  2. Good Luck with this. How have you got Aruba? Can't find Dave the Editor file with it?
  3. End of Season 1: Disappointment Remained top of the league, this time by 12 points. We suffered a couple of heavy defeats in the build up when the season was already done. Then, a managerial mistake, I thought the semi was a single leg, so after going 2-0 down I went over the top attacking and ended up losing 4-0. Condeming us to a loss v Pacific FC. Pacific FC ended up winning the league from 4th position, beating Valour 1-0 in the final. Nice to see Gazdov and Dendoncker finish the season with some individual awards. A big off-season needed now. Striker is top of the list, along with a couple of wingers.
  4. Season 1: 7 Games to Go Inconsistency continues. We're through to the Quarters of the Canadian Championship against Vancouver. Still top by 6 points. Simon Colyn came in from PSV on a free transfer. He plays the same position as Trejo but I couldn't pass up on a young Canadian of this quality.
  5. Season 1: Mid-Season Update After a great stat we've become slightly inconsistent. 3 wins, 3 draws, 1 loss in our previous 7. Not only that but the goals have really dried up. We still find ourselves top of the league, 6 points ahead of Valour. A couple of injuries sees us really fall away which is massively disappointing but expected. A new contract already which I'm buzzing with. A really poor youth intake though which is not what we need.
  6. Season 1: Quarter Season Update What a start to the season. Valour FC we conceded late and I was brought down to earth. Then two goals in 3 minutes gave us the 3 points. 5 clean sheets in 7 games is impressive, especially when you consider our first choice GK is injured. New signing Emil Gazdov has been brilliant so far. Top of the league with 19 points and the only unbeaten side so far. We did get this email after our third game. I'm not too bothered, I'll take the relatively miniscule fine. Shaan is our top scorer but arguably one of our worst performers, very weird! Dendoncker has been a machine and Bitar has been my particular highlight so far!
  7. Pre-Season 1000/1 - the bookies obviously don't fancy us. Big window for us, and even with these signings, we're still predicted bottom. Just to let you know, there's a wage cap of £11,750 and a limit of 7 foreign players. Tried to primarily bring in players who I knew would impact the squad quickly, as well as some plans for the future. Ex-Rangers man Fraser Aird and Roque Santa Cruz are probably the biggest names. Badru and Lurling are real signings for the future, brought in from amateur sides. Then, Danny Trejo came up in a scout report and I had to sign him for the 10 position. What a player he is for this level. Friendlies A long but solid pre-season.
  8. Club 1: Vancouver FC After two in game seasons, the Vancouver FC manager left at the end of his contract, and the club have took a punt and appointed me. Season 1, they finished rock bottom with ONE point. Last season though was a massive improvement and the club finished 5th, 3 places above York United. Pretty uninspiring vision for the club, but that means 0 pressure on me from the board. In addition we have a pretty healthy bank balance, which can't be complained at. Team Key Player Lars Dendoncker - brother to Villa's Leo. A Defensive midfielder at heart but will be used for us in the BPD role, hopefully with his dictates tempo trait he'll be able to get us going out the back.
  9. First job interview, rejection. Bottom of the table York United have rejected me.
  10. The Hexagon Challenge The Hexagon Challenge, probably the hardest challenge there is on Football Manager. So guess what, I’m going to make it harder. When I’ve done journeyman saves before, moving from club to club in quick succession usually kills the save for me. So my intention is to stay with clubs for extended periods of time. So how can I fit that in with the Hexagon? One Simple rule: I have to win each Champions League from a nation that has never had a Champion. The likelihood is, I’ll never finish this, but I’m going to back myself and see how many other trophies we can win on the way. Rules: Win each Champions League from a nation without a Champion Start Unemployed with No Coaching Badges Bring Through at least 1 Youth Academy Player per season I’ll be starting in North America, purely because DaveTheEditor’s megapack has yet to reach North America yet. With Mexico and the USA already having several champions, I don’t want to risk a Canadian team winning the Champions League before I arrive. Below are the nations I am unable to go to due to them already winning a title.
  11. May 2023 Season over. 2 wins and a draw to see the league through. In the game against Pyunik-2, we were able to come from 2 goals down to get the point. This league is crazy, Gandzasar down in 7th are in the playoffs for promotion due to the number of second teams in the league
  12. April 2023 Another unbeaten month. Some great results which ended up securing us the First League Title with 3 games to spare.
  13. March 2023 Great month, plenty of goals. New signing Bakalyan doing exactly what we wanted of him. A 4-3 win over Gandzasar all but confirmed promotion. And we secured that after our 1-0 win away at Mika. On the downside, we had our youth intake this month and had nobody worth signing.
  14. Winter Break Friendlies Great work from the boys. A 2-2 draw with LA Gomis provides some insight into the future as they are last years promoted team, languishing bottom of the Armenian Premier League.
  15. Winter Break 22/23 I wanted to bolster the squad slightly in this window, without spending huge amounts, so that if we went up I could continue to spend and improve. We ended up bringing in 3 players. Yeranosyan is a 23 year old left back, who should be great in this league and solid when / if we get promoted. Baralyan is an experienced striker with incredible mental's for this level. Despite Charles' great goalscoring form, his rating is often poor on match days. So I'm really happy to have Vardan to challenge him Finally we brought in David Azin on an 18 month deal. I tried to only get 6 months but he was insistent on 18, we'll see how he does, but he should definitely give us some much needed experience.
  16. November 2022 A month against entirely second teams. We smashed past Shirak-2 and eased past Uratu-2 in the away games. But we really struggled at home. Losing to second place Pyunik-2 and drawing with Alashkert-2. Not the ideal result to head into the mid season break, but we did still remain top of the league.
  17. October 2022 Another strong month, Charles Ikrchukwu the most impressive, scoring in all 4 wins. Disappointing result against BKMA-2, but we still held our spot at the top of the league.
  18. August and September 2022/23 A very strong start in the league, 5 wins .I'm very happy but in these games, it really could've gone either way, we're dominating xG wise but are struggling to assert our dominance. A sole loss in the Armenian Cup, against the side 3rd in the top tier. We were 3 down at half time and were much the better side in the second half, but they had well and truly downed tools. As you can see we have moved up to 1st, and have extended our lead over 2nd to 6 points. More importantly, the next club eligible for promotion is a massive 15 points behind us. We have a real chance of gaining promotion here, even though we're only a third of the way through the season
  19. The Beginning When I say that we have a blank canvas, I mean it. No members of staff, which is a blessing but also a pain when I have to manage U18 games until I find staff that will fit. One thing that isn't blank is the league table. We take over 7 games into the league season, finding ourselves in 2nd place. It is noticeable that most of the teams in this league are actually second teams, and so they are unable to be promoted. This puts us in a great position to be promoted so early into our journey (hopefully not too early).
  20. Club 1 - West Armenia Yerevan When I saw this club available I got a bit excited. West Armenia Yerevan were established in 2019, making them only 3 years old. That means - blank canvas, no league titles won and a club that is waiting for a spark. As you can tell by their name, they are based in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. The city is home to 7 top flight clubs, and we need to make that 8. We are the little brother to some of the nations must successful clubs, and it is time for us to upset the applecart and build the club from the ground.
  21. This save is going to be a long one. I have set myself the challenge of winning the top division of every European nation, with a club that has never won the title before. To start, I randomly picked three nations. I spun a wheel and the three nations were Malta, Russia and Armenia. I guessed that this would mean a start in Malta but it looks like I was wrong. Started Unemployed with No Coaching Badges. Although I want to get through the countries, I want to still put an emphasis on Youth, and as such I want to promote at least one youth player per season.
