Every year for the last 3 seasons, since Sunderland were relegated to league one, the betas been released when Sunderland were playing away. I remember as it’s a running joke that all the lads in my what’s app group have that we had to run up at half time of the stream and set it away downloading, then spent the game not actually watching and just discussing FM.
Well tonight is Crewe v Sunderland. If that’s not a sign I don’t know what it - tonight it is boys!

Any update as to when the final data update is going to be and whether it’ll definitely include the Sunderland takeover?

Anyone know if Sunderlands latest takeover is likely to go through in this additional data update or not? Debating whether to start my save now or wait for Kyril-Louis Dreyfus to take us over ingame in a week or two.

What’s so extreme about brexit? It’s 17 foreigners and 8 homegrown players - which is in line with the CL squad requirements of 8 homegrown players anyway. Any kids through your academy will more than likely take British citizenship anyway to count as one of your 8. I don’t foresee it being a major issue tbh

Yes, it was specifically the top end players that had a value decrease. There were some crazy values - Rodri for 85m despite playing 8 games the season before has fallen to 52m post-beta just by advancing a single day. That feels much more realistic IMO. I’ve checked through “lesser” players and there has been some minor variation but nothing significant

Hard to comment this early, but the player movements and animations feel a lot better. The engine seems a bit more balanced as well, not everything seems to go perfect as it did in beta.

Had a pointless glory save on the beta with Man City I was playing at 9:30 - reloaded it and there's a definite and significant decrease in player values and transfer values at the top end of the market. Some players dropped 20m or more during the reload and a single day of continue.

You can put the dummy away - they've never released a changelist and won't change now

Is there anywhere I can access the preseason odds for the CL ? I’ve got them for the Bundesliga through season preview but can’t find a similar option for the CL to view them now the tournaments started. I’ll pull a screenshot if so.

Played 15 matches of my season now, and I must say the match engine looks and feels incredible. Feels like real football. Animations are so smooth. Gameplay is so realistic. Please @Neil Brock pass on the congratulations and adulation from this thread onto the team at SI for making such a wonderful game that I’m sure will only get better with the beta feedback.

Isn’t just me then. I’ll stick it in the bugs forum, as it is starting to annoy the life out of me already. Always miss the first highlight while I mess on with sliders

Wondering if this is me not setting it correct or a bug, but it’s really annoying.
Out of the 3D pitch cameras, I prefer the TV one, which defaults to a camera height of the lowest possible. I want that a bit higher, so manually adjusted it to 25%, which works fine. However, now, every single new match I start I have to manually slide it back up from 0 to 25%. It’s kind of annoying. Is there a way to preset this that I’m missing? Previous versions always saved your camera settings exactly as is, this one keeps the camera but defaults the height.

Hopefully this is in the right place. Started a Leipzig game and the German reputations seem poorly set, or something. I’m 400-1 to win the CL, Bayern are 50-1, Dortmund 150-1 and BMG 1000-1. I’ve tried signing players and lost a player to QPR.

I wonder if there is something wrong with German football. I started as Leipzig, last years semi finalists, and I was 400-1 to win the CL. Seems more than a bit long to me.

Going to be a massive challenge from FM23 onwards I suspect, getting to the top quick enough to deny Newcastle, but should be achievable this year
