In addition to the above, I would also question some of the PAs that have been handed out. A -95 for a player who has played 0 minutes of men's football and no international football higher than U17s when every other -95 player in the DB is a regular for the first team of their club and/or country. There is no other English player with a random PA that high, it's far too early to be claiming him to be the best player England could produce when he's not shown anything above his own age group internationally or above what is widely regarded as an unfit for purpose PL U21s competition in England.  There's also 7 -85 players, only Ajax have more and they're the joint highest in England (Chelsea the other). If everything works out, they've almost got a full 11 of potentially world class level players of whom collectively have less than 100 games of senior football and 74 of those are from one player. Don't get me wrong, a number of those may be perfectly justifiable but on paper at the moment it sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the DB and other players of similar ages who are already playing first team football at a high level.

Also to add on top of that with Jamie Donley having an injury proneness of 1 at only 18 seems a bit odd.

Has no mental traits filled in at all yet has a 1 for that already. I'd understand a minus rating so it's a random low number if he has barely ever been injured for academy sides but having set it at 1 for an 18 year old seems very premature.

Southampton - Carlos Alcaraz - All his Transfer Clauses are added Double

All Southampton Promotion Clauses 82% rise seems very high!

If anything I'd imagine they're actually higher at 100%.

Standard now from L1 > Champ and Champ > PL to have wages doubled due to the increase in revenue.

He takes players on with ease. In 2021/22 he had the more successful dribbles per 90 than any other central midfielder at this level. Just a simple search of his name on YouTube will bring up compilations that show he probably deserves better than a 10 dribbling rating

As just stated, I have watched him as a fan and also professionally for a number of years.

For me there is a big difference in beating a player whilst running (which is what a successful dribble as a metric is classed as) and being a good dribbler.

Transfermarkt is good for reviewing player positions. According to that he's only played 3 games in those positions, I wouldn't say this makes him accomplished there? My main question is should he really be comfortable in 8 positions already?

Regarding the academy scouts - I'm not asking for these to be added into the game, my point is Newcastle have massively invested and stepped up the youth-recruitment to the point where it's likely better than the vast majority of PL clubs outside of the Big 6. Surely 'above-average' isn't high enough?

It is half ok for U21's but not any level beneath that. I've looked at games I've seen him play in for the U21's and know that some of the positions are wrong. There will be a reason he has that rating and from someone who has seen him for a very long time.

The rating in the DB looks quite fair to me considering it's only just been established.

Lewis Hall: He's an England U21 international and was one of the brightest sparks in his appearances for Chelsea last season, scoring huge numbers with his tackles, interceptions, take-ons, chances created etc. so much so we're buying him for up to £35m. Look at his Fbref profile below. His in-game stats make him look like a lower Championship level player, which I just don't understand. In-game he is at least competent in 8 positions, some of which make no sense. He's definitely not a CB or CAM and hardly has any youth appearances there, so why is he 'accomplished' in them? This is probably eating into his CA rating as well. I'm not sure what his PA rating is just yet, but I'd expect it to be -8.5 minimum. My scouts have him 4* potential in the game, which has me concerned he's still only at -8?

Point one on Lewis Hall. How long have you been watching before he signed for Newcastle to know he's never played at CB or as a 10? I've watched him play at centre back and a 10 and I've barely seen him play at all compared to the Chelsea researcher who watches an incredible amount of Chelsea academy football.

A -8 is still an incredibly good potential. The amount of players that hit the top end of a -85 in their is not that high at all, it's a world class level and again, the researcher has seen him for a number of years.

Regarindg the recruitment setup. All of the above are academy scouts and not first-team scouts and aren't included in game.

Panutche Camara's dribbling should be higher than 10 imo. He's well known as one of the better dribblers from midfield at this level so 10 definitely feels a bit low

Having watched him very closely for a number of years I disagree on this. He's not a great 'dribbler' as such for me, just carries the ball forwards a lot but he's not intricate with his dribbling.

    Plymouth Argyle

George Roberts has been appointed Head of Academy Operations but don't know what role that would come under.

    https://www.cornwallfa.com/news/2022/nov/15/george-roberts-to-leave-cornwall-fa-to-lead-on-academy-operations-at-plymouth-argyle-football-club

Gareth Law replaces Nick Fulton as Head Physio

Matt Ellery is Foundation Phase Lead Coach

Erin Spiller is Head of Academy Medical

    https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/sport/football/plymouth-argyle-appoint-gareth-law-7900758.amp

George Roberts - No role for him in game.

Matt Ellery - No role for him in game.

Gareth Law - News isn't really needed to be posted in here but is reflected in the next update.

Erin Spiller - Waiting back on more information as to what exactly her role is as Tom Hunter is still employed to my knowledge.

Some of the Norwich promotion wage rises seem absolutely crazy. I just got promoted and my wage bill nearly doubled (putting me 200k over the limit) I've not signed new contracts with players and now Pukki gets £100k a week, Giannoulis and Sara £60k and Placheta £50k.  I don't know if the researcher has some evidence that isn't publicly available but these seem pretty wildly unrealistic and outside of the club's wage structure to me.

Welcome to the real world. Very similar to how clubs in real life will work with promotions, especially to the Premier League.

    One for Plymouth Argyle.

In transfer clauses the Jack Stephens clause is still present. 10%.

I am 99.9% sure we cashed this in during the covid lockdowns. I've checked for articles that confirmed it and the company accounts but nothing, so far.

Also, with the news in August of the purchase of land to build a new training facility, can this not be factored into the game some how? I was thinking already in motion when you load up a new game but completes in summer 2023?

If you can find something on the Stephens clause that'd be great as can't remember it myself.

Already spoken to Dean about the training ground. Not sure if it's actually in game but the high cash balance is there in game for that purpose.

On Hull City's transfer history page Robbie McKenzie is shown as outgoing this summer - he left 3 summers ago and is about to start his 3rd season at Gillingham. On his player history is displays him as signing for Gillingham on a free twice (this season & 2 seasons ago)

He did re-sign for Gillingham this summer but odd as to why he's on Hull's page.

Couple issues with Tottenham's backroom staff:

    1. Tottenham appointed Leonardo Gabbanini as the new chief scout. I understand Leonardo Gabbanini was never in any previous Football Manager database. (Source: https://theathletic.com/3508852/2022/08/15/tottenham-leonardo-gabbanini-watford-scout/)

    2. Andy Scoulding (previously worked for Rangers) joined as a head of football strategy (similar to recruitment analyst I think) and Jeff Vetere joined as a scout. (Source: https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/fabio-paratici-real-madrid-tottenham-25066662)

    3. Three coaches are missing: Former Manchester City head of academy coaching Simon Davies (currently not in the game database, he is not the Simon Davies in Peterborough) was appointed in mid-August as head of coaching methodology for the academy (U21); Jermain Defoe (currently unemployed in the game) is now coach for Tottenham U17-U21 teams; Yaya Toure (currently unemployed in the game) is mainly working as the U16 team coach (any chance to put him in Tottenham's U18?). Thank you!

Far more senior than a Recruitment Analyst.

    Cardiff City

Steve Morison (Manager) & Tom Ramasut (Assistant Manager) were both sacked on 18th September but still at the club in the game.

Gavin Reen (Head of youth Development) apparently, Should be Academy operations manager (Obviously this isn't a role within the game) - This is going to be an issue with the pending arrival of Gavin Chesterfield on November 14th

Steve Sallis - Shows as a coach. When he is Head of Performance Mindset (Again not a role within the game - unless this is similar to a performance analyst?)

Definitely more of a coach role than analyst.
