There were issues such as repeated names for each stage (First Round First Round), games during international breaks where players would suddenly still be available, no chance to watch draws, final at a random stadium worldwide, no European qualification & European qualifications broken across the board and more! I've tested this latest file several times by simulating many seasons multiple times and it looks like all the problems I found are now fixed. The file is linked for anyone who wants a Home Nations style cup competition, to replace the Carabao Cup with the following features: 260 teams from England (Premier League to League Two), Scotland (Premiership to League 2), Wales (Premier to Cymru North/South), Northern Ireland (Premiership to Premier Intermediate League) and Republic of Ireland (Premier Division to Munster/Leinster Leagues) First Round: Knockout.Random draw from 260 teams, single game, no extra time with A-B-B-A penalties Second Round: Same as above with 130 teams Third Round: Group phase. 65 teams into 13 groups of 5, avoid teams from the same nation where possible, play each team once, group winners and best 3 runners up qualify Fourth Round: Knockout. Same as the knockout rounds above with 16 teams Quarter Final: Same as above with 8 teams Semi Final: Same as above with 4 teams, 2 legs and straight to A-B-B-A style penalties if needed Final: One off game in a random Home Nations stadium 5 subs from 3 breaks, +1 in extra time Final hosted in a random stadium from the Home Nations with a capacity of 18,000+ (to include Windsor Park) Winner qualifies for Europa Conference League https://file.io/Ki870iNPpPDa

I've managed to get past the squad selection error by deselecting the 'Set Continental Cup' option under Teams of Stage 0. I'm now seeing the same error again, but once it's tested past the first year (2023) and appears to be in June 2024, for the second season of testing? Not sure why 2 less teams would be found for the second season. I don't know some of the UK leagues well enough to know whether any change for 2024.

Thank you so much! I'll take a look at this later and let you know how I get on with it. I did wonder if the 'avoid teams from the same nation' would cause a problem but was hoping it would avoid them where possible. Thanks again!

Hi everyone I'm trying to create a Home Nations Cup that overrides the Carabao Cup and contains all 260 teams from the following divisions: England - Premier League, Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One, Sky Bet League Two Scotland - Cinch Premiership, Cinch Championship, Cinch League 1, Cinch League 2 Wales - JD Cymru Premier, JD Cymru North, JD Cymru South Northern Ireland - Sports Direct Premiership, Playr-Fit Championship, Playr-Fit Premier Intermediate League Rep. Ireland - SSE Airtricity League Premier Division, SSE Airtricity League First Division, Beamish Stout Munster Senior League - Senior Premier Division, Leinster Senior League Senior Division I've searched many posts on this forum and others, gone other every individual setting in the Carabao Cup and Advanced Rules. Everywhere has 260 teams defined and the overall count of the teams from the divisions above equals 260. I get the above error message when testing the Advanced Rules at the point where it is running the competition. The strange thing is, if I remove one of the divisions, I get an error stating the count if wrong with the expected incorrect count. For example, removing Premier League shows 240 teams correctly. If I add back in the removed league, I then get the attached error with 261 teams instead of 260. The rankings setting look OK with what I've seen other people assigning. The only thing I'm not positive is correct is the group phase, where 13 group winners plus 3 best runners up should qualify for the next round, although I'm not sure this should affect the starting round overall count of 260? +1 The only difference for me is that I don’t get the error message pop up. Instead, the screen goes mostly black (top 5% still showing the Football Manager 2024 screen) & the screen is frozen for 20 seconds or so before the laptop restarts by itself. This is happening regularly for me & makes the game fairly unplayable at the moment. I’ve sent off many crash reports to Apple each time it’s happened. There doesn’t seem to be a certain action or page that causes the crash to occur. The only thing I’ve noticed is that it’s hasn’t happened so far during an actual match. I’m using the latest updates for the game with a 2022 MacBook Pro 16” M1 Max running the latest Sonoma 14 OS beta. If there is anything I can send over to help find the issue, please let me know.
