Hello, I reported the same issue in Football Manager 2023 and it is still unresolved in Football Manager 2024. I just loaded up a save with Sweden only loaded, and simulated to 1 December 2023. We can see here that 2 Second Division teams are playing against each other and 2 First Division teams are playing against each other. How it should work is that the First Division North team should play against the winner from the promotion group with the teams from Norrland and Svealand. While the First Division South team should play against the winner from the promotion group with the teams from Gotaland. This is the game status of the save, I have uploaded the save game.

I just started a new save for the 23.4 update and I always play in Sweden when the last update is released. I finished the first season in Division 2 (tier 4) and won the league, however I saw in the qualifier for Division 1, both the Division 1 teams played each other and the Division 2 teams played each other. This is not how it is supposed to work, the Division 1 North team should play against the winner between Division 2 Norrland, Division 2 North Svealand and Division 2 South Svealand. While the Division 2 South team should play against the winner between the last three Division 2 teams. Just to make sure I hadn't done something with the database files (so the dbc, edt or lnc ones) I went ahead and re-installed the game completely and tried again. But similar things are happening, sometimes the Division 1 South team plays against the Norrland and Svealand Division 2 teams. It is very random. I simulated multiple times but the same thing happened. I have attached screenshots that show that I am running with no database updates (I am running 23.4 and haven't touched or deleted any files). Note: I am playing on Game Pass (Windows), if that matters.
