Hired one with good stats for it and ended up taking it over. Had him setup the set pieces to try it out. in short, we lost the 2nd ball too much and condeded goals from the edge of the box (We had wide open opposition). Now IMHO - A Set piece coach with high tactical and set piece stats should see this, but this did not get suggested or reviewed, which it should. It did not in 3 months of staff meetings or tactical setup. Although this is FM and staff advise might be better overall, but has a long way to go. Funny enough - all I did was move a few players to defend the edge of the box, and we've conceded much less since. What we have conceded has been completely understandable (Mis-Matched Header matchup due to injuries etc). I've not had enough time to see if training the set pieces really makes them grow much as yet, although the same staff member does do that training

To add to this as a spurs fan - Conte is stubborn (70 minute subs etc) Same with his loyalty to players (Emerson - Possibly the worst right back offensivley going). Injuries have not helped him, as well as what yopu can see from Conte's reluctance to play Bissouma (Dpemanding that his fit his tactical style before playing, but still persistis with the same 2 in Midfields - He demands players are almost peak, but favours certain players over others, very clearly. These are the reasons why he can't get a game. Skipp was rated very highly, and name as a potential future Captain during the youth times. He was prasied as a Defensive Midfielder in his first loan at Norwich, buy much more experieced players, in which he played most of theier games. He's been rated by nearly ever manager that's come in as a star for the future, so I'm dissapointed in the fix. IMHO - His top variable top PA was good enough - Note, I'm still not asking that to be higher. Managing spurs, he still got linkned with Real Madrid, so the fix did not work. A new contract did keep him for me. Maybe this issue is signficantly more to do with youth players reputation not increasing, reducing the amount of young players that come through and this creating a smaller pool of players to buy. Still, even with all that - Looking at the DM\MC young players Real have, they have no need to buy him As for being sold - Conte prefers experience over youth most times, so would likely not fight to hold onto him as much. Combined with youth players rep not increasing as the game goes on, I'd put that most likely as one reason he's sold in game.

From the ingame tips, Determination is supposed to have an affect. I'd assume personality as well, just as players "should" also have an affect, but you'd need SI to confirm that. As per above, Licences definitiely do, I tracked a few staff on FM22 that all improved post passing a liscence. My FM23 save is too new, but I do track the progress of certain staff I bring in - I mainly track former players that I bring back as coaches, if they have a good personality (+ attributes, and Personality) - Jan Vertonghen as a youth coach for example. Staff attributes also decline a bit after certain ages (Motivatoin espesically)

Nice - Staff advice has been broken for years, hopefully this goes towards fixing that.

Great work! Following this with a lot of interest. I'm actually playing a 4-3-3 ATM with very simlar roles. I only have 1 current Needle type player, so my 2nd MC is a good old CM-S ATM

Running this ATM: Picket has great free kicks, which helped him Grow. Reid has 1 trait - Gets forward whenever possible. He's also Provided some nice assists for the AF as well at the end of those runs Love the Left IF-S picking the ball up playing into the CM-A running Open, into the box on the counter. Those runs from deep are deadly.
