  1. There is a really good thread about how to set up a realistic save on the general forum. It's always a trade off between speed and realism/size, but generally (for euro) good to have top 5 playable, several view only and neighbouring countries of the league you're in as playable. Happy to share my approach and rationale if that would help you? Its not particularly clever, i basically just use uefa rankings and size of transfers for different nations (weighted) to decide what to pick.
  2. Yep, I stuck pretty rigidly to an asymmetric 442/433 on fm22.
  3. I load lots but you don't need to for this type of save. The main reasons I do is because non-playable teams wont rehire staff (so when a manager is sacked they will remain managerless) and adding playable leagues makes transfer flows more realistic, which is a must for me for the nation I'm in. Transfer preferences can be seen on transfermarkt.com
  4. That's cool and I too have shamelessly stolen @Braumiller's idea. Mine doesn't look that good at the moment but I will try to tidy it up before my next update.
  5. San Marino and Gibraltar will be my first saves. Prob on fm22 if that's ok?
  6. Would this make League of Ireland eligible too? I love a good LoI save.
  7. Absolutely love the summary graphic at the top of your post. I'll be nicking that
  8. Cardiff Corinthians - Season 14 (2035/36) Review - FM22 Competitions Premier League - Winners Welsh Cup - Winners League Cup - Quarter Final Europa League - Group Stage Players - This is how we lined up this season The Fans PotY award went to our AMR Rob Daley (28a) this season. The Young PotY award went to our ML Matthew Barlow (34a) this season. Youth Intake - We were told to expect another 4star excellent intake and thankfully we had a couple of quite decent players come through. The intake was not a good as the previous couple of intakes and personalities for the top players were not great. Facilities and Youth Spend - We had no improvements in our facilities this season but were able to request an upgrade in our training facilities, which should come through next season. 9. Sounds like we need a hall of shame too. I once managed to get sacked after half a season in Norway, so I might have top spot!
  10. You holiday the first season and take over as one of the teams promoted from the lowest (non-playable) division into the lowest playable division. If I remember correctly that means one of the teams from the fourth tier that are promoted into the third tier.
  11. Cardiff Corinthians - Season 13 (2034/35) Review - FM22 I probably wont be moving to FM23 soon so will keep my Welsh journey going for a little longer. This was another great season where we again managed to beat TNS to the league title and also managed to pick up our second Welsh Cup win. TNS have now failed to qualify for the group stage of a European competition since the 2029/30 season and operation stave-TNS-of-money is going pretty well, though they are still professional. This season saw us manage our highest ever average league attendance and we had the 5th highest attendance in the league. Attendances as whole don't seem to be going up much in the league despite the improvements in the leagues reputation (up from 72nd to 67th in the last 12 months). Cardiff Corries are now the highest reputation team in the Welsh league, moving ahead of TNS to 2.0 star (Regional). Competitions Premier League - 1st Welsh Cup - Winner League Cup 3rd Round Europa League - Group Stage Players - This is how we lined up this season The Fans PotY and Young PoyY award went to our 20yr old midfielder (and occasional striker) Graham Byron 31d. Youth Intake We were told to accept a 4star Excellent intake. When the intake arrived it was described as a 5star potential Golden Generation. Facilities and Youth Spend We managed to negotiate improvements to both our youth and training facilities. Player Records SUMMARY
  12. @LeoFMgood work fella. This is the kind of feedback I'm sure any developer hopes to receive during a beta test play. The mentals Vs physicals Vs technicals makes for very interesting reading
  13. Cardiff Corinthians - Season 12 (2033/34) Review Another excellent league campaign but we were unable to defend either of the cups we won last season. We qualified for the group stage of the Europa Conference League again and that brought in some more much needed money. The attendances in the league (including our) remain very low and no team has got close to an average attendance of 1000 yet. The league reputation has increased again this year so hopefully in time we will start to see a bit of an increase in attendance and match day income. We lost our start player at the start of the season. Jay Lennie 30a clearly didn't want to stick around and was annoying the rest of the team so we allowed him to join Serie A side Torino. Unfortunately he made just 1 sub appearance all season and, given that he is now 20yrs old, I don't think there is much chance we will profit from the 50% next sale clause we negotiated. Competitions Premier League - 1st Welsh Cup - 4th Round League Cup - 2nd Round Europa Conference League - Group Stage Players - This is how we lined up this season The Fans Player of the Season went to Graham Byron 31d, while Young Player of the Season went to our new senior international for Northern Ireland, Lee Bolger 32d. Youth Intake We received a poor 4star preview, albeit with lots of A ratings (not really sure how it works tbh). thankfully the intake was fantastic, particularly our new left midfielder who is easily the best player we have ever had. he is a real one-off and not something we are going to get used to, but hopefully we can mend his broken personality and convince him to stay a few years. Facilities and Youth Spend No improvements yet but we were able to request an improvement to training facilities at the end of the season Player Records SUMMARY
  14. We have our first senior international. Mr & Mrs 32d will be very proud
  15. If they load into fm22 then they will be fine in fm23. It's amazing. You can import club details, like logo and colours for kits, directly from Wikipedia. You they hit generate and you get 2d and 3d kits. There is a little more to it than that but the videos explain how to do everything. It is probably far less customisable than what you're using but is easy to use and very quick. It does use standard templates for different brands, so there are a selection of Adidas templates and Nike, for example.
  16. I'll take a quick look later this week. I have considered using Kit Creator. Are th 2d kits in the default Standard style? I have used Kitbasher for a while but fancy trying something new.
  17. I found that my B team were stuck in non playable lower leagues (third tier) throughout my save (20+ years) despite us becoming the biggest team in the nation. Most other top division clubs had B teams in the second tier, but as ours started with a terrible reputation their chance of promotion was close to 0%. I think this is a good solution. On my next save I used the editor to unlock the lower league to make the save a bit more immersive. If you just want to make the new division playable then you can do this using Basic settings (rather than Advanced) so don't need to rebuild, and potentially break, the existing leagues and cups.
  18. Rather than find my own words, I thought I would use those of the board as they have followed me through all of my saves
  19. Cardiff Corinthians - Season 11 (2032/33) Review Our best season yet. Refusing to let our top player leave has meant we have been able to compete with TNS again, and this season we did a league and cup treble. To cap it off we even managed to qualify for the group stage of a European competition again so made plenty of money. Winning the league will remain our priority, followed by making the group stage of a European competition, for the foreseeable. This should starve TNS of the European money they need to maintain a full-time squad and, in time, should mean we can start to focus a bit more on getting results in Europe. We are apparently now the highest reputation club in the league: and the Welsh Premier League has recently shot up the reputation rankings (we're now in a 2 star league and ranked 81st, having started 104th in our first season in the league): Slightly less impressive, but our league attendances are creeping upwards and we my be in the top half in a few seasons. Attendances for the best supported clubs don't seem to have gone up much, despite the increase in the league reputation. Competitions Premier League - 1st Welsh Cup - Winner League Cup - Winner Europa Conference League - Group Stage Players - This is how we lined up this season Fans PotY went to our left mid, Jay Lennie 30a. We are starting to receive offers from ENG Championship and SCOT Premiership clubs, along with an offer from a club in the Bundesliga. I activated his contract extension and am hoping to get another couple of seasons out of him before letting him go (assuming I don't p**s him off by breaking too many promises). Youth Intake We were told to expect a 5star golden generation and while the intake wasn't great, it was ok and was given a 5star rating. Facilities and Youth Spend We spent the money we earned from qualifying for the group stage of the Europa Conference League almost as soon as it arrived. Affiliates Will still have the same three Welsh affiliates. Bangor 1876 finished 4th in the Cymru North, Undy were 2nd in the Cymru South, and Carmarthen Town were 10th in the Ardal SW Player Records SUMMARY WALES National Team Wales qualified for Euro 32 and made it out of their group, ahead of Norway and Ireland. They lost to Turkey in the second round.
  20. Manual: in-game tooltip: I can't imagine the second description is correct (my old man would have called this 'doing a Gazza'... he wasn't a fan!) but I saw a youtube vid with several thousand view where the chap was saying the trait was useless as the player would literally double back to take the same player on again. Can someone in the know confirm what's going on here?
  21. @FrazTI've made my board "devastated" too. Most recently when we didn't score enough goals from set pieces. You'd think us sitting top of the league would soften the blow, but nope, DEVASTATED lol
  22. The last few YAC threads have been open to older versions so you should be able to continue your journey on the new one. I'm planning on doing the same tbh.
  23. Cardiff Corinthians - Season 10 (2031/32) Review This was a fantastic season that saw us win our second league title in three seasons and also reach the final of the Welsh cup for the first time. We were knocked out of the league cup at the Quarter Final stage and only made it to the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League. Our league form was the standout thing this season. we lost just once in the league, 1-2 away to Bala Town, and were therefore unbeaten against TNS in the league for the first time. our points total (79) was lower than both of the previous two seasons (80 and 82), but thankfully TNS were just not able to match their recent league form as they managed their lowest points haul for seven seasons (67). TNS did manage to beat us in the cup final unfortunately, but as this was our first time making it to the cup final I was happy just to have reached the final. Hopefully we can add this cup to our collection one day. I think I remember reading that the Welsh cup is held in very high regard and the winners were historically considered the Welsh champions (I cant find the source now - so may have dreamt it!). That may not be the case anymore, and it doesn't provide UCL qualification, but I am going to treat the competition seriously going forward as I do want to get our name on the cup. We spent all of the money we earned from our Europa League run last season on Training and Youth Facility upgrades and have slipped from approx. £4,000,000 to -£330,000. This is worrying but I am hoping we might be able to sneak into the Europa League or Conference League group stage next season and bring in some much needed income. Going professional and investing heavily in our facilities and youth should hopefully mean better intake in future and the possibility that we might actually be able to develop one or two a little. Competitions Premier League - 1st (qualified for European Champions League qualification round) Welsh Cup - Runner-up (lost to TNS on penalties in the final League Cup - Quarter Final Europa Conference League - 2nd Qualifying Round Players - This is how we lined up this season Fans PotY and Young PotY went to Robbie Gordon again. Youth Intake An excellent preview (described as a potential golden generation, 5 star) did not disappoint. we signed about 7 of the intake with one in particular looking very promising. Facilities and Youth Spend We managed to spend last seasons Europa League money on improvements to our training and youth facilities. We also had an increase to our youth recruitment. Affiliates We still have three Welsh affiliates. Bangor 1876 finished 2nd in the Cymru North, Undy were 2nd in the Cymru South and Carmarthen Town were 4th in the Ardal SW. Player Records SUMMARY WALES National Team An amazing campaign for Wales (51st in world ranking) saw them finish second in their Euro 2032 qualification group, ahead of both Slovakia (66th) and N.Ireland (68th).
  24. The board changed last season and they required me to develop the best youth system in the country. I am in Wales (Cardiff Corinthians in the Cymru Premier), but would assume the club vision applies to teams in the Welsh League system rather than Wales (i.e. doesnt include Cardiff City, Swansea etc.) I was told there were very disappointed I failed to meet the objective despite having the best facility, youth recruitment and junior coaching in the Welsh leagues. Bizarrely, the inbox message and the tooltip message are seemingly in conflict. our facilities etc. vs. best rivals
