  1. The Match engine will be The same both for Men and women, right ? Because in my opinion it doesnt make sense. I dont watch womens football but the few matches I watched, it became clear to me the differences, especially physically wise. Women battle way less physically on the pitch in comparison to Men, and FM for years have been about physicals. I will wait, but will be very disappointed if the ME is the same for women
  2. White is just an example of normal colours. It can be black, grey... Option for dark and light mode would be the way to go, as mentioned above. The challenge is to create an immersive UI while keeping it simple. Since it is impossible to please everyone with a skin, in my opinion they should opt for more standardized colours, and let people customize them as they like. I understand people who like it, but all this purple, blue to me feels like I'm playing a Tron Game instead of a point and click football simulator.
  3. My problem with it all is the colours. Why can't they put normal colors ? I mean, all this purple, weird kind of blue... I doubt people like it. I know skinners can change it rapidly, but I really do miss the simplicity of old FMs, with normal colours like white, black, etc.. instead of all this purple, weird blue..
  4. De Zerbi hasn't won anything worth mentioning in his carreer and is always linked to big clubs, in FM that's not the case. I took St Pauli in FM23, got promoted and spent 8 seasons in the bundesliga, didn't win it but won the german cup and was always sitting between 7th~3rd in the league. I got only one job offer, to manage Monchengladbach that was sitting below us but has more reputation. I decided to resign and got a job managing Swansea in the premier league, fighting against relegation. Meanwhile, in real life, managers like klopp and thomas tuchel went on to manage Borussia without winning anything at Mainz, just by doing a good job. That has been the case for a few versions I suppose, the game simply can't see past the reputation to make decisions on which managers to offer jobs, which players to sign, etc...
  5. Because the game is made for humans, and people have to succeed at it to have the dopamine boost that makes them feel buying the game was worth their money and, hence, keep buying. In the end it is just a game and most people would not buy it if they faced an AI that is equal or stronger than them. Very few people (I include myself in this group), would buy the game if it is as hard as it can be.
  6. Bundesliga is my pick as the best league I've played in FM. Great to develop young players, great rules, 34 matches, Challenging teams, players with balanced attributes... Brazil is crap, unfortunately it is too easy to get rich and SI can't simulate the mess that Brazilian football is about. Italian Calcio is great as well, it is getting to be a strong league as it was in the past, with clubs not being overpowered by Juve.
  7. Indeed. Seems like the AI decision making based on reputation issue. Arsenal = Bigger club, higher reputation. So "I'm leaving", ignoring completely the context (few days away from the most important match in the season). The reason this happens is basically the reason behind all the weird decision making by the AI. And to be honest, I don't this will be fixed or improved. I suppose many variables would have to be added so the AI starts understanding context before just deciding something based on reputation.
  8. I'm Brazilian and that happens often in Brazil. John Textor's Botafogo finished last season after their 4th manager in a year. And leaving Leipzig to Arsenal, to me, is pretty reasonable.
  9. I don't think it is limited, it is just different. " not wanting to spend your time actually watch players in games like a real international manager would" - That is actually interesting for me, and I'm sure some will find it interesting as well. When managing clubs, I tend to watch some matches of players I'm willing to sign, for example. Your suggestion on the second paragraph is interesting. International management can be very exciting. Let me just tell something that just happened: In a 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐲 move, Marcelo Bielsa will call up an 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐔𝐑 footballer to his Uruguay squad to face Costa Rica in a friendly. Walter Domínguez has scored 57 goals in 39 games for amateur side Juventud de Soriano. Yes, Bielsa did that! That's why I say international management can be fullfiling, because it is different, but SI doesn't spend much resource on improving it.
  10. It's mind boggling that international management has been left aside when it comes to priorities by SI. I've been playing FM since FM06 and never seen any improvement in this area. They add on face paint but managing a national team is still as boring as it's ever been.
  11. That's probably the balance SI should strive to achieve. Like some said, FM is hard to learn but easy to master. It's too hard for newcomers, but too easy for veterans. I hope they find some balance in the near future. I suppose SI can start by streamlining some features and reducing significantly the amount of information that newcomers have to deal with. That can be done also by improving massively the UI, that right now feels a bit messy. The tactic creator has to be overhauled, and the default skin should be more clean. In my opinion, FM08 has the best skin of all time, balancing the right amount of information with buttons on the screen that take you wherever you want in the game easily. Right now you have to click a lot of buttons to just find the prefered foot of the player, because it's hidden too much.. Reducing the overwhelming amount of interactions would do also in my opinion, it would save learning time for newcomers and also spare veterans who know exactly what they have to click. Less is more in this aspect. And then, improve AI decision making when squad building and developing youngsters would make it harder for veterans to overachieve. FM07's AI squad building is fantastic, and should be taken as a role model for future FM's. My experience, I used to underachieve more in past FM's but I feel the game is getting easier and easier. Maybe I became better, I don't know - but seems like a common theme for experienced players these days.
  12. Taking this into consideration, does anyone know how to change this in the editor to make AI develop youngsters more ? That's one of the things that have been preventing me from playing my save, but I would easily play it if I can change this AI pattern in the editor. Maybe limit their scouting capability ? If, say, Ajax can't scout many players, will they rely on the academy more ?
  13. Actually it does differentiate, as reputation is one of the, if no the, most important criteria to decision making by the AI. But it seems now many other factors are being taken into the calculation and some sort of compensation (more weight to physical condition ? morale?) made by developers is hindering logical decisions by the AI. I'm not sure of this, but FM has a history of AI lining up players just because of their reputation so it doesn't make sense that a third GK would be prefered over the main one in an important competition if not for some type of compensation. I've seen many weird decisions in this version that made me drop the game this year. Ported a FM23 save as St Pauli to FM24, my first game against Bayern I saw Marcos Leonardo playing as a CM and Wirtz as a winger. They didn't create any goal scoring chance worth noticing against me, which frustrated me a lot. And I saw many other weird lineups, even Juventus being relegated in my Sampdoria save.
  14. Basically what has been done for years when it comes to solving problems in FM. Can't solve a problem for good ? Then you solve it by creating another one that will be solved by creating another one and so on and so forth.
  15. Considering they spent more than 500M in transfers to find themselves conceding 5 against Arsenal, I think there's something off with real life squad building as well.
