    This FM23 tactic is actually a High Block if I am not mistaken as it was using High Press for Line Of Engagement. FM22 doesn't have this option so I assumed it looked like Standard LOE to me.

    Width is an issue for you. IWB(a) wants inside space, you'll need to create it for him.

    • IWB(a) is a role your tactic should be built around if you're going to use it. Xhaka can't play the role well on the left as he is left footed, which will mess with his ability to invert. He's also not mobile.
    • IWB(a) not a great option for most midblocks.

    I actually used Xhaka in the IWB role as Tierney is injured and Taveres is still young and not physcially strong to take on a strong team like Liverpool.

  2. Hi all,

    I have been using this Arsenal recreaction tactic I have downloaded for my Arsenal save on FM22, this tactic was made for FM23 but the formation, player roles and instructions and team instructions are the same except for High Press which I change to Standard LOE as that does not exist on FM22

    So the problem with this tactic is my team seems to be under pressure a lot from opposition team mainly Man City, Liverpool but even weaker team like Sheff Wed or Brentford in the FA Cup I almost lost. They will get a lot of shots in and puts Ramsdale under a lot of pressure. The only positive is that I have good possession of the ball.

    Another issue is that my winger and striker can't seem to score goals, the ball either is shot long or into the keepers hand most of the time.

    I have tried Balanced mentality, Work Ball Into Box but don't seem to work that well.

    I have stopped playing the game until I can figure out what is wrong

    So I bought FM22 back in July and have been playing the game for about a month now, before that I was playing FM18. What made my experience with FM18 bad was mainly because I don't know much about football roles so I was downloading and using other people tactics and while some tactics works well in the first season it became bad in the second season due to the AI manager adapting to my tactic which makes sense. On the other hand I really love FM22 because of the preset tactic (I am using gegenpress) which seems to work season after season and I don't know why LOL.

    Anyway now I know I have a tactic I don't need to change every season I want to know more about player traits as I don't really understand some of them, for example:

    Player instruction                Trait

    Get Further Forward           Gets Forward Whenever Possible
    Cuts Inside                            Cut Inside With Ball
    Move Into Channels            Moves Into Channels
    Hold Position                       Stays Back At All Times
    Tackle Harder                      Dives Into Tackles
    More Risky Passes              Tries Killer Ball Often

    So above is just a few examples. Like I understand traits are behaviour and how frequent a player will perform it but what I don't understand is when I am reading on this forum about player traits or watching video about player traits some people would suggests traits that is already hard coded in the player role, like for example an advanced playmaker already has the PI More Risky Passes so for me I would say it is not needed to teach Tries Killer Ball Often if the player don't have this trait as what else would the player be doing??

    Another question I have is the in game editor. Why is the loyalty bonus/ signing on fee and sell on clause - percentage of profit from next sale uneditable or removable?

    I am having problem with a tactic I have downloaded online so I hope someone can give me some insight on what changes I can do. I am playing as Arsenal on FM18 and it is my third season and I have been using this tactic for the first time since the start of the third season.

    So a lot of the teams seems to be using a defensive mentality and park the bus kind of tacticin the premier league and I have been finding it difficult to score goals.

    The only roles that have PI are SK - Distribute to Centre Backs, BPD's - Close down Less, DLP - Run Wide with Ball and AP-Su - Run Wide with Ball.

    I have tried lowering the defensive line to Normal or Slightly Deeper and removing Offside Trap. I have tried Closing Down Sometimes/ Less. I have changed AMR from Winger to Inside Forward. FB from Attack to Support etc.

    I am even having a hard time getting my CF to assist or score goals.

    What do I do?

  5. So there is this problem with the IGE and I am not sure if the same problem occurs on Android. This is something I didn't really notice until I got to around Dec-Jan, when all of a sudden my player Son Heung-min ask for new contract and when I use the IGE to remove his unhappiness some of his attributes dropped. I have tried heal and boost morale and the same thing happens. I am not sure if changing the facilities level, budget or staff affects the player attributes, so if the Dev can have a look.

    Another problem I have with the IGE is the "Link ability to attribute changes". I am unsure if it is broken. I mean for example I changed "Lloris" Aerial from 11 to 12 and his Creativity dropped from 3 to 1, with either "Link ability to attribute changes" ticked or unticked. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to change the current ability star+potential ability star before making any changes to the player attributes? 

    Oh, one more thing are the Dev. still working on an update from home?

  6. Hi all,

    This is my first post. I would like to say thanks to SI for making such a fun football stimulation game.

    While I do enjoy the game, there are some changes need to be made both for the game and the in game editor.

    Issue 1: The AI constantly buying players and giving them key or first team status which result in unhappy players not getting enough game time, hence opting to be transfer listed. This is something  that has happened in previous edition of the game.

    Issue 2: The 30/30+ squad limit. I see the AI have a plethora of players which are just rotting there. I think SI should set a limit to 25.

    Issue 3: AI asking ridiculous money for their wonderkid or youth players. I try to bid on a player which is described as wonderkid and the asking price is 100M+. This happens on previous edition of the game as well.

    Issue 4: Is there a limit of players that’s needed to be in reserves? I tried to loan my youth players between the age of 18-23 but not all of them get any loan bid. Is that a bug?

    Issue 5: I like the in-game editor but for £8.99 I find it expensive especially giving it’s limited features. I would love to have an option to specify the transfer amount when moving players instead of having “und.” in the player history.

    Another feature for the in-game editor is having the edit button in reserve team to be able to heal all players and  boost all players morale.

    Clear unhappiness should be an option for all rather than having to go into each unhappy player to clear unhappiness.

    An option to change my training specialism and perhaps formation?

    So far that is all my issues 😅
