagine in real life an agent would go to the recruitment team who would sift through it, and I pay my team good money so they can deal with it. Going to turn it off. If you are scouting to many players then I would turn off automatic updates. I cull my scout priorities list every now and again. I also only add people to the shortlist for a year and then revaluate them after that - I've found it much more manageable this way. FM22 btw.
  7. I gave Hugh Dick a trial to try and keep him in the game after Exeter released him and no one else took a punt on him.
  8. I've wondered about this on FM22. I'm at Utrecht. I have 2 regular youth players and then a number coming up getting game time. I can't just chuck them in and qualify for the CL as the expectation, but it seems they don't really consider players in the fringes to be meeting the criteria. I get it's hard for the game to replicate the nuances, but it can be a bit frustrating. The promises section is ***** anyway and I always try to remove them.
  9. Head cannon needs to be that there is some famous Activist, or awful reality star that broke out around 16 years prior hence the surge in the popularity of a particular name. How does the naming work? I imagine it's totally random for each generated person so that always means that there is a good chance of stuff like this happening as the odds of that name being picked don't actually change. I guess similar to why it feels like a playlist always gravitates towards one song even when you shuffle it each time you start a session. It seems a bias, but it's not. (At least that's how it was explained to me. I am really rubbish with maths and probability.)
  10. I've had my Utrecht team doing this recently, but my strikers don't have amazing finishing. I've been testing training chance conversion in the week and that does seem to have helped. Could be worth trying? I did similar when I first joined and we were conceding stupid amounts of set pieces and that seemed to help too a bit.
  11. Cheers will take a look. My search was probably too specific.
  12. Sorry for the new thread I did a search, but couldn't see much. I've never really ventured much into the training section beyond individual and mentoring. I have just found units and am going to play around with putting my wingback into the attacking unit as hopefully that will help him to develop the connection with the IF. I noticed I can put some Under 23 players into first team units so they train with the first team. Is there any negative to doing this? Strain upon the staff I'm guessing? Also are the benefits that they can train with better players. I've noticed I can't add the U23 player to mentoring. I am just going to put in a couple but wondered if anyone knew, or used this feature much?
  13. I find starting with creative freedom as normal and then adjusting it if we aren't winning is helpful. Also adjusting the tempo and approach play can help too. You might be having 22 shots, but they might be low quality. I've also used a WB on one side and a FB on the other side to try and add some defensive balance. I also have a IF and a W in the advance roles. This is with overlap and focus on wings turned on. I also play wide which might be unwise but seems to work. I've always had trouble getting in higher levels of shots in Mobile FM, and this approach has resulted in a good improvement in goals scored for my glory game with AC Milan. I'd advise making small tweeks. Far from an expert just to be clear. Also I've never had any luck on full FM or mobile with work ball into the box.
