Is that sort of information (players and staff) actually available? I know I find it hard to find data on staff and players for Canadian teams that I create.

Can you screenshot the settings that need to be added in order for this to happen? This will be a great help for what I am planning for my FM25 Canadian file.

This question is indirectly related to my original post, when starting a game, if you tick the box that says 'add players to playable teams', will it add players to every team or just teams with no players? I only really want to populate the high school teams in order for the draft to happen in the first season but I'm not sure if this will add players to reserve teams of clubs that already have players or not.

You can also download the editor mod from the downloads section which will allow the min age to go below 16 and also allow the creation of u16 and u17 comps.

After poking around in advanced rules (a detailed file I found), Japanese university teams are set as an institute with min and max ages. The university teams also have high school teams as affiliated. They have options like 'players move freely' and 'permanent deal' ticked.

I guess that could work, but that would also only apply until the board changes. I wonder how other institutes and the Japanese high school teams are set up.

I found the same thing. For now, I can handle this issue whilst I work something else out. Apparently, from what I have been able to find out online, 'is institute' means the club will focus on developing and selling players as opposed to just not signing anyone and relying on youth.

Well, institutes can have draft picks, so I found out what I needed. I can feed players from high school to college/university teams each year through a draft.

Ok, I've ran a test for one season initially. As you can see, I have set Valour FC as "Is Institute" in the editor: Now, here is where things get interesting. Valour made draft picks: But, despite being set as "Is Institute", they also made other transfers: I was always under the impression that teams set as "Is Institute" couldn't sign players. Can anyone shed any light on this?

I'm doing it in Canada so the draft is already in place. I am just trying to see what happens if a team is set to "is institute" but has draft picks.

So, for the test, I selected a club and set them to "is institute" in the editor. One month into the test, they sign someone. I didn't think they could sign players?
