Brought the below off Amazon on Friday. Seems a good price at £799 and handy to pay over 5 months at £160 pm. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CLLSFPQP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Lovely looking laptop. Outstanding processor imo. Sleek, lightweight, runs very cool and reasonably quiet with touchscreen and some trackpad features I have never come across before - and handles FM very, very well. Lacks a graphics card, but as a 2D player - I honestly don't think I need one.

Thanks mate. I think what you've said basically reflects what I've read/watched online. Particular the point between business/retail. It's a shame, because the machine I'm looking at (will link below) on paper, spec, even design, looks fantastic. I just don't think I can trust it now, has to be a point when I take notice to the bad reviews/feedback. Deal: Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7640 16.3" 16:10 2.5K Laptop, Intel Evo Edition - Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Graphics, Windows 11 Home, Fingerprint Reader, UK Keyboard https://amzn.eu/d/02jouf5z

I agree. From the reviews, it looks as though this might be one of those potatoes unfortunately, I really wanted to buy it before seeing the reviews. Thing is, the negative seems to be it gets noisy and toasty when gaming - is this something I should really expect from most laptops when gaming? Am I aiming for too much hoping a laptop stays silent/cool when running FM?

Can anyone vouch for Dells, generally, aswell as for FM? I am currently looking at (and linked it above) the Dell Inspiron 16 plus 7640 which is there most recent model. Ultra i7 chipset, 16GB RAM, Dedicated graphics card. All on paper, sounds fantastic and at just under 1k. I would have brought it if not for the reviews, more Reddit stuff. Most of the official review places all say it is a winner, but on the two YouTube vids I have watched and pretty much everywhere they all claim the same thing - fantastic performance but the fan is like an airplane taking off, even doing light tasks and the heat it generates is enough to make the mice/keyboard unusable. It has just really put me off which is such a shame. But if someone has that model or any Inspiron and can reassure me, I might give it a go. Can always return it I guess. But to my surprise Dell laptops, the consensus is almost specifically the Inspiron range, have an awful reputation, are of poor build quality and last 2-3 years. Not something I want from a device costing nearon 1k. It then makes me think, can I trust any laptops durablity these days ?!

Thinking of getting sucked into buying a new laptop what with FM25 being round the corner, suspect the requirements being higher. I dont have a laptop with a dedicated graphics card. To play FM24 on my laptop, I actually stream it via steam from my PC which is a fairly decent spec. Looking at the below Dell from Amazon. At the price it is below, I would want it to be pretty outstanding. Thoughts? @Smurf Incase link does not work, it is the 32GB of RAM, Ultra 7-155H, RTX 4050 6GB option. I have my eye on the Dell specifically because although I want something very powerful, I like that it still looks pretty slick and reasonably lightweight. 3-4-2-1 Mid Block: Control and Attack Space
shaunwwfc replied to kr10's topic in Tactics Sharing Centre (Upload/Download)
@kr10 Had alot of joy using this tactic in FM23. All in all, my most consistent and enjoyable period. Any thoughts on this tactic working in FM24 or what tweaks could be made to make it work? -

3-4-2-1 Mid Block: Control and Attack Space

@kr10 have really enjoyed using this tactic At one point, you mentioned a 4-3-3/Pep tactic you was using, would you be prepared to upload this? Would really like to see a different shape with this. -
3-4-3: Total Possession
shaunwwfc replied to Adonalsium's topic in Tactics Sharing Centre (Upload/Download)
@Adonalsium I think what you have managed to put together here, is pretty bloody special. I am a Wolves fan (shock..) and a huge fan of Nuno and what he managed to put together as manager of Wolves. His 3-4-3 system was a dream. What I just saw from the system is the closest I have got to it in FM - and I have been trying for around 5 years!! Currently managing Wolves, no win in 6, playing West Ham away who were in 8th position, I plugged this tactic in - look at this below 0.00xg at home. That is something I dont believe I have ever saw from a tactic before in FM. That is really something impressive. I have a few questions; - The 4 at the back variant? Could you please upload this? Using the principles you have I would absolutely love to see this because I have so many midfielders to try to keep happy! - Can you switch roles around a little? I was thinking of merely (due to personnel) making the left sided forward an IW and the right sides forward an IF, would this have a detrimental effect in anyway do you believe - If chasing a goal, what do you tend to do? - Again, using these principles, is there any other shapes you have created or could? Perhaps a 3-5-2 ? Or as mentioned above, the 4 at the back variant? I think it would be great to keep opponents guessing, particularly with this ME. I know it is only one game - but I am really intrigued by this system and bloody impressed! Great work! -
3-4-2-1 Mid Block: Control and Attack Space

Generally, across the tactic - what PPM would you avoid @kr10 Noticed you mentioned avoid come deep to get ball - thinking of adding more on the back of avoiding a player with that PPM! -
Having an issue scoring goals with my Spurs side at the moment. Especially seeing games off. Common theme is 1-0 up, completely one sided but cannot see out games and generally this is in an attack minded manner. Very rarely will I try to sit back to defend that lead. Having looked back on the season (3 games to) I have noticed I have only once scored more than 2 goals all season. Is there a deeper issue within the ME here, or is this just me?

https://amzn.eu/d/2FkeRIP Can I get a second opinion on the above please. I love the idea of this all in one and it ticks so many boxes, it is slightly more than what I would hope to spend, but if it runs FM and runs it well, that will be the sealer for me. Ideally, I would want this to run FM with a not a problem at all. My FM setup, generally is around 8 or 9 countries, large database. I do not touch anything 3D. Thanks in advance.
