  1. Deportes Valdivia - Season 2025 Review (s3) This was a fantastic season where we followed up our second place finish last season with a win this season. We lost in the second round of the cup and finished bottom of our cop Lib group. I did prioritise the league, so this wasn't unexpected and definitely helped us get a little edge over Colo-Colo. Our form crashed at the end of the season, so I am really hoping we don't take that into next season. Main points Won first ever league title Finished bottom of our Copa Libertadores group Good intake Plenty of improvements in facilities and youth spend, thanks to continental football money Had 100 game in management during season We are looking for a site for a new 9928 seater stadium Competitions Youth Intake Players SUMMARY - Deportes Valdivia SUMMARY - Chile and South America
  2. I've had about 14 players at the start of a save but I never play in England, I had this in Andorra, Iceland and Wales (poss others). I imagine it's really tough with such a small squad in England, given it's so much more competitive than the nation's I've played in. I guess you just need to go easy on training in the hope of minimising injuries until that intake comes along, and play to the FM gods
  3. Deportes Valdivia - Season 2024 Review (s2) This was an incredible first season in the top flight. We were actually top of the league for most of the season, but slipped behind the nations biggest club (Colo-Colo) at the end of the season. This is the third season the club has played in the top flight (after back to back seasons in 1988 (10th place) and 1989 (16th place, bottom). We also made it to the cup semi-final, matching the clubs best performance (matching 1989) We definitely benefitted from not being in any continental competitions when it came to our performances in the league. We will be playing continental football next season, which will no doubt impact on our league form, so we will need to choose where to prioritise. Finished 2nd in league and qualified for the Copa Libertadores Semi-finalist in cup Good youth intake with seven rated as elite (in the scholars announced inbox message) Junior coaching improved to Excellent Bastian Fuenzalida appointed as new president (chairman). 4. I never change clubs during a save and the longest save I have had, by a big margin, was 37 seasons. Took me 8 months to get that far
  5. Congrats @grff 👏 Let's be honest though, there's no dilemma really. You're one of us!
  6. Deportes Valdivia - Season 2023 Review (s1) First season back in FM after leaving behind my long (for me) save in Wales. I have chosen my favourite player from that save as my manager alter ego in my new save in Chile. I have chosen Club de Deportes Valdivia. They are a professional team based on the city of Valdivia (approximately 700 km south of Santiago), which appears to be most famous for being the closest city to the most powerful earthquake ever recorded. The club was founded in in 1983 and have played in the Chilean top flight before and once qualified for the Chilean cup semi-final. Our first season was excellent. We made it to the third round of the cup and won the second division, so will be playing the in top flight next season. I'm not convinced our squad will be strong enough to do much, especially as many of our regular starters this season are the wrong side of 30, but I am hoping we will be able do enough to survive. 7. The attributes max at 20, so by multiplying by 5 he will increase the max in the spreadsheet to 100
  8. Just to confirm. If the rules around custom dB haven't changed then you can still do a save in Peru with the custom dB you've found, you'd just need to go for the bottom placed third tier team after holidaying the first season. Chasing the virtual sun. Sounds like you need a holiday mate 😉
  9. For custom dB, I think you would need to manage the team that finishes bottom of the bottom division in that scenario. That's how it used to work.
  10. @BustaRaymesgood luck in Peru. It will certainly offer the hot weather you're after
  11. I remember XaW had an issue with contacts in Denmark a while back. Not sure if it's anything serious for youth saves, but think it put me off back when I was considering it.
  12. Right, I've decided I need to leave Europe for the first time and South America seems like the obvious choice. Just need to find a nation that has less then 100 games per season!
  13. This famously happened with real Madrid a few years back but I think rules changed after that.
  14. I like the around the world bit. I used to do this too and found I was much more immersed in the save. I'll be doing this on my next save
  15. I think I had that on my Cardiff Corries save a while back and it seemed to be because I wasn't giving the youngsters much game time. So despite the fact that my whole team was developed through the youth system, it only seemed to be focusing on those that were 'young'. I could be mistaken, I'll fire up an old save to see if I can find it happening to me too.
  16. Seems like you're getting lots of answers to a different question. I don't know the answer, but as each club has a location (you can see this one the first page for each club in the editor), I would have said it would be the attractiveness of that place that would be used in game, rather than the location of either the stadium or training centre. When managing inter Bratislava we moved to a new stadium and I did notice that we moved back to Bratislava. We started in a stadium just outside of Bratislava, but we're based in Bratislava (ie location of club according to first screen in editor). It felt like the game recognised Bratislava as our home. Purely anecdotal but thought I'd share.
  17. Just doing some testing and checking before probably starting a new save and stumbled across this Norwegian stud!
  18. 8 months in Wales and feeling like we're going nowhere so thinking of jumping on into Ukraine. I'm a bit late to the party in Ukraine, but am I right in thinking the game plays normally in Ukraine in FM22? Is there anything I need to be aware of? Cheers.
  19. Cardiff Corinthians - Season 2057/58 Review (s36) - Invincible season Main things of note: We finished third in our Champions League group, so far better than the six defeats we suffered in our group last season We made it through to the second knockout round of the Europa League, losing 3:6 to Lyon on aggregate We did the Welsh Cup and League double We managed an invincible season again this season. There were a few shaky games, particularly against Colwyn Bay and Cardiff Met Curtis Mitchell-North 48b (70, 24yr RB) was voted Fans PotY for the first time Tom Broad 53c (80, 20yr DM), my wonderkid midfielder, has now amassed 17 u21 caps for England and we're getting offers from all the top English and European clubs.
