Had a few occasions recently where a goal has been scored, sometimes by me and sometimes against me, and for some reason the game just hasn't registered that it happened. Just had a game where I was 1-0 down, equalised in the 80th min with a perfectly legal goal (Championship so no VAR check) and then had to go and answer the door, come back and I've lost the game 1-0. Is this a known issue?

I've been trying to create something that closely resembles total football. I have a great squad so player quality isn't an issue but everything I create just falls flat. It's as if the more freedom you give to the players the less effective they become. Essentially what I was hoping for was something using WCB's and our attacking players interchanging positions. I've used the player instructions screen to turn all of the front 5/6 into 'roam from position' and even use the 'swap with player' tool to switch players with others in-game. Is this all a bit much? I'm probably aiming for some sort of footballing utopia with defenders joining in attacks and all players being comfortable in any position ala Holland in the 70s but is it actually possible to achieve on FM24?

Knap, what is your best underdog tactic? I've taken over Palermo who are rock bottom of the league and heading towards the drop. Need something that can at least make us competitive. Cheers

What's your first few weeks at a club looking like? Does this change depending on when in the season you take over? I've been Botafogo manager for 4 seasons and just resigned after winning the double. Ended up being offered the job at Palermo who after 17 games sit bottom of Serie A on 11 points, 6 from safety. Luckily we're just about to enter the Jan transfer window but there's very little leeway on ins and outs unless I can get rid of a few. The squad is huge but low on quality. Staff numbers aren't great but again the money isn't really there to bring quality in. Basically I don't know where to start...the whole club is a mess from top to bottom. How do you approach joining a new club that are struggling on and off the pitch? Do you have a set formula or just judge each club on its different

Is there any way of improving the possession for this tactic? Cheers for your hard work.

Quick back story: I'm Forest manager and actually won the Premier league in 2026 with a 3412 with wide midfielders. We weren't convincing all the time, in fact we won the league on GD with 75 points which must be a record low. Anyway the tactics worked mostly well obviously and suited my squad. Then since the winter update it's been terrible. I ended up finishing the next season 8th and on the verge of being sacked. Tried everything, been as basic as possible with 442/433 etc, tried to be clever with false 9s and inverted wbs, tried 3 at the back, 4 at the back, wingers, multiple AMs and so on...nothing is working to a consistent level and its not like I don't have the players. As a rough guide to my squad I have Silva, Guehi, Rico Lewis, Livramento, Musiala, Bellingham, Mokouko, Tel, Madueke, Tchoumeni and plenty more. I try to create my own tactics but I even had to resort to plug and playing some of Knaps creations to give me a boost and nothing really came off, or it would work for a few games then tail off again. What I'm after is something that actually looks realistic to something you'd get IRL rather than a 23311 or something like it's CM 01/02 again. Ideally I want my teams to keep good possession and create chances but I'm really struggling. Anyone else had a similar experience or has any tips to rectify this? Cheers

Any good 3-4-3/3-4-1-2 tactics knap? My squad is very top heavy on CBs and I'm trying to incorporate a couple of wide CBs but I'm just so exposed down the flanks

Getting a bit frustrated with this, got Forest in the top 4 in the third season during the Jan window and I've found 4/5 promising youngsters from clubs such as Partizan, Roda, Gremio. So not exactly PSG or City and they have absolutely no interest in the move. Makes absolutely no sense.

I've got the lower league database selected and just got promoted to the Vanarama South. However my stadium is 1000 capacity which doesn't meet the requirements, so we've been moved to a nearby stadium of 5000 capacity which we will rent. That's all fine but there is no mention that this is a temporary move, and that my original ground is being developed while we move. Is this it? Have we just moved completely now? I hope not as a local club to me and I was hoping that we'd rise up the leagues and expand the ground I can see IRL from my house... Also, if this new 5000 capacity ground is our new home, is this going to be changed again once we go up to a league that requires a higher capacity?
