If you check your Staff Responsibilities pages can you check to see if the below responsibility is assigned away from you. If it is then assign it back to yourself and see if that resolves the problem. 

This is a workaround which has helped some users. We are working on a full fix for release.

it did not work for me....what can I do? I fear I'm going to corrupt my save by continuously forcing the list with fmrte editor. Thanks for helping

[Champions league registration bug]

I have the same issue. Made it work using fmrte editor, bug also in the second season there is no way for me to register my squad normally.
