  1. I got it, finally, scouting package and scouting budget only pay to see lists of players, but to scout them you need to pay extra.
  2. I'm in a lower league with an "amateur team", finances started at 0, but there is a "scouting budget" to fully cover first package beyond none. My understanding is that as long as one does not go scouting beyond what the package includes, you could launch "recruitment focuses" within that scouting package and the costs would be covered by the budget, but seems my finances are still drained through "scouting costs" what I am missing here ?
  3. Thanks, seems only way to "scout" player without affecting balance (meaning for free) is to bring them for trial. Did not know player targets frequency had costs associated with it, interesting.
  4. Ok I see thanks scouting individual players costs extra once added column "scouting costs", shows small costs associated with each player, and bigger costs to those outside of scope. It seems only way to stop it given there is no option to not scout them, is to do no scouting at all. Having negative balance does affect things when asking for club to improve facilities, youth intake, etc.
  5. Finance is one of the areas of the game that it is easy to get lost with. I have enough money in "scouting budget" to cover "scouting package" selected, but still see each month new "scouting costs" adding up in expenses and driving the balance into the red. I though scouting budget was additional and separate from balance in bank, also unchecked option to keep "scouting reports up to date" in shortlists and suspended recruitment focuses, but was under understanding that as long as all those things are done within scope of scouting package, no additional funds would be needed. Am I misunderstanding something of scouting costs then ?
  6. Does not seem to be the case, for example "Parachute payments" and "Off the shirt", only are applied in income at end of season before starting new one, not sure if any of the other sponsorship or options there give you a monthly income, but seems its only after season ends on a yearly basis.
  7. I want to add some regular income to the team I have through in-game editor, found the sponsor and income stream, however do not understand, does the money added here is only reflected at end of season, given nothing appears in-game. Also what's the difference of selecting fixed amount to leaving it unselected and the dates, if I just want to simulate a "parachute payments" like a one time help, given to a club, why should i select fixed vs leaving it unselected, do not understand how that works. Thanks.
  8. I am struggling to know what set piece delegation means, I have a set piece coach did the initial query for set pieces and set delegation as "I handle set piece tactics", but leave "set piece takes" and "set piece personnel". As I understand it then, set piece coach takes care of takers and personnel means any other who is no a taker on a list. And that I would take care of the routines themselves (like who stays back, who goes forth), because during game in dugout get advise that "during free kick attacks we are no having many people defending and leaving us exposed to counter attacks". Also even if I fully take charge of everything regarding set pieces, a set coach would still be needed for training star assignment, and even in that case if a new player is incorporated to team, or one player leaves, I would need to manually rearrange or update takers or personnel lists in set pieces , is this how the system works ?
  9. Checking on this, it seems once you add the player to the "development" list you can then setup the conditions of the loan to be accepted, wage payments, training facilities, etc.
  10. I think you can let him know what are you expecting in terms of loans, the problem for me is that no one wants to take my players for loan even if I am fully paying for their wages, or even offering extra money , any tips on how to make loans work in Fm23 ?
  11. I do not see any store having FM 24 console for Xbox as a pre-order or coming soon , does this means SI will no longer release Xbox physical discs ? I hope they continue to do that, as I trade games I already played and that is not possible with digital purchases.
  12. Or you would have to purchase twice the same game on each platform. Also where can I buy the cool Xbox FM24 controller displayed in FM website ?
  13. If you do not want to put the effort then you can always purchase a microtransaction, however I prefer to keep the game as real as possible, this version of game seems to have right amount of info, as the full version is too much for me. Love that with Game Pass can play both on Windows and Xbox, however except for matches the control interface does need some additional work to be done, luckily you can always plug a keyboard and mouse.
  14. After playing the game I feel, training is one of the key areas of the game, even with great coaches you will do only ok, but not great, also not sure how good the AI is to help develop the youth with automated training, however the AI does never use "Match review" after each game which helps to avoid same mistakes moving forward. Contract and transfers I am not sure if having good staff would be helpful, while I do not enjoy it too much, I do not want AI to do a bad contract signing or let go of an important player. I guess I was looking for areas where having good staff the AI can make good or at least not that bad decision
  15. What are the things you usually delegate to others specially in lower leagues with limited budgets
