  1. Yes sir! I am currently finishing my 3rd season with Parma. You can read about it in the last 2 pages. How about you, do you have an ongoing save?
  2. Parma - 25/26 Mid-Season Review (Parma's fans are loving life at the moment) Serie A and Coppa Italia: As of January 1, 2026, we're halfway through our third season with Parma, and it’s shaping up to be a memorable one. Reaching 100 games in management with this club is a significant milestone, and it’s even sweeter given our current standing. (Barzagli is becoming part of the Parma furniture) We find ourselves in 5th place with 35 points, already matching the number of wins we achieved in the whole of last season. (Serie A table in January 2026) Our impressive standing is backed by a stellar defensive record and a solid attack. We boast the fourth-best goal difference in the league at +12, largely due to our impeccable defense. We’ve only allowed 14 goals, making ours the second-best defensive record in Serie A. This rock-solid backline has been crucial in keeping us competitive. Offensively, we’ve scored 26 goals, the eighth-best in the league, demonstrating a balanced approach that has kept us in the top tier. This combination of strong defense and effective attack has been key to our success so far this season. (Ennio Tardini is becoming a fortress) If our current form continues, there's a genuine possibility we might even qualify for Europe this season. Our performances have been consistent, and we've shown we can compete with the best in Serie A. Notably, we went through a period of being unbeaten in 14 games at home, turning the Ennio Tardini into a fortress. This impressive run includes victories over some of the league's top teams. (Parma love playing against Milan at home) In fact, we've had Milan's number in our recent home encounters, winning three of our last matches against them at the Ennio Tardini. The most recent victory was a convincing 3-1 win, showcasing our ability to rise to the occasion against elite opposition. These strong performances have not gone unnoticed, and the board has offered me a new contract, extending my tenure until 2029. (Barzagli pens a new contract) This contract extension is a testament to the hard work and progress we've made as a team. The club's faith in our vision and strategy is clear, and we are excited about the future. If we can maintain this level of performance, European qualification is within our grasp. It’s an exciting time for Parma, and we’re determined to keep pushing forward, making our mark in Serie A and beyond. (Parma player stats) Martin Satriano is having a breakout season. He has scored 7 goals and is already close to surpassing his tally from last year in the league. Wealthy Saudi Arabian teams are already being linked with the Uruguayan, and if the right bid comes through, I will not hesitate to cash in, especially because he has a €7M release clause in his contract, but only for teams in the Champions League. So if a bid of at least €15M comes we will accept it. Our best player has undoubtedly been the German center-back, Jamil Siebert. His 7.11 average rating is a testament to our great defensive record. (Coppa Italia R16) We have reached the R16 of the Coppa Italia in all three seasons, and this year is no different. Being drawn against Milan is seen as fortunate because, as I stated above, we really know how to beat them and have become their "Bogey" team. Lets hope for another upset this year. Serie A News: Charles de Ketelaere is having an electric season with Milan being played as a False-9 in a 4-3-3 Pioli system, scoring 13 league goals in 16 games. I love False-9s and would love to get a player of his caliber in my Parma team in the future. Lets hope that IRL he can replicate this form when he comes back from an astounding season at Atalanta. (Charles de Ketelaere is Serie A's best player) I forgot to mention that Fiorentina won the Conference League in my save! (unlike their loss against Olympiacos in real life). This has obviously helped with the league's growth, and we can already see some improvements reputation-wise. (Fiorentina win the 24/25 Conference League!) Italy's club coefficients have obviously risen because of this, and we now have 2 Serie A clubs, Milan and Inter, in the top 10 most reputable clubs in the world. (Serie A is growing in stature) We are still quite off player quality-wise in the league, but due to Milan's Serie A win last season and reaching the last 8 of the Champions League, Rafael Leao has joined Lautaro Martinez as a player in the top 30 of the most reputable players in the world. Harry Kane is considered the most reputable player in the world while Kylian Mbappé deservedly has won his first Balon d'Or. No Serie A player was voted in the top 3 of the prestigious award. (Kylian Mbappé has won the 2025 Balon d'Or) That will be it for now, arrivederci!
  3. This is a Fiorentina all-time 11 right? It's kind of unbalanced and has basically two tens with Rui Costa and Baggio. An asymmetric 4-3-3 could be the shape. You could read the "Style of Play" section on Wikipedia of each player to better understand what role they should play. For example Batistuta ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gabriel_Batistuta#Style_of_play ): He is basically the perfect Complete Forward. Baggio is the quintessential Treqartista ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberto_Baggio#Style_of_play ): And so on... So the shape and roles could maybe be something like this? It's very attacking, and basically, the only players doing any defending are the DM, the two CBs, and the left back. Let me know how you intend to setup with your Fiorentina side!
  4. Financially I would recommend Napoli or Atalanta, they also have teams pretty much ready to compete for the title. Juventus and Roma are a bit more tricky in my opinion as they are both in a really bad financial situation. Fiorentina is also a really exciting project!
  5. Parma - Season 25/26 Preview (Parma kits for the 25/26 season) Season Preview: The summer transfer window has shut, and as we head into our third season with Parma, there’s a lot to reflect on. This year, we are predicted to finish 13th, an improvement from last year’s prediction of 16th. Milan are expected to defend their title after their dominant performance last season. Newly promoted Palermo and Modena are tipped for relegation, while Torino, having bounced back to Serie A, are predicted to finish mid-table. Impressively, Torino have retained key players like Raoul Bellanova, Perr Schuurs, and Ivan Ilic. (Season Prediction) Transfer Window and Tactics: During the summer, there was a flurry of rumors about a potential board takeover at Parma, sparking excitement about a possible tycoon investor similar to Calisto Tanzi's mid-nineties golden era. However, these rumors turned out to be fake news, and there will be no tycoon takeover at Parma—at least for now. (Parma takeover not to be believed) The board has set our initial budgets at €11 million for transfers and €825K per week for wages. (Initial Budgets) We made some strategic moves in the transfer market to strengthen our squad while staying mindful of our financial constraints: (Parma transfers IN 25/26) Estanis Pedrola: A 22-year-old Spanish winger from Sampdoria, Pedrola comes with great potential. We secured him for €5.25 million, and his pace and creativity are expected to add a significant edge to our attacking lineup. (Estanis Pedrola) Tommaso Berti: A versatile 21-year-old Italian from Cesena, Berti can play both in defensive and attacking midfield roles. His adaptability and skill set were well worth the €2.8 million investment. (Tommaso Berti) Pietro Pellegri: The 24-year-old Italian striker from Torino, known for his injury troubles but once heralded as a wonderkid. We're optimistic about helping him reach his full potential. (Pietro Pellegri) Couhaib Driouech: An explosive 23-year-old Moroccan winger from Excelsior, adding speed and flair to our flanks. (Couhaib Driouech) Sepp van den Berg: A 23-year-old Dutch defender who spent the last five years at Liverpool. Despite being highly rated, he struggled to break into their first team and will be a valuable addition to our defense. (Sepp van den Berg) Marash Kumbulla: A 25-year-old Albanian center-back, formerly of Roma, who provides experienced backup for our defensive unit. (Marash Kumbulla) Additionally, we signed a young Portuguese regen named Tiago Nozes from Vilarregense, a 15-year-old with an impressive beard for his age. His early maturity and potential make him an exciting prospect for the future. (Tiago Nozes) Most of our outgoing transfers involved releasing youngsters, but we made a significant sale by letting club captain Enrico Delprato move to Juventus for €16 million. While it was a tough decision, it was an offer we couldn’t refuse given our financial situation. (Transfers out 25/26) To fill the void left by Delprato’s departure, we decided not to bring in external replacements but to promote from within. Jon Pena, the young right-back we mentioned in an earlier post, will be stepping up. Alongside him, we’re excited to introduce Francesco Scalini, an impressive 17-year-old no-nonsense full-back born in the region. Both have shown great promise and are ready to make their mark in the first team. (Francesco Scalini) It might not have been the most glamorous transfer window, but it was a successful one in terms of financial stability. We are finally out of the red, which is a significant step forward for the club. Looking forward to the new season with optimism. We’re sticking to our tried and tested 4-2-3-1 fluid counter-attack formation. Moises Ramírez will continue as our sweeper keeper, providing solid shot-stopping abilities and contributing to our play from the back. In defense, Coulibaly will take the right full-back position, with Sepp van den Berg and Jamil Siebert forming our central defensive partnership. Zagaritis will operate as the left full-back, contributing to both defense and attack. (Parma starting XI) Our midfield pivot will consist of Sotiris Alexandropoulos and Tommaso Berti. Berti will be crucial for breaking up opposition attacks, while Alexandropoulos will help transition the play from defense to attack. Just ahead of them, Tiago Dantas will be our main playmaker, looking to create opportunities for our forwards. Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Halseth Nypan will be playing out of position on the right as an inside forward, utilizing his vision and flair to cut inside and create chances. On the left, Estanis Pedrola will provide width and pace, constantly looking to take on defenders. Leading the line will be Martin Satriano. I'm hopeful that this will be his breakout season, as he has shown great promise and potential. Serie A News: Elsewhere in Serie A, the league has unfortunately lost some significant talent this season. Victor Osimhen made a high-profile move to Arsenal for €97 million, while Kayode joined Real Madrid for €64 million. These departures are a blow to the league’s overall quality. However, there’s hope that the teams will reinvest this money wisely. If our aim of getting Serie A back to its glory days of the '90s is to become a reality, smart spending and strategic signings will be essential. (Serie A transfer window summary )
  6. Parma - Season 24/25 Review (Parma Legend Gigi Buffon) January Transfers: In January, we made a significant addition to our squad by signing Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Halseth Nypan from Rosenborg for €8M. Just having turned 18, Nypan's ability and potential are immense, making him an exciting prospect for Parma's future. Despite some initial reluctance, I made him the highest earner at the club, with a weekly wage of €100,000, as his talent was simply too good to pass up. (Parma purchase Nypan) Nypan is an attacking midfielder, perfectly suited for the advanced playmaker role in our 4-2-3-1 formation. His exceptional vision and flair for such a young age set him apart, and we believe he will only get better with time. His arrival adds creativity and dynamism to our midfield, which will be crucial in maintaining our form in Serie A. (Young Sverre Nypan) Recognizing his potential, we negotiated a minimum fee release clause of €80 million for clubs in the Champions League. This clause not only reflects his value but also ensures we can benefit financially if a top club comes calling. We see Nypan's purchase primarily as an investment in our future, both on and off the pitch. In Serie A, the biggest January transfer was AC Milan's acquisition of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich for €45 million. This high-profile signing highlights Milan's ambition as they strengthen their squad for the second half of the season. Tel, a promising young talent, is expected to make a significant impact and help Milan maintain their lead at the top of the table. His arrival is sure to add excitement and quality to an already impressive Milan side. I'm genuinely surprised by Milan's recruitment this season. They've been doing exceptionally well, having also brought in Vanderson, Tobias Guliksen, and Assan Ouedraogo. (Milan's Mathys Tel) Youth Intake: In March, we had an excellent youth intake, producing three elite regen talents who have the potential to become future stars. Leading the pack is Brazilian winger Raylon Correa, whose flair and creativity on the flanks are already turning heads. Alongside him, we have center-back Marco Tartaglia, who shows great promise in solidifying our defense in the years to come. (Parma had an excellent youth intake) The most exciting prospect, however, is striker Luigi Salvati. Salvati possesses incredible pace and acceleration, making him a constant threat to opposition defenses. (Salvati is one for the future) I am thrilled about the quality of these young players and am eager to see how they develop. Relying on our youth intake is a crucial part of our strategy moving forward. Nurturing homegrown talent is essential for the club's long-term success and sustainability. My objective is to produce the best players in Italy and to have a squad that reflects Parma's commitment to excellence and development. (Luigi Salvati) Serie A and Coppa Italia: The season has come to an end, and Parma finished in 13th place with 48 points and a goal difference of exactly 0. Reflecting on the season, it's a bit of a mixed bag of emotions. The team started the season in the top half of the table, knocking on the doors of European qualification, which was an exhilarating period. However, the latter half of the season saw a dip in form, with Parma enduring a six-match winless streak, which ultimately pulled the team down the standings. (Serie A final league table) Frustratingly, the xG table had Parma in 5th place, indicating a massive underperformance relative to expected goals by 11 goals and expected points by 13. This underperformance highlights the inefficiency in converting chances and securing points that were there for the taking. (Serie A xG table) There were unexpected struggles against teams that Parma were tipped to beat, which was frustrating. Yet, paradoxically, the team often rose to the occasion against stronger opponents, proving to be a challenging side for the league's top teams. This inconsistency was a significant factor in the mid-table finish. Despite the ups and downs, there's a sense of satisfaction that the progression feels more natural and grounded in reality. It would have been unrealistic to qualify for Europe in the first season back in the top flight. The journey this season, with its highs and lows, sets a solid foundation for continued growth and improvement in the future. Milan clinched the Serie A title with a whopping 93 points, finally earning their 2nd star with 20 scudetti. (Milan clinch Serie A title) Our journey in the Coppa Italia was nothing short of impressive, as we navigated through several tough opponents to reach the semi-finals. The road to the semi-finals included victories against Sampdoria, Salernitana, and Bologna, showcasing our determination and quality in cup competitions. The highlight of our cup run was undoubtedly the thrilling encounter against giants Inter Milan in the quarter-finals. In a tense and closely contested match, we held our own against one of the league's powerhouses, eventually forcing the game into a penalty shootout. The shootout proved to be a nerve-wracking affair, but our players held their nerve and emerged victorious, securing a memorable win against formidable opposition. (Parma beat Inter on penalties in the Coppa) However, our journey in the Coppa Italia came to an end in the semi-finals, where we faced a formidable Milan side. Despite a valiant effort, Milan proved to be too strong for us, and we were unable to overcome their quality and experience. Milan's dominance culminated in a historic double as they claimed victory in the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta. In a breathtaking display of skill and determination, Milan secured a resounding 6-0 win, sealing their triumph in emphatic fashion. (Milan destroy Atalanta 6-0 in the Coppa Italia Final) Season Summary: Despite facing financial challenges, we've been steadily upgrading our facilities, focusing on improving our training facilities, youth recruitment, and coaching staff. These investments are crucial for the long-term development and success of the club, even if they strain our finances in the short term. While we may be €17 million in the red, our estimated value has more than doubled, reflecting the progress we've made on and off the pitch. (Season Summary Table) Another positive indicator is the significant increase in our average attendance, which has risen by 50%. This demonstrates the growing support and enthusiasm among our fans, who continue to stand by us through thick and thin. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing season for Italian clubs in European competitions, with none reaching a final of any kind. However, we remain determined to elevate Italian football on the continental stage in the seasons to come. As we continue our journey, let's remember the words of Italian philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli: "Il fine giustifica i mezzi." (The end justifies the means). Together, we will overcome challenges and strive for greatness, always keeping our eyes on the ultimate goal. Forza Parma!
  7. Wow, now we're cooking. He looks amazing for his age, and Italian as well What is his name? His value has sky-rocketed!
  8. Parma - 24/25 Mid-Season Review (Parma are enjoying life in the Serie A) Serie A and Coppa Italia In our second season with Parma, our first year back in Serie A after promotion, we are performing admirably and mildly exceeding expectations by sitting comfortably in mid-table. The team has shown resilience and quality, adapting well to the challenges of top-flight football. (Serie A League Table) One of the most pleasing moments of the season so far was a stunning 4-0 victory over Milan at home. This match showcased our potential and highlighted our ability to compete with the best teams in the league. The fans were ecstatic, and it was a significant confidence boost for the squad. (Parma with a historic win over Milan) In the Coppa Italia, we've also made positive strides, advancing to the 3rd round where we will face Bologna in January. This cup run has provided valuable experience for the team and an opportunity to test ourselves further. (Parma face Bologna in the Coppa Italia 3rd round) Several players have stood out with their performances. Vasilis Zagaritis, our Greek fullback, has been exceptional both defensively and offensively, making crucial contributions down the left flank. Jamil Siebert, our newly signed German center-back, has solidified our defense with his commanding presence and reliability. Nahuel Estevez, the Argentine defensive midfielder, has been a rock in the midfield, breaking up opposition play and providing stability. (Parma player stats) Our strong performance has not gone unnoticed. As a result, I have been offered a new three-year contract, keeping me at the club until June 2027. This vote of confidence from the board reflects their belief in our project and our potential to achieve even greater success in the coming years. (Barzagli has been offered a new contract) Overall, our second season is progressing well. With continued hard work and determination, we aim to maintain our mid-table position and possibly push for higher, while making a deep run in the Coppa Italia. The future looks promising for Parma as we build on our successes and strive for further growth. Serie A News In other Serie A news, AC Milan are dominating the league, currently sitting with an impressive 11-point cushion at the top of the table. A key player in their remarkable season has been new signing Vanderson, who has taken the league by storm with 10 assists in just 14 appearances. His creativity and playmaking abilities have been crucial in Milan's success, making them the team to beat this season. The race for European qualification is intensely competitive, with only 8 points separating 2nd to 10th place. Inter, Napoli, and Juventus are all in the mix, as expected, but there have been some surprises as well. Sassuolo and Monza have exceeded expectations, finding themselves in the battle for European spots alongside the more established clubs like Roma, Lazio, and Fiorentina. (Vanderson is Cafu reincarnated) Serie A has seen a significant boost in its reputation over the past year, rising from the fourth most reputable league in the world to the third. This increase reflects the growing quality and competitiveness of Italian football. Additionally, Italy's national coefficients have improved, enhancing the country's standing in European competitions. (Serie A is growing in stature) Despite these positive trends, there have been some disappointments. Inter Milan is now the only Italian club listed among the top 10 most reputable clubs in the world, following Juventus' drop in the rankings. This highlights the need for other Italian clubs to step up and reclaim their place among Europe's elite. On the player front, Kevin De Bruyne is currently the most reputable player in the world, and Mohamed Salah has won the Ballon d'Or. Unfortunately, it seems it will be some time before a Serie A player features in the top three of Ballon d'Or voting. Currently, Lautaro Martinez is the only Serie A player recognized among the top 30 most reputable players in the world. Both Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have dropped out of the top rankings due to Napoli's underwhelming season. Finally, Andriy Shevchenko has been appointed as the new manager of Salernitana. Shevchenko, a legendary figure in Italian football, especially known for his time at AC Milan, brings a wealth of experience and a winning mentality to his new role. For those who want to reminisce about his brilliance on the pitch, here’s a video showcasing some of his best goals: PS: FORZA ATALANTA!!!! FORZA ITALIA!!!
  9. Please do! Looking forward to see your progress. You're really blasting through the seasons. Well done avoiding relegation. How are you doing money-wise? Do you get a lot for transfers? Yeah, that 90s Parma team was something else wasn't it? They played an Italian 3-4-3 (Or 3-4-1-2 to be exact). I would love to shift towards that formation in the future when I have steadied myself in the Serie A. With a Libero, Regista, and Trequartista to be extra Italian. This was their setup in a 1-0 win against Juventus Ennio Tardini in September 1998: Which could look something like this in FM24:
  10. Parma - Season 24/25 Preview (Parma Kits 2024/2025) Season Preview: As Parma heads into the new Serie A season, we are predicted to finish 16th, and the board's primary expectation is that we avoid relegation. It’s a challenging task, but we’re ready to face it head-on. With their strong squad and impressive form, Inter Milan is tipped to win the league. Meanwhile, newly promoted Cremonese and AC Reggiana, alongside Frosinone, are expected to struggle and face relegation. The top of the table looks incredibly competitive this year. Inter, Milan, Juventus, Napoli, Roma, Lazio, Fiorentina, Atalanta, and now Bologna are all in contention for the title. (Serie A Odds 2024-2025) Each of these teams has the quality and depth to make a strong push for the top spots, making it an exciting and unpredictable race. While our immediate goal is to maintain our Serie A status, I’m excited about the future. Our long-term vision is to disrupt this competitive top tier and add Parma into the mix within the next five years or so. By continuing to make smart moves in the transfer market and developing our young talents, we believe we can build a team capable of challenging the league’s best. With a mix of resilience, strategic planning, and a bit of ambition, we aim to not only survive but eventually thrive in Serie A, making Parma a name to be reckoned with in Italian football. Summer Transfer Window and Tactics: We need to be smart in the transfer market, especially after losing some key players over the summer. Yoann Bonny, Hernani, Bérnabe, Dennis Man, and Cristian Ansaldi, all instrumental in our success, have moved on, leaving significant gaps in our squad. To strengthen our team, we spent €16 million on some promising talents: (Parma Summer Transfers 2024-2025) As we prepare for the new Serie A season, following the board’s transfer strategy is crucial for our long-term success at Parma. The board has emphasized the importance of signing players under the age of 23 and leveraging our excellent youth facilities to develop talent, both to strengthen our squad and for potential profit. This approach aligns with our goal to build a sustainable and competitive team. By focusing on young players, we aim to create a dynamic and energetic squad capable of growing together and improving over time. Our recent signings, such as Tiago Dantas, Sotiris Alexandropoulos, Martin Satriano, Jamil Siebert, and the promising youth player Jon Pena, reflect this strategy. These players, all under 23, bring fresh talent and potential to the team. Tiago Dantas: This Portuguese attacking midfielder is highly technical and creative, though not very physical. His vision and passing will be crucial in breaking down tough Serie A defenses. (Tiago Dantas) Moises Ramirez: Our new Ecuadorian goalkeeper, known for his physicality and shot-stopping skills, will be key in maintaining a solid defense. (Moises Ramirez) Sotiris Alexandropoulos: A versatile Greek midfielder from Olympiacos, he brings energy and tactical awareness to our midfield and provides much-needed depth. (Sotiris Alexadropoulos) Martin Satriano: This half-Italian, half-Uruguayan striker from Inter adds a clinical edge to our attack, which will be vital for scoring goals in the top flight. (Martin Satriano) Jamil Siebert: A young German defender from Fortuna Düsseldorf, Siebert strengthens our backline with his physical presence and defensive skills. (Jamil Siebert) Jon Pena: A 16-year-old Spanish youth player with immense potential, Pena is one to watch for the future. (Jon Pena) We will be tactically set up in a traditional 4-2-3-1 formation, utilizing the fluid counter-attacking preset tactical style. This approach is designed to capitalize on our strengths and provide a solid foundation for both defense and attack. I have very good experience with this system as it allows us to remain compact and organized defensively while being explosive and decisive when moving forward. It suits our squad's strengths and gives us the best chance to compete against the top teams in Serie A. With this tactical setup, we aim to be resilient at the back and deadly on the break, setting the stage for a season where we not only fight to avoid relegation but also aim to surprise a few of the league’s heavyweights. I have also added Delprato as an inverted fullback tucking in on the right side to increase players on a more defensive duty. (Parma's Starting XI) Serie A Transfer News: This summer's transfer window saw some significant moves in Serie A, with several clubs making big investments to strengthen their squads. The standout signings included Martin Baturina's high-profile move to Juventus for €60 million. Baturina's arrival is expected to add considerable talent and depth to the Juventus midfield, making them even more formidable. Napoli also made a major splash by signing Alessandro Buongiorno for €46.5 million. Buongiorno, known for his defensive prowess, is set to bolster Napoli's backline as they aim to challenge for the title. On the outgoing side, Juventus saw Matías Soulé transfer to Liverpool for €53 million. Soulé's departure was significant, as he had been a promising talent for the Bianconeri. (Serie Transfer Summary) Atalanta emerged as the biggest spenders this transfer window, with a total outlay of €101 million, signaling their intent to compete at the highest level. Juventus followed with €95 million in spending, demonstrating their ambition to reclaim their dominance in the league. Inter spent €73 million to reinforce their squad, while Napoli's spending reached €61 million. Overall, Serie A saw a total net spend of €262 million this summer. The league's substantial investment highlights the competitive nature of Italian football, with top clubs aggressively pursuing talent to gain an edge.
  11. Parma - Season 23/24 Review (Parma Squad Lifting the Serie B Title) January Transfers: Tough financial decisions led to the sale of several star players. Yoann Bonny was sold to Brighton for a significant fee, though he was loaned back to us for the remainder of the season, ensuring his presence on the pitch wouldn't be immediately missed. Simon Sohm departed for Lens, Adrian Benedyczak joined Bournemouth, and Antonio Čolak returned to Dinamo Zagreb. These transfers, while financially beneficial, left the squad with noticeable gaps. Rather than diving into the transfer market to find replacements, the club chose to rely on our reserve squad and youth academy. This decision was rooted in a long-term vision of developing homegrown talent and maintaining financial stability. (Parma 23/24 outgoing transfers) In Serie A, the January transfer window brought some big changes. Matteo Ruggeri left Atalanta for Paris Saint-Germain. Ruggeri was a key player for Atalanta, and his departure is a significant loss for the league, as he had been crucial to Atalanta's recent successes. On the flip side, AC Milan made a smart move by signing young talent Assan Ouedraogo for 10 million euros. I'm kind of surprised by the AI to make such a smart transfer like this. Ouedraogo, known for his impressive skills and potential, is expected to add new energy to Milan’s midfield. At just 17 years old, his signing shows Milan’s focus on investing in young talent and planning for the future. (Serie A biggest January transfers) Serie B and Coppa Italia: We achieved a historic triumph by winning the Serie B title with a record-breaking 90 points. This outstanding performance not only clinched the league but also set a new benchmark for excellence. We surpassed Palermo’s previous points record and broke Juventus’ record for the most wins in a season, securing an incredible 29 victories. (Serie B 23/24 Final League Table) Despite our league success, we faced a setback in the Coppa Italia, losing in the third round to Roma. However, this did not dampen our spirits as we focused on our historic league campaign. This record-breaking season will be remembered as a defining chapter in Parma's storied history, a testament to the hard work, dedication, and unity of everyone involved with the club. The achievement not only brought glory but also laid a strong foundation for future successes. (Season 23/24 summary) In the wake of our record-breaking Serie B triumph, the board at Parma has allocated a substantial budget for the upcoming season, providing 600 thousand euros per week for wages and 22 million euros for transfers. This financial boost is crucial as we aim to strengthen the squad and maintain our top-flight status. (24/25 Initial Budgets) However, the summer transfer window will present significant challenges. We are set to lose key players like Yoann Bonny and Cristian Ansaldi, whose contributions were vital to our success. Bonny's departure, in particular, will leave a void in our attacking lineup that will be hard to fill. Despite these hurdles, I remain optimistic about our chances of avoiding relegation. The board's financial backing gives us the flexibility to bring in reinforcements and invest in promising talents. Additionally, our strategy of promoting from within and relying on our reserve squad and youth academy will continue to play a crucial role. (Parma focus on youth) Serie A News: In the latest Serie A season, Inter Milan clinched the title, finishing 4 points ahead of the competition. Lautaro Martinez was a standout player, leading the scoring charts with 25 goals. Bologna had an incredible run, finishing 3rd and securing a spot in the Champions League. It was a fantastic achievement for them and a big surprise for many. One of the biggest shocks of the season was Torino getting relegated. I'm almost tempted to go and them manage them . Roma won the Coppa Italia, defeating us on their way to the final. Their cup victory was a highlight in an otherwise tough season for Italian teams in Europe. Unfortunately, no Italian team made it to the finals of any of the three European competitions. (Serie A 23/24 final table) (Serie A 23/24 Player Stats) That will be it for now, I am excited to see how recruitments go in this years summer mercato. The next update will be on our season 24/25 review. Arrivederci!
  12. Please do! I would love for this Calcio thread to become more active. I have recently been binge-listening to Golazzo: The totally Italian football show Podcast and they did an episode on the rise and fall of Parma in the 90s. Give it a listen if you can: Yeah, Parma are definitely ready for the Serie A right away. Players like Bonny and Bernabé are way too good for Serie B, but I lost them both in January
  13. You must be in, what, 2030 by now? Care to show off some regens?
  14. Wow, that was a close one I agree with @El Payaso well done in persisting with the Bari Save, it takes patience to commit to a more realistic rise to the top like with your Bari side. Keep going! I love it! I'm going to read that right now! Do you create all the graphics yourself? It looks amazing!
  15. I love an asymmetric formation, but it seems a bit aggressive for a relegation candidate. A high line, attacking mentality, and intense pressing need very good players. Have you considered a more conservative approach?
