It’s done by design, it’s not a bug and I prefer it that way, they just need to look at AI teams that play with 3 at the back and two DMs, it’s very easy to play against them now

You need to put 2 players I think on the wall and 2 in the edge of the box and it won’t happen again. At least that’s how I stop them in FM22

When you make changes in game, look at the top right of the screen, you can confirm it there

If it's a save from FM23 I'd give it a year if transfer window to see if they sign enough players in other positions
