I cant remember which version, late 90's early 00's, but cambridge Utd used to have good players to sign, Trevor Benjamin and a couple others.

Great.
Anybody get Pablo Nino from Betis? Left forward with the ball stuck to his feet.
Roberto Stellone, an Italian goal machine.
Can't beleive Serge Makofo has only been mentioned once, also unreal.
Roberto Stellone was amazing in 97/98 version!! i would always sign him, i randomly found him when i was doing a italian career save and got the Italy job, i decided i wanted to unearth a new Number 9 sensation and this proved to be an astute decision as he went on to score something like 80 odd goals in 90 odd games.

without arguing, i would have to disagree about including Khouma Babacar as he is still under 20/21 and has time on his hands to fufill his potential.

Pablo Vitti was a great player in FM06, but he never made it to a higher level. Taking from his wikipedia page: "Vitti was an integral part of the Argentina Under-20 squad that won the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands. Vitti's time with the Argentina youth programs he was considered to be one of Argentina's top prospects on the same level as Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero his fellow teammates on the winning U-20 team."
lol i just signed him in my second season of my Ross County Save, in the SPL and he is the clubs record signing of a huge 80k !!

Fillipo Maniero in CM99 at venezia was a player i would sign if i was a biggish team who couldnt signed a top top star, he would score a barrel load but his career didnt really take off IRL.

yeah he was at portsmouth but in every edition of FM he never seemed to have aged. always start off at like 17/18 years old for like 4 editions.

Mashaga Bakenga at Rosenborg is a great 55k buy and i bet he wont make it IRL...seems to fit the criteria. Young, Cheap to buy and scores for fun. also Fierro maybe?

i think the point the fella is making about 84 Cap and playing for Lyon is that its harsh to include him in the list of players that never made it IRL. i mean it wasnt long ago that Lyon were knocking Real Madrid out of the champions league at quarter finals. still a good team which would outplay pretty much anyone outside the top 4 / 5 prem teams.

Martin Palermo was awesome back in 01/02 i think it was, but he just didnt cut it outside Argentina. i will always remember the time he missed 3 penalties in one match for Argentina!

Viktor Leonenko in early CM was always worth buying, had a decent career in eastern europe but didnt go on to anything much, suppose Rebrov and Shechenko being ahead of him for Kiev and ukraine didnt help matters.
