So I tried the tactic with Hertha, my childhood club since 25 years and wow. Bayern and BVB were terrible but I didnt expect to become champions in one season. Defensively the tactic is astounding and offensively the team picks up steam as it gains morale and cohesion. DOF is responsible for transfers and he bought me Brais Mendez in the winter break who was tremendous as the Attacking Midfielder. Thanks Davy for this brilliant working and brilliant looking tactic which doesnt use strikerless nonsense. Results are seen below.
Which skin is this pls?

Thanks for the reply I'll definitely try it. It looks so defensively vulnerable though. I'm a sucker for realism so I'm never completely comfortable with a tactic that I don't think would work in real life.

BEOWULF is the only tactic I can get working on this version of FM. It's really frustrating me because I'm Spurs and 442 shouldn't work this well for a top team. Especially when you have Ndombele and Lo Celso as the two central midfielders. They wouldn't offer enough protection to back four in real life. I've so far failed to make a 4141 or any other formation work though, so 442 is!
Thanks Knap for your tactic. It's allowed me to win at last!

Have Spurs been done as well? What's their team like?

I'm having the same issue with the standard skin. It looks like its trying to load something and fails but it happens every second or two. Tried lots of things (graphic driver, changing graphic detail, refresh rate etc) but nothing has helped. It also happens during highlights. I assume it's the same issue though as it sounds very similar.
