  1. Some great seasons above, well done everyone! Our campaign in the regional prem divisions was another promotion and a league cup. Just about able to keep a squad together now, and finally able to offer actual contracts which should keep the offer spam down Highlight of the season was definitely our FA Cup run which is my favourite cup run for a few versions of FM never mind saves. We'd beaten Donny in a pre-season friendly so was confident once we got the replay. The money keeps the financial wolves from the door for a few months at least, nice little record too
  2. 3rd season and another promotion, this time we went into the Northern Premier League Division 1 Midlands. This completes our little tour of Southern, Midland and Northern branded leagues and put us in a same league as our other fierce rival Harborough Town. It was a successful season with some good cup runs, thoroughly gutted to get FC Halifax in the FA Cup 1st round though. Scarborough dominating us away from home in the Trophy 5th round was also quite hard to take. Our winning campaign for the Northern Premier League Challenge Cup also included this nerve-shredder, I never want to see penalties again:
  3. 500 quid is absolutely outrageous if that's what it takes I'll go in on buying a level 9 club, who's in? Mentioned above but the constant offers for your players is driving me mad. I actually struggled to release a player because he was receiving offers every day, took weeks. If anyone's played Mount & Blade at these levels it feels exactly like the AI village raiding in that game. At one point Billericay and FC Utd of Manchester had 6 offers each which covered my entire first team. FC Utd took 4 starters over the course of a season, sorry @fcunitedfan but I hate them now!
  4. Some excellent seasons going on above congrats everyone! After some enforced time off (Christmas hey) picked up the save again. We got promoted into the United Counties League Premier Division South which meant we were in the same league as crosstown rivals Lutterworth Town! Having been knocked out of all cups before I got the job last year it also meant a chance to pick up some points for the challenge... Overall, a great season, not as much chopping and changing as last year so will see how much of the squad we can keep together. Between the constant stream of teams offering your players contracts and breaking loads of promises to upgrade the facilities I'm not optimistic. Finances were a bit ropey all year after I forgot to turn off the scouting package, so the Vase win was a relief. Maybe the board will let me do a coaching course now Some key players stats: And the most important results of the season:
  5. Needed to make room for Cocks and Dicks clearly. Wrt speed, after the first few competitive games of the season I'll play on max speed 2D key highlights, only go back to 3D and slower if it's going bad.
  6. Clearing out all those autogen numpties was great, never seen star ratings of players drop so fast! Hopefully can start adding some cups as well now!
  7. From 17th on the 28th of November to playoff winners, game could have been slightly easier on my nerves though: Final Table: Lowest level I'd ever managed before was Ithsmian Prem, quite fun chopping and changing constantly with amateur contracts, I'd made 13 signings by the time the window shut .
  8. Going to have a first crack at this challenge. Thanks for all the work you put into the DB @lionel messi, it's great. Decided to start unemployed and holidayed to the 28th of Nov. After being rejected by what felt like half of the South West Peninsula League East and West, Lutterworth Athletic took a chance on me. Replacing club favourite, 29 year chairperson/manager and Lutterworth legend in general Mick English: Manager Profile: Unsurprisingly, the team looks pretty ropey but they were predicted (and the board expect) a mid-table finish so potentially won't be a long running challenge . Going to combine this with a Brexit focused recruitment policy, when that actually makes a difference. First result gives me hope:
