  1. Season 4 (2026/27) - May Hamburg SV We did it! What a relief! We stepped up and won the last three games, finishing 2nd which gives us automatic promotion! AROUND THE WORLD Premier League Arsenal still only second La Liga Barca still can't catch Real Serie A Still Napoli. Ligue 1 Still PSG. Bundesliga Still Bayern. Maybe Hamburg will finally dethrone them? Ekstraklasa My former team finished 10th. I guess they miss me! Champions League Liverpool wins everything this year! Europa League Newcastle wins in the stoppage time. Conference League Tottenham keep losing finals.
  2. Season 4 (2026/27) - April Hamburg SV Thanks to the horror win against Hansa Rostock we jumped at 3rd place after 31 games. After six minutes we were already losing 0-2, but we showed character and managed to still get a win. Kamaldeen Sulemana was our hero, but unfortunately a couple of days later he broke his foot and was recalled from the loan. Crucial days for my future.
  3. Season 4 (2026/27) - February & March Hamburg SV Seven games to go and we are sitting at only 4th place. We keep losing silly goals and wasting many goal chances at the same time. There are voices among pundits that I can lose my job soon if we don't start winning; however, the board remain calm and seem to be pleased with my management. We will see what the future brings, all I know is that I will keep fighting for the promotion until it is possible. Meanwhile, I had a chance to see our new youth intake and there seem to be only one elite talent among the group. AROUND THE WORLD NXGN 2027 Most expensive transfers of 2026
  4. Season 4 (2026/27) - January Hamburg SV January means new transfer window. We looked for some players, but we struggled to find any who could improve our squad in a significant way. Therefore, we decided to spend the available budget for permanent transfers of Robert Ramsak and Tom Bischof. We also loaned Tarek Buchmann from Bayern to add some more depth to our defence. Finally, we managed to secure two free signings for the next season. These are two talented strikers - Taycan Etcibasi from BVB and Kelvin Rosario from Servette. When it comes to outgoings, there are some important departures. First of all, we received an offer for our captain Sebastian Schonlau from FC Koeln and we decided to let him go. Then, our experienced striker Robert Glatzel was given a chance to multiply his wages by going to Saudi Arabia and we didn't want to stand in his way. Unfortunately, this caused anger within the team, including our best player Immanuel Pherai. I tried to explain why we sold him, but I'm not sure if that helped. Hopefully, this will not become a bigger problem and I will keep my support of the squad. Transfer Summary IN OUT January Results We played three league matches this month and our form is still far from perfect. After we lost the derby game with St Pauli our supporters were furious, while pundits started to question if I'm the right person to get the club promoted. On another subject, I completed my Continental B License course and have already started working on the following level. AROUND THE WORLD GOAL50 2026: Top 10 Places Bukaya Saka has been named the best player in the world at the moment. He plays for PSG since this season, after they signed him for a record fee of €317m.
  5. Season 4 (2026/27) - November & December Hamburg SV We finished the first part of the season at good 2nd place, but the table is really tight so anything can happen.
  6. Season 4 (2026/27) - September & October Hamburg SV We are on the move towards the top of the table, but there is still a lot to improve. The DFB-Pokal win against our rivals from St Pauli is a huge morale-booster.
  7. Season 4 (2026/27) - July & August Hamburg SV My Debut I couldn't think of better opponent for my first game as Hamburg manager than their biggest rivals St Pauli. We were close to winning the game as we led 1-0 for the most of the time, but they managed to even the score. It hasn't been an easy start, but I was expecting that given the fact we have so many new players who still need time to adapt.
  8. Season 4 (2026/27) - July & August Hamburg SV Our preparations went smoothly, including friendly games. As I'm faithful to my tactical style, the main tactic is pretty much the same as the one I used in Miedź. Vertical Tiki-Taka all the way! AROUND THE WORLD World Cup 2026 It's coming home, finally! You would never guess who led them to the historical title... it was the one and only Nuno Espirito Santo!
  9. Season 4 (2026/27) - July & August Hamburg SV Transfer Window Following the relegation most of the key players wanted to leave the club, so we had plenty of work ahead of us. Basically, we had to start building the team from scratch. My first target was the best player I've worked with so far - Pedro Vite. He had a €3m release clause and I didn't hesitate to activate it. I think all the parties are happy with this transfer - a nice amount of money for my former club, a huge salary rise for the player, and a great improvement for our Hamburg side. We signed one more player from Miedź - left wing-back Kaiki. He costs us only €800k and will help us with squad depth. We have also loaned several young prospects, including Reuell Walters from Arsenal, Eryk Grzywacz from Wolfsburg, Kamaldeen Sulemana from Southampton, Tom Bischof from Hoffenheim, and Robert Ramsak from Bayern. They all should be given plenty of minutes and hopefully will be great additions to our squad. Other transfers were 25 years old Brazilian midfielder Juninho, signed from Goias for €3.4m, and 22 years old Swedish forward Oscar Vilhelmsson from Braunschweig who costs us around €1.5m. Finally, we had to improve our goalkeeping area as the two main GK's left the club. The number one at the start of the season is going to be Florian Kastenmeier, who becomes our most expensive signing this year - the total fee may be up to €5m. As his backup we signed Kacper Tobiasz from Legia for €1.2m plus bonuses. Transfer Summary I really think we did a great job here. We got rid of the players who didn't want to be here and the new signings seem to be quality ones. We spent only €14.25m on the new players, while on outgoings we earned €54m. Our financial situation is healthy now. Full Squad Here is our squad. Can we win the league?
  10. Season 4 (2026/27) - July Hamburg SV The club was relegated from Bundesliga last season and our aim is to come back straight away, preferably by winning the league. Very high expectations, but I love such an ambition! I asked the board if I they could help me with gaining my Continental B License and they agreed. What a nice change!
  11. Season 4 (2026/27) - June New Job After my resignation I didn't want to take the first job that comes my way. Instead, I was looking for the right and ambitious project. There was many clubs that needed a manager but, to be honest, none of them approached me. It was clear to me that I must be proactive. Most of the available positions were unappealing or simply too big compared to my experience. Then I saw that a certain German club who have just been relegated from Bundesliga sacked their coach. I decided to apply, even though I was sure I had only little chance of getting the job. The club is Hamburger SV. I was waiting for about three weeks before they finally came back to me and invited for the interview. The talks were very promising and only a couple of days later I was offered a tw-year contract on €89.5k p/m. In Miedź I earned €8,250k p/m so this is a huge improvement, however the money wouldn't be a problem anyway as I would agree on much less if I had to. Still, I did negotiate as I didn't want to look desperate. Eventually, I ended up with salary €91 p/m. HSV are one of Germany’s biggest and most successful clubs, having spent almost a century in the respective top division from its creation in 1919. They were founding members of the Bundesliga in 1963 and held the status as the league’s only ever-present club up till their relegation in 2018 – the only time in their history that they’ve dropped from the highest rung of the footballing pyramid. Since then, they struggled to come back and when they finally did, it took only two years before they were relegated again in 2026. The team's home stadium is Volksparkstadion with a capacity of 57,274 which makes it the eighth largest stadium in Germany. Hamburg is a city in northern Germany on the banks of the Elbe river. It is the second-largest city in the country with a population of nearly two million people. It's also part of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, which boasts a population of over five million people. Hamburg is classed as a German city-state and is the second smallest state in the country (only the city-state of Bremen is smaller). A nice place to live too. It is a huge step for me, hopefully I can meet the expectations and repay the board's trust.
  12. thanks mate! I don't mind staying in Poland if I could manage one of the biggest clubs like Legia or Raków. It all depends on what options I have, other countries are interesting too. I have already send my application to a well-known foreign team and wait for response, you will learn soon who this is.
  13. Season 3 (2025/26) - May Summary of the season ----------- Ekstraklasa I left the club when there was still three games to play and we were 5th. Wojciech Łobodziński has been chosen as my successor, I wish him the best! Raków comes back to winning the league after one unsuccessful year. Premier League Man City under the reign of Roberto De Zerbi are crowned champions, while Arteta's Arsenal is still trying. Maybe they are waiting for me to lead them to the title? Do they know I'm available now? La Liga Barcelona was close, but Real Madrid remains the best team in Spain. Serie A Another great season for Napoli managed by Vincent Kompany. Bundesliga Until Klopp is the manager of Bayern nothing will change here. Ligue 1 Business as usual. Champions League PSG finally wins their dream trophy! Europa League Well done Chelsea. Conference League Our suppressor Sporting CP was close, but lost the final.
  14. Season 3 (2025/26) - May It's over. I have decided to resign from my position as Miedź Legnica manager. I spent here three fantastic years and I will be always grateful to the board for letting me start my managerial career at my local team. We did great things together, the club is in much better place right now in both sporting and financial aspects so I believe it's the right moment to part ways. The chairman tried to convince me to stay, he promised a much improved transfer budget plus other benefits, but the decision was already made. Thanks for everything. I don't think I need much rest so I will keep my eye on possibilities. We will see if any club with interesting project wants me. Here is my profile.
  15. Season 3 (2025/26) - April/May Miedź Legnica We won the domestic cup! It's the first triumph for the club in this competition since 1992. Pedro Vite and Iban Salvador were our heroes once again, scoring one goal each. Thanks to this win Miedź Legnica will be participating in next year's Europa League. A couple of days later we also beat Piast Gliwice in Ekstraklasa, and with three games to go we are sitting on a comfortable 5th place. In the meantime the board offered me a new deal which I rejected. I will decide my future within the next few days.
  16. Season 3 (2025/26) - April Miedź Legnica As our situation in Ekstraklasa is rather clear we focused mostly on the cup games. We impressed in both matches against Sporting CP in the Conference League and we were really close to cause a sensation, but eventually we lost. Still, I am very proud of my players. In the semi-final of Puchar Polski we faced a 3rd division team Olimpia Elbląg and it wasn't an easy encounter as the rivals scored twice, luckily we were even more effective and won the game 4-2. 17. Season 3 (2025/26) - March Miedź Legnica In March we played three league games and the two-legged tie against Slavia Prague in the Conference League. The first game in Legnica ended with a draw which made our rivals the clear favorites in the return match; however, our players once again showed me what they are capable of and won 2-1. Well done! In the Conference League quarter-final we will face Sporting CP who is the biggest club I will face in my managerial career so far. I can't wait! Here is the league table after 26 games. After the great performance in Prague I reached out to the board asking if they could finally approve and fund my next coaching course. Sadly, they refused using the same excuse as always - they are afraid of losing me to bigger opportunities. I tried to convince them but they didn't even bother to listen and asked me not to waste their time with things like this ever again... Honestly, it hurts me. A couple of days later I took part in a press conference where a journalist asked me if the owner shares my ambitions for the club. Well, I replied with nothing but the truth. My contract with Miedź ends in three months and the last time the board offered me a new deal was in October. At that point I tried to negotiate my wages but we couldn't find the agreement and the talks were broken. Since then, they didn't present me a single offer even though I led the club to the semi-final of Puchar Polski and the quarter-final of the Conference League. Taking into account all of this, I must admit that I am closer to leaving than staying.
  18. Season 3 (2025/26) - February Miedź Legnica We started the month pretty bad, losing at home to OH Leuven in the Conference League and then just drawing 0-0 in Ekstraklasa. A couple of days later, however, we played undeniably our best game since I'm the manager, just see below... After the home defeat I thought that was pretty much it when it comes to Conference League journey this year, but my players prove that I should never ever doubt in their abilities. A special mention should be given to Iban Salvador, who had literally a perfect game scoring four goals and winning a 10.0 match rating. An amazing 5-1 win in Belgium and we are in the next round. Wow! For the next league game I let the backup team play so the most exploited players could get some rest, and we ended up with another 0-0 draw. I don't mind though as the league is not my priority now anyway. What we aim is to win the domestic cup and we are not far from it after the exciting quarter-final game vs ŁKS Łódź. We won it only in a horror penalty shootout (9-8). In the semi-finals beside our team there are one side from the 2nd division and two sides from the 3rd division. We are definitely the favorites. February Results Next rounds Puchar Polski Conference League There is some bad news too, though - our captain and leader of the defense Przemysław Wiśniewski has broken his foot and will be out for the rest of the campaign. As I still haven't signed new contract, the speculations on who could replace me keep escalating...
  19. Season 3 (2025/26) - January Miedź Legnica Mid-season break Our players had some time off and then we came to work so we are ready for the key part of the season. Transfers I asked the board for increase of the transfer and wage budgets and, surprisingly, they gave me a nice amount of money. With such budgets, I aimed to improve basically all the areas. The first signing was Serafin Szota - a 26 years old centre back who can also play as a right wing-back. We paid for him €550k but given the fact he's proven in Ekstraklasa and can secure two positions, I think he's worth it. The second transfer was a player who's well-know to us - Iwo Kaczmarski. He played for us between 2023 and 2025 when he was loaned from Empoli and then he came back to his parent club. Unfortunately, he didn't manage to win his place in the Italian club and we took the opportunity to have him back. At first we agreed to sign him for free in the summer as his contract was expiring in 6 months, but when I found that €120k would be enough to sign him now, I didn't hesitate. The final task was to improve the attack but we struggled to find a quality striker who would accept our wages. Then, only a couple of days before the close of the transfer window, we decided to activate €1mln release clause for Filip Szymczak - a 23 years old Polish forward. Record signing, but we really needed more quality in that area as Marcel Mansfeld, who shined last year has scored only 2 league goals so far this season. Also, we offered a contract to Jan Biegański who will join us for free in the summer. Summary AROUND THE WORLD Below you can see most expensive transfers of 2025. Wirtz to Man Utd is a huge news.
  20. Season 3 (2025/26) - November & December Miedź Legnica Our league form has been really poor lately as we collected only 6 points out of 18 possible. As a result, we finished the first part of the season only at 9th place. The positive news is that we progressed to the quarter final of Puchar Polski and to the playoff stage of the Conference League. I must say our squad lacks quality to be able to play every 3-4 days in several competitions. It is obvious that we cannot base our team only on free transfers anymore if we want to reach a higher level. On a good note, this is a good moment to show you how our best player Pedro Vite improved his skills. Luckily, we managed to extend his contract during the preseason and if any club wants to steal him from us, a big bag of money is going to be required. It has been three times in a row now when I asked the board to approve my next coaching badge course, but they keep saying no for selfish reasons. I don't like this. My contract here ends at the end of this season and they already tried to extend it but I rejected the offer as their attitude in many areas, including my development or transfer budget, really starts to worry me. I have to think about it. AROUND THE WORLD The top European leagues so far. GOAL50 2025 - top ten places.
  21. Season 3 (2025/26) - September & October Miedź Legnica Mixed results.
  22. Season 3 (2025/26) - July & August Miedź Legnica Start of the season Before the first game we had to choose our new captain as Nemanja Mijuskovic left the club after his contract expired. We decided that the best candidate was Przemysław Wiśniewski and he was named as the new leader. The first few weeks of the campaign were very demanding as we had to play every three days. The main target for this part of the season was to promote to the league stage of the Conference League and we made it. We are also at the forefront of the Ekstraklasa so I couldn't be happier. UEFA Europa Conference League fixtures I asked the board if the money we earned for the promotion to the league stage could be used to improve our facilities and they agreed.
  23. Season 3 (2025/26) - July Miedź Legnica Preseason This year's summer break was shorter than usual as we had to make sure to be ready for the Europa Conference League qualifications. We found time to play only four friendlies. Transfer Window I'm not impressed with our squad depth so new signings are necessary. Sadly, the budgets I was given are limited. The whole transfer budget was used straight away for permanent transfer of Kaiki who had €375k optional buy clause in the loan agreement. He's been great on loan for us so I didn't hesitate to activate it. As we had no more money to spend left, we had to look for opportunities. The first one was winger Makana Baku whose contract with Legia Warsaw expired. Great signing really as he can play on both sides of the wing. The next two free transfers were experienced midfielders Paweł Sokołowski and Szymon Drewniak. We also tried to sign permanently young Polish defender Bartłomiej Krysiak who was released by Gladbach, but he decided to accept Hansa Rostock's offer. Nevertheless, we managed to get him on loan soon after that. Another young player who joined us on loan was Mateusz Żukowski who will give us more options on the right side. In the meantime we were also looking for a striker who could put some pressure on Marcel Mansfeld but it was really hard to find a quality one. Luckily, just a couple of days before the end of the transfer window we finalized the loan of experienced Łukasz Zwoliński. Transfer Summary It is worth to add that I completed my first Continental badge - C license. AROUND THE WORLD The huge news is that Pep Guardiola has resigned from his position as Man City manager. On July 19th Roberto De Zerbi has been chosen as his successor. A week before that, The Citizens won the FIFA Club World Cup (being led by a temp manager).
  24. Season 2 (2024/25) - May Miedź Legnica Final Day We did our job this time and beat our opponent; however, it was not enough to become champions as Pogoń also won its game. We finished 2nd which is great anyway as we were the newly promoted team who was supposed to be included in the relegation battle. Thanks to our performance we will be participating in the next year's Europa Conference League qualifications. Summary of the season Here is how our players performed in the 2024-25 season. Marcel Mansfeld had another great season where he proved that he's a quality striker not only for the lower division, but also for Ekstraklasa. Besides him our best player was undeniably Pedro Vite (signed on a free transfer) who collected impressive number of 10 goals and 12 assists. AROUND THE WORLD Other competitions Premier League Liverpool, managed by Marco Rose, have been crowned champions this year ending 4-year dominance of Pep Guardiola's Man City. Championship Sunderland is finally promoted to the Premier League after so many years, while Southampton and Fulham are coming back only after short absences. La Liga Carlo Ancelotti and his Real Madrid keep winning the league, while Barcelona improves from 4th place in 2023-24 to 2nd place in 2024-25 under the reign of new manager Vincenzo Italiano. Much respect for German manager Urs Fischer who finished 3rd with Athletic Bilbao thanks to which they will be playing Champions League football next year. Serie A Simone Inzaghi gives Inter their dream Scudetto. Bundesliga Jurgen Klopp came to Bayern and it couldn't ended with anything else than a convincing win of the league. Hamburg managed to stay up in their first Bundesliga season after so many years of struggle in the lower division, but only after winning the playoff against Nurnberg. Ligue 1 Nothing unusual happened here, as always. Champions League Man City won the CL for the third time in a row, equaling Real Madrid's record. Europa League Just Tottenham keep doing Tottenham things. Europa Conference League Leverkusen managed by Arne Slot won the final in Wrocław.
  25. Season 2 (2024/25) - May Miedź Legnica Sadly, it wasn't our day and we lost the crucial game in Lubin. Still, we have a chance to win the title on the final day, but we must count on some lucky results of other games. Coming soon the final day...
