In addition; have you actively set reserve teams in another editor file? If so, could it have priority over your nation rules file?
-
I haven't seen this before but I have a couple of questions anyway. Seeing that Llanelli's reserve team play at their actual first team stadium I wonder a little where Llanelli first team is playing and if that is working as intended? As far as Wikipedia tells me Stebonheath Park is where they should play. Secondly, I wonder if you've changed this: If you haven't then that would be consistent with your idea working for Llanelli and not working for TNS. From what you've written I would think you have but just to be sure.

Random teams qualifying for Europe (Custom DB)
Fredrik replied to JoaoSintrense's topic in Editors Hideaway
You can see that if you try to create relatively vanilla versions of eg African Champions League or in Oceania. If you don't set registered teams for the first season it will be "random". I assume there's some logic but it's not according to standings or reputation. -
FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Fredrik replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
At this stage it would be better to aim for FM 2+26 in August 2025 instead but I know why it won't happen. -
Can't expand Allsvenskan & Superettan to 22 teams each. [FM24]
Fredrik replied to anystroem's topic in Editors Hideaway
Is it Swedish U19 divisions? If so, it could be because some of those divisions expect to pick up all U19 teams from the senior league but also require a minimum amount of teams. Or it's the other way round for the highest leagues. If it's Swedish U19 divisions I therefore suggest you check how they pick teams and if there are any required numbers that you no longer fulfill. -
Add players to playable teams makes those available for transfers too. I usually untick the "amateurs move freely" box in the transfer rules so that even amateur transfers only happen in the transfer windows. Then perhaps set windows so that transfers are entirely blocked between windows. Have to say though that the more 'real' players with part-time contracts there are the less transfers you'll see.

FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Fredrik replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
The concern would be that since Unity is a big step the changeover to a consolecentric game would happen at the same time. I'm happy to be proven wrong. I'm at concerned about it, but if it's not happening then all the better. -
I'm very interested in how. For players they're probably going to use separate scales but for non-players? How high CA will the Champions League winning manager have? Here's basically the only concern I have about the inclusion of the women's game. That they're going to do a another take on the 'gay player comes out' by trying to will something into existence. IRL there's a bias at the very least against managers/staff from that side. I want the game to mimick this regardless of what I feel about it in real life football. The roadmap will also ideally show something from new graphics and/or ME, perhaps "by accident".

FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Fredrik replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
It's the console thing that worries me the most. I'm on record talking about the editor but that's probably a niche thing and unrelated to the big picture. I'm worried they will start with micro transactions and/or make "achievements' a much bigger part of the game. Online/multiplayer too. I mean, fair play to those that play these things and like it but this would bea fundamental shift for the (much) worse. Miles has dropped some hints this is their way forward saying that players should find new things after 500 hours of gameplay. -
0, 1 or-1 for Club Balances and Budgets in the Database

I'm pretty sure 0 means random and 1 means 1. Random doesn't necessarily mean Man City though or even possible to. -
FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Fredrik replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
You're not the only one, if it's the pre-game editor you mean. I won't play without it. I see so many small things I want to change every time I play and I do. I also create nation rules in order to play in lower leagues or obscure nations. Won't do without the editor. -
You likely can't with Andorra. Most countries have hardcoded rules for name generation and migrants/diasporas/etc. If memory serves me right then pre-1922 Ireland is your best bet as basis nation. My number one hate but I'm not holding my breath that they're going to make these things visible. EDIT: creating an additional nation has its own challenges. You need to move one nation out of Europe for intl tournaments to work.

FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Fredrik replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
It's entirely possible all this will be nothing come late November and the game is released with around the same number and severity of bugs as usual. Some people will complain about exclusion of some features and the inclusion of another feature but the game itself would be fine. It's also entirely possible that there's an ongoing epic meltdown behind the scenes which is why there's a delay. I'm an avid editor and won't buy the game unless there's a working pre-game editor. I understand I'm a tiny minority but it's still important to me. I invite others with similar(or different) concerns to voice them. I get a bit antsy about possibly not having an editor but we'll see. The whole upgrade and delay means I'm less certain this time. -
You have confirmed you actually have 166 teams? Including reserve teams.

Any news on the future of editing in FM25?
Fredrik replied to Supermercado99's topic in Editors Hideaway
I saw a plausible prediction. Honestly, any other prediction is just fear. Fear of SI breaking something. AFAIR there wasn't an editor for CM4(or was it FM4 can't remember). -
Teams randomly switching from one (non-regional) subdivision to another
Fredrik replied to Bggggg's topic in Editors Hideaway
Have you set regional divisions for these clubs in the editor? There's another thing too in the advanced rules which is how groups are organized. It's set to reputation by default. Under Stages and then Group Settings. Check if you have something there and if removing does anything. -

I am going to focus my Beta on things that can break because of the addition of the women's game. Nation is one thing but surely they've done that... Names are an obvious thing, just like that clubs have both a male as well as a female team. Some of this is gameplay but I'll try to check for signs it's separate where it needs to be separate and combined where it needs to be combined I can just imagine the moans when the first male wonderkid is named Emma or Patrizia. -
Any news on the future of editing in FM25?
Fredrik replied to Supermercado99's topic in Editors Hideaway
It was hidden until maybe 10 years ago but after that I don't think it was ever hidden. The editor news,or lack thereof, is a sad state of affairs. I've noticed on various Facebook or Reddit groups etc that when people talk about the editor they typically mean the in-game editor. -
In FM2022 there were : East was West and West was East though since this particular league was in the Western Hemisphere.

WHERE do you write Serbia? Can you show a screenshot?

Can't play friendlies with clubs in the same country
Fredrik replied to poustar's topic in Advanced Rules Editing
Do the teams have stadiums? Are the coordinates for the stadiums set? If all this is set I don't know. -
As I just replied I also think so. Lots of lower level US clubs have a city set but no stadium. These teams move around if I create regional groups for lower leagues once I set the stadium correctly.
-
I've created lower league pyramids in the US and it seems to me that the location of the stadium influence regionalisation of groups. It's not certain though. Some things just don't work and it seems multiple languages is one of them. US is set so most people speak Spanish which is obviously not true. Furthermore, it doesn't seem like newgens etc use the obvious naming convention and regional hotspots for such people. Then the problem of this thread doesn't seem to work in general. I am afraid the workaround with multiple cities doesn't work completely either but IMO if you have "ethnic" or similar clubs it will do it. Besides, some of this is the problem that there are several layers of organization of a country. Not just what the game calls local region but metropolitan areas are often absent if a higher level exist.
