  1. Yeah them along with Progres, Differdange, and Dudelange are the bigger clubs in the league in real life. Now we've won the league a few times, it won't stop unless we have an injury crisis/a huge run of poor form/another team gets a tycoon takeover.
  2. I didn't even notice that. They were relegated the season before to the National de Honour, so bounced back quickly but I'm not sure why they were predicted favourites. They spent £10k on players and most of them weren't any good. They finished 8th last season and are predicted to finish in 2nd place.
  3. October 2028 Some big wins this month. 6-0 against Kaerjeng, 3-0 against Titus and 5-0 against Canach in the league then 5-1 and 6-1 in the cup but the standout result of the month is the 2-2 draw against Napoli in the UEL. We had just three shots on goal and scored both that were on target, Napoli had 23 shots with 12 on target and created 3.49xG. A five-point gap after just over a third of the season gone.
  4. September 2028 We loved scoring two goals this month. Absolute domination against Fola Esch only for centre-back Ablordy to score both goals. We traveled to Azerbaijan to face Qarabag, 2-1 up until the 93rd minute. A Veselcic masterclass saw us defeat Jeunesse Esch with his two goals. In our second UEL league phase game, we traveled to Hungary and picked up a win thanks to backup striker Carvalho and midfielder Fayad. We ended the month with a poor performance but win against Hostert, Sangare with the double. Top of the league.
  5. September 2028 Six new players joined the club for the 2028/29 season. Ruben Antunes Carvalho - Luxembourgish backup striker Aiman Dardari - left German club Mainz at the end of his contract, joins as cover for both MC and AMC. Alexandre Sacras - signed from Progres for £50k to be first choice LB. Fabio Lohei - another left back who left Metz in the summer. William Campos - a £65k signing from Italian side Novara, injured on debut for seven weeks. Thomas-Le Desurmont - another to join from Mainz, this time for £50k, will play in CM. All of them are Luxembourg natives, we have just seven players not from our home nation. One player will join in January, Christian Camara will join from Senegalese academy side CNEPS.
  6. August 2028 What a crazy month. We traveled to Slovakia to face Dun. Streda and came away with a 3-2 win, we were 3-0 up but allowed them back into it. A lowkey 1-0 win in the league followed before the return fixture in the UCL, we managed a 1-1 draw to advance to the next round. We were drawn against Rangers and for some reason played the game on the Saturday of the same week, we were duly hammered. A few days later we faced Dudelange in the league and I think the lads got their frustration out on them. 10-2 winners with Sangare (x2), Dardari (x3), Veselcic (x3), Fayed and Benslaiman with the goals. A few days later we lost 4-3 at home to Racing FC, 2-0 up to 4-2 down. Again a few days later we faced Rangers at home in the Play-Offs return leg, I didn't expect anything but somehow we managed to win the game 2-1. We ended the month with a 5-5 draw away at Una Strassen. Eight games played, 25 goals scored and 19 goals conceded. Value for money. 3rd after five games is good considering the month we've just had. Huge rewards for reaching the playoffs and then dropping into the UEL League stage. A tough set of fixtures, we'll target the Qarabag, Ferencvaros and Omonoia games for some possible points.
  7. July 2028 A brilliant July, we dump both Sheriff Tiraspol and Astana out of the Champions League with relative ease. We face Slovakian side Dunajska Streda in the 3rd Qualifying Round. We also open the domestic league season with a convincing 3-0 win over Swift Hesperange. We restricted them to just two shots on goal which happened to be on target also, We created four clear-cut chances with 1.99xG. A good start.
  8. June 2028 With no warning, we've turned professional.
  9. 2027/28 Season Review We've been in really good form towards the end of the season, we pick up another three wins this month and... League - Predicted 2nd | Finished 1st A dominant season as seen in the season statistics here. We scored 85 goals and conceded just 22, finishing the season with a plus 63 goal difference. Luxembourg Cup - Winners May also saw the culmination of the Luxembourg Cup, we beat Yellow Boys, Hostert, Colmar-Berg, Wiltz, Una Strassen and ultimately Progres in the final. We did need extra time to win the game however, we look set to win the tie in normal time but Progres struck a late equaliser. The winning goals came through unlikely sources of Meddour (back up CB) and Klisurica (rotation CM). Champions League - We beat Maltese side Hamrun before being beaten by Serbian side Crvena zvezda. We dropped down into UEL Qualifying. Europa League - We beat RFS of Latvia and Pyunik of Armenia to reach the league stage. We picked up four points in our eight games, drawing with Samsunspor from Turkey and beating Hungarian side Ferencvaros. Top Scorer - Sangare (28) - a much better season from Mahamadou as he notches 28 goals as the lone striker. Although he wants to leave for a bigger club, I've promised to consider any offers that come in for him. Most Assists - Fayad (20) - a big season in the heart of midfield for Khalil, just five goals scored but four times as many assists for the French-Moroccan midfielder. Average Rating - Mohamed Benslaiman (7.65) - National Division player of the season for his 17 goals and seven assists in the league but he made 40 goal contributions across all competitions.
  10. April 2028 A busy month. A first half hattrick from Benslaiman again, his third this season I think, against Differdange won us the points. We had the chance to increase our points advantage over Mondorf but we found ourselves 2-0 down but we managed to come back for a share of the points, again thanks to a double from Benslaiman. Mohamed scored twice more against Colmar-Berg in the cup. Goal eight of the month for Benslaiman followed a rare goal and start for van der Ham against Dudelange. A comfortable 3-0 win over Swift with another goal from that man Mohamed. We then faced Wiltz in the cup and then in the league and beat them both times. We're now seven points clear at the top.
  11. March 2028 Three games this month and three more wins. Another two goals for Sangare in the 4-1 win over Titus Petange. Rayan Berberi has deputised well in Veselcic's absence through injury, he scored twice to help us beat Jeunesse Canach. A comfortable 2-0 win over Mondercange as we welcomed back Veselcic after a five-week layoff. Still just four points clear of Mondorf.
  12. February 2028 We returned to league action and were in really good form in February. Racing FC humbled on their own patch, we scored five of our seven shots on target but only amassing 2.1xG. A week later Progres visited Estadio do Cents and we defeated them with relative ease in front of 924 spectators. The game was all but over in the first half thanks to Sangare, Benslaiman and Veselcic. We smashed Rosport, 19 shots, nine on target, six goals scored but just 1.89xG. Sangare notched twice more as we beat Jeunesse Esch to make it a clean sweep for the month. Four points clear on new challengers Mondord.
  13. December 2027 & January 2028 A comfortable win over Una Strassen in the league was followed by a 2-0 loss to Bologna, they were 5th in the league so we didn't expect anything there. Into January and we come back from the winter break against Monaco, a big defeat to the French side in front of a pretty poor attendance. A week later we faced the Hungarian side Ferencvaros, one of the very few sides below us in the table. Looking at their squad they had plenty of good players but we came away from the national stadium with a comfortable 2-0 win thanks to goals from the shadow strikers. Top by a point in the domestic league and third from bottom in the UEL.
  14. Thank you @Mr Jabay!! I've tried Luxembourg on previous editions and never settled into a save but have done so remarkably well here. Let's hope the future intakes improve for me then.
  15. November 2027 This looks like a poor month on paper. The standard two goals conceded in the UEL this time to Greek side PAOK. That loss fed into the league too as we were defeated by Wiltz. We returned to winning ways against Schifflange, with three attacking midfielders scoring the goals. We gained our first point in the UEL after five games, drawing 0-0 with Turkish side Samsunspor. We then struggled to a 1-1 draw against lowly Fola Esch in the league. A single point ahead of Jeunesse Esch.
  16. October 2027 A big win over Mondorf (which was in the table for last month). We rotated heavily for the cup game against Yellow Boys to only come away with a 1-0 win. Another hattrick from Benslaiman rewarded us with another three points against Dudelange. Full strength for Marseille but a 2-0 loss, we didn't have a shot on target for the new capacity record crowd. Some rotation for the Swift game, we were 4-2 down and needed a 90th minute equaliser. Full strength for the cup game against Hostert, a second first half hattrick of the month this time from Sangare to see us advance. Three points clear of 2nd place.
  17. September 2027 Thankfully a quieter month. A drab affair against Jeunesse Canach opened the month, just one goal was needed for the three points. Another record crowd witnessed a 2-0 loss to Genk from across the border. We regrouped against Mondercange, a beat them 4-0, wantaway Muratovic netting a first half hattrick. A decent performance against Vitoria Guimaraes but ultimately another loss in the UEL. A couple of days later we rotated the team and left it late to beat Differdange. (includes a game from October) Una Strassen kind of coming out of nowhere. Nine points clear of Progres already.
  18. September 2027 Just one more player arrives, Jordan Barbalinardo joins for £100k from German side Mainz. He will be rotating with our other right back McIntyre.
  19. August 2027 A really busy month with eight games. Latvian side RFS in the UEL 3rd Qualifying Round up first and had a strong performance, the tie practically over in before half time. We rested and played a pretty much full-strength side against Racing FC, we needed to win to keep pace with the top few teams who were winning and didn't have European games to play. We rotated for the return leg against RFS, we suffered a defeat but we advanced. Back to full strength against Rosport for another league win before we played Armenian side Pyunik in the UEL Play-Off. Two goals from forward Sangare and one from Benslaiman saw us win the first leg 3-1. We struggled against Jeunesse Esch, fitness was becoming an issue for both the first-choice XI and second string. We needed an own goal to pick up the three points but we didn't deserve them. We traveled to Armenia for the return leg knowing we needed to not lose to reach the league stage of the Europa League. A couple of days later we faced Titus Petange with a rotated side and we suffered our first loss of the domestic season, Titus only had two shots on target, scoring both whereas we only had three on target despite having 17 attempts. 2nd behind Differdange. Some tough fixtures in here including the two French sides.
  20. July 2027 In an easy tie against Maltese side Hamrun in the UCL, new signing Benslaiman netted a hattrick in the first leg and Veselcic netted four in the second leg. Serbian side Crvena zvezda up next, a much tougher tie. We managed a 1-1 draw in front of a new record crowd and lost 2-0 away from home, I'm happy with that performance. We opened the domestic season up against Progres. We dominated the club that we pipped to the title last season, restricting them to just three shots with none of those on target. We took our one clear-cut chance and won the game 1-0 thanks to Benslaiman. Early days.
