  1. Nice write up so far. Really enjoy this kind of strategy in FM. I like the use of the tactics board too, nice way to visualise a system and how it matches up. Where did you get those from? Interested to see how you implement a mid-block counter-attacking style, particularly to a 4-2-3-1.
  2. I've used a combination of roles for this system, but it depends on the personal available and how they interact with the wide players. For example, if I wanted use Foden in an attacking role, then I use a Mez (A) on the same side a Winger (S), so that it encourages Foden to underlap into the space beyond the Winger. Works vice-verca too. As mentioned by others, some roles seem to get in the way of the IWB (S) and DM (which I prefer on Defend duty). The roles I've used were: Physical players: CM (A) and BBM (S) Technical players: Mez (S), RPM (S), AP (A), CM (A), Mez (A),
  3. Just a Logopack, which I've used since the start
  4. Hello all, Keep receiving the following error message on my FM22 save, once it crashes. Always happens once I start my team talk for my next match against Tarragona. I'm about 15 years into my save. I've tried re-loading the save the multiple times, but keeps happening. Assuming nothing that I can do?
  5. @Nima2708 There's way too much going with what you've posted. The most consistent tactics on FM have minimal instructions. You've also contradicting yourself by saying that you want to sit deep, yet you're using a 'higher defensive line' on a balanced mentality... I'd also ignore the previous comment. When it comes to FM, Mourinho definitely used 'attack' roles. ++ I would employ the below system as starting block, adding 'sit narrower' & 'dribble more' to Eto'o role as Wide Midfielder, to try and encourage space for Maicon. That's the only PI I'd use as starting block. Cambiasso's role was key, as he constantly looked to shift the ball forward quickly in the transition. I would be cautious using an Advanced Playmaker for Sneijder role, as I don't think having two playmakers would be beneficial and I also find the Attacking Midfielder much more rounded anyway.
  6. Hi Guys, Having issues with FM22 where there playing time is being properly reflected - is it a known issue or just takes time to take effect? My player feels he's playing time is 'surplus to requirements', when Ive been to using him as a 'squad player'. Causing me issues as he know wants to leave, but he's from my academy and is my long term plans....
  7. There will be a massive gap between their front four attackers and the rest of their team. So from an offensive point of view, you'll likely be able to control the middle third of the pitch. However, as they have two DMCs, they'll restrict space just infront of their defence. So if your system is set-up to exploit this space, then you'll likely struggle. I'd try to secure the middle numerically and then attack down the flanks. Likely that their wide forwards will not track back with any regularity. What's the system your using?
  8. This is what I've tried using either a FB (D) or IWB (D). It kind of creates it, but unfortunately the back three don't spread evenly and you have this lopsided shape. Ultimately you're too exposed on the left flank... Hope this is something we can create in future FMs, as it's a really fun way to create an interesting attacking shape.
  9. Has anyone seen this promise before and how to actually keep it? He wanted to join Chelsea and didnt let him. He then kicked off and was unhappy/complaining. I then tried to offer him out at £200m+ to see if I could maybe cash in. He obviously annoyed by my treatment. Had a team meeting and agreed to promise the squad to improve my man management skills Not sure what I need to do though?
