Has anything or any news been released about the next update? The bug with the condition hearts not updating in the match engine at the bottom keeps making me kill my players because I keep forgetting about it 🤣

21 year olds most likely are included. They typically are for U21 things. I believe England uses 1st January as the on or before date. I'm not sure which year of the season it uses though.

Yes, they do. Any signings count towards it.

Yes, you can.

It may be part of a FIFA rule actually. Not 100% sure but I know they have tried to limit the movement of youth players in recent years. That it's foreign and not specifically to do with the EU would suggest it's not specifically due to Brexit though, it would probably be a limit of non-EU players if the UK were still in the EU but the limit would likely still exist.

• Where do 'Ireland' sit in all of this? Classed as non-foreign?

Scroll down a bit on the rules page and there's a "Nations Treated As Non-Foreign section. If it's in there it's not foreign. I believe it only includes England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland though (maybe Gibraltar and the British Caribbean islands too?). So all other nations, included the Republic of Ireland would be classed as foreign.

When the league table is reset to all teams having 0pts again, that's the start of the new season and end of the last one.

- Is there a place to check the 'quota' on how many have signed already?

I believe it should tell you how many you're at if you try and make an offer for another. Haven't tested it, but that's how it works for signing non-EU players in Italy at least so I'd assume the same is true here.

[Youth Intake / Player List filters]

Afternoon

This comes off the back of an issue with being unable to scroll, on the player list/world youth intake page that won't be resolved until (hopefully) FM23, unfortunately: 

This used to be a feature previously... but can we re add the 'monthly' filter back on this page? It is now 'year' only. I've attached the page I mean and circled where the 'year' filter currently sits. Could remove the need for huge long lists, cure loading times and create a much better experience.

I think this really leads to a larger scale issue on rule clarity across the league's. Something to hopefully be enhanced in FM23.

Hi all...

I'm in 2030 on my save. Already managed in Italy, Germany, Spain, France and the Netherlands... finally moving to England. I've arrived to a rule in the Premier League:
'Teams can sign no more than six foreign Under-21 players from abroad in a season.' (see attached)

Has anyone had much experience of this rule that can help answer a few questions? There's a real lack of clarity on a lot of rules since they changed the way they're listed a few editions of the game ago. I've also asked 'FM Twitter' and done a bit of a Google search. I even looked through the Editor and purchased the real time editor, just to check!

Few questions:

• Are ‘21’ year olds included? Or is it ‘20 years old and 364 days and under’

[Additional Transfer Clauses - Ask your club to negotiate them?]

In game currently, we sometimes get a notification to say the club has negotiated paying/selling off a transfer clause early (usually at a cut price). It would be cool to be able to request the club to negotiate these.

If we've managed to get the club in a healthy financial position... it would be cool to ask to see if we could negotiate paying off clauses early, to another club. Say it's £5m per year, for 3 years... the club may come back and say they want all the £15m owed... or to pay off a single year (£5m) to get it paid off quicker... or even a negotiated price to encourage us to pay the other club (they may need the money).

If we've managed to get the club in a bad financial position... it would be cool to negotiate selling clauses at a lower price, to garner some income. The other club may see this as an opportunity of saving money in the long run etc

Could then also get requests from the other clubs as well!.

Just an idea!

Is there a way to add the star ratings (CA and PA) on the attributes panel, when receiving a scout report in my inbox? Rather than needing to click off the attributes panel, every time.

[Best Role being incorrectly highlighted]

Good afternoon. I reported this back in January:

 

This has been 'Under review' ever since and I was made aware that this is an issue that the team were looking in to. Now I'm simply being ignored. This seriously effects scouting on my save, player comparison widgets and player searching.

When I click on some players, their position suitability often automatically selects the wrong position. Please see video attached to demonstrate what I mean. This happens on all skins, FYI.

 

A response and/or update on a fix, would be great.

Are the team still looking in to this? Been an issue since JANUARY. And has been under review, this whole time. I’ve asked for updates on numerous occasions, as well.

Can I have an update on when this will be fixed?

I think we’ve just got to accept yet another issue with this FM, chaps. Along with the above... I’ve reported so many bugs this year. And add the awful interface, the horrid amount of purple launched at the skin that they’re bafflingly going with and I’ve even suffered corrupt save files, twice. Not that I’ll get it as I’ve spent hours trying to apply fixes on the game to address so many issues... but I’ve actually applied for a refund! I’ll try again on FM22.

The screenshot attached appears to be the 'Scout Priorities' tab, are reports visible and the screen populated if you go to the Assignments tab? Or, if you go to 'players -> scouted' are results returned?

The host (Adam Howard) and I (Tom Campbell) are not receiving scout reports. The other manager/user (Peter Adams) is receiving reports, without issue.

All using Macs:
- Adam Howard and Peter Adams - MacBook Air
- Tom Campbell (me) - M1 MacBook Pro.

 

If you could let me know what you discover - that would be great. It's very hard to play without scouting.

Has anyone seen this? I've now resigned and retired  and added a new manager. This hasn't fixed the issue.

Just sold a 2nd player and now it has worked. So £4.8m has simply disappeared. Is this a rule I'm unaware of?

Another issue to the list that I've reported recently. I sold a player for £4.8m on deadline. I get 100% of transfer revenue and I did not receive any of the money.

It appears on my income page, the transfer page, my transfer history and the player has joined the other team. Even the news item clarifies that 'The board have agreed that £4.8m will be added to the transfer budget'. Yet my transfer budget has not increased. i have also continued a few times, to see if the money was delayed.

My manager profile picture keeps changing to the hosts picture. I have manually changed it... but every time we reload... it changes back to the same as the host's picture.

We haven't had a match yet... but I'm guessing this will also be the full look of my manager, in the match engine.

On an online save with 2 friends... I scout players and then continue... all the report assignments disappear, from the player scout assignments list. Haven't managed to scout a player yet.
