Is there a way to get your team defending horizontally compact enough such that the channels between your own defenders can’t be exploited by the other team? I’ve tried funnel outside and invite crosses but it hasn’t had the desired result. Can it be done or is it something that you just have to live with?

[16 year old good enough for 1st team]

I have a 16 year old youth player who is good enough to play most games for the first team, however I have heard training is more valuable at this age than match experience. But if he is playing most games, would it affect his development if I moved him from the youth team to the first team?

[Best traits for a deep inside forward?]

I’m looking to play a Wm(A) as a deep inside forward in the midfield strata, with the PIs cut inside with the ball and sit narrower. What complimentary ppms could be given to the player to make him play as a scoring inside forward? I don’t know if it’s best for him to start narrower to be closer to the goal, or to start out wide and dribble towards goal

Is it possible to have a working tactic with a wide width that doesn't end up with sub 40% possession? Or are the players too far away to retain possession for a decent amount of time?

I'm wondering if it's possible for a formation with a 4 man defense to become a 3 man defense while in possession. For example, can you make the right back tuck in and become almost a third CB, while the left back moves higher up the pitch when your team has the ball?
