Where does it say he's from London? IOM falls under England in the DB. He didn't have Douglas assigned as City of Birth, but I've added that. I was aware he was from there - I'm 1/8th Manx myself actually and spent my summers there as a kid and my grandparents house.
I have added Douglas to his City of birth.
Sorry I sent the wrong screenshot. That’s very interesting. Maybe you should give FC Isle of Man a go in their first season when we can get the lower English leagues available

Do you need all player data for FC IOM? Nothing is coming up on my game.

Glad people are enjoying the game. Unfortunately for me I just can’t get over the ME!
On a positive note I do agree with a lot of the posts on here that outside of the ME this game is brilliant though. So credit to SI for that.

With lots of ME bugs not being fixed in FM20 as S.I have announced they’re not doing anymore updates this version will anyone be buying FM21?
I personally think it’s scandalous that they can leave a knowingly buggy game broken and then expect us all to pay for it again next year in hope that they’ve finally fixed what we paid for last year.I feel they’re exploiting the loyalty of their customers as it is a game a lot of us love.
When people raise the issues of the game not being good enough in its current state the forums threads seem to get closed for replies or moved into the update feedback thread; which in my opinion is just brushing the customer complaints under the carpet. I imagine the same will happen to this thread.
Interested to hear other people’s thoughts as I’m personally gutted that the game in my eyes isn’t worth playing.

Why? Focusing on the current engine would be taking away the focus for FM21's engine, which will be of far more importance at this stage of the cycle. Any changes need to be extensively tested to ensure no knock-ons etc.
I am as critical of this current engine as most but surely people can see why they wouldn't still be working up updates for the current game when it's an annual release game.
I get your point but it doesn’t seem fair that they release a product which clearly isn’t up to scratch and then we have to give them more money to see if they have improved it next year. Madness

The ME is unplayable and totally broken? Not sure what I've been doing for the last month in isolation then, because it is playable and not broken. It's not ideal and there are improvements that can be made, but don't overreact.
I see your point, but the ME is really ruining the game for me. I have persevered with it for so long but its not longer enjoyable. I guess that makes it unplayable to me?

Also annoying starting a thread and then my messages just getting moved into this thread. I feel as if they're just brushing this all under the carpet. Really unhappy, bought many versions of this game and the ME is so unrealistic to a real game of football, I can't believe the developers can't see it/admit it.

The answer is no, and even if I'd be quite dubtful them to announce it.
Anyway no, just wait for FM21.
About older versions, the majority of users would likely suggest you FM17, which is good but my favourite is FM07.
Cheers mate, ill see if I can get a copy of that then.
Don't think I'll be buying another version of FM though, feel hugely let down.

Have developers changed their mind about having no more updates of FM2020? Match engine is awful, no way are the 1v1's realistic. Many more problems than just that too! I see on their post on the homepage of the bugs forum for 'Match Engine - AI and Tactics' that they're happy with the state the game is in and that many people are playing it. I have until now been playing it myself but have never been happy with it. My frustrations have now however grown too much and I am not going to play anymore. Really sad that they're happy with a ME which so many others aren't happy with. Time to play an older version I think, can anyone recommend a version where the football is realistic? (not too much to ask for a football game I know)

Just set the game to 2D mode and you wont notice these imaginary things.
I use 2D mode! Can imagine its a lot worse on 3D

I can't be the only one that has countless issues with this match engine can I? Do the developers not play this game themselves and realise this isn't emulating real football?
My issues:
- 1v1s being missed far more regularly than in other FM games and in real life.
- Players regularly blazing easy headers over the bar
- Players flicking on headers when they can easily get the ball under control
- Players clearing the ball for corners when they have time to turn and keep possession.
- Crazy goalmouth scrambles where defenders and goalkeepers seem to move around a lot but not do much with the ball
There's probably more but these are the ones I encounter very regularly, if not every game. I really want to play this game but the ME is just killing it for me right now, it's unplayable in my eyes. Are other people having this issues or is it just me?

How are personality awards judged by the game?
