  1. Does anyone have any tips or clues to at least get me on the right track?
  2. I have a similar question but the opposite. I would like to make a competition which has a promotion/relegation twice a year (winter and summer), where the team in the top division will be champion if they win it twice or if two teams win it they play a final to see who is the real champion.
  3. Hi there, I'm trying to make a database for the new pyramid of The Netherlands where next year the lower leagues will be changed drastically. While I am at the start and busy with the amateur cups I am already finding myself in a dilemma where I can't find the solution to a problem. Let me first tell you what the results should work out too, for the people who are not familiar with the dutch leagues and cups: The KNVB District Beker has 6 cups with only (amateur) teams from division 5 to the lowest league (Noord, Oost, West 1, West 2, Zuid 1, Zuid 2) Each have a specific amount of clubs set by demographic, which I fixed by giving all the clubs a Regional Division. Now every cup has 2 (qualifying) competitions with groups where they qualify for the knockout stage. First competition is only for teams from the Eerste Klasse (D6) and the Tweede Klasse (D7) where the top 2 in each group go through, and second competition is only for teams from the Derde Klasse (D8) and the Dutch Lower Leagues where only the 1st will go through to the same knockout stage. Ideally I'd like every group to have 3 to 5 clubs but that means I would need more then 26 groups which FM24 doesn't allow so this may be a higher number of clubs per group. In the knockout stage there will also join the teams from the Vierde Divisie (D5). This knockout stage could be different for each District in that not all districts have the same amount of clubs. (I mean an extra round added if necessary) A little extra to finish it all off is that in each district the winner of the quarter final will go to the national cup for the next year (TOTO KNVB Beker) and if they don't promote to a league higher then Vierde Divisie (D5) they will still participate in the District Beker and so be playing in both cups. So now my problem. When I am testing the database it states the following: I have narrowed it down to where the number 66 comes from (this is for District Zuid 1 the amount of clubs in the first year which play in D6 and D7) But I have no idea where the number 200 comes from! So this makes it difficult for me to find the problem I have to fix. I would also like to make it future proof where for what ever reason all clubs should come to play in the same level and the qualifying rounds need a bigger amount of clubs in either competition. Could someone have a extra eye on this where I might have overlooked something please? The Netherlands Pyramid.fmf
  4. If someone could tell me how to make 2 stages in a competition have results (like the first has already relegation and then the 2nd one also a new relegation) that would help. At this moment I have 2 stages in my competition (one for fall and one for spring) but while testing it only processes the results of spring, since that is at the end of the season.
  5. Thank you Wolf_pd I'm going to look into this. It sounds like something I haven't done before so hopefully it doesn't come with too many new questions from my side
  6. Hi there, Does anyone know if it is possible to make a league where you have a mid season promotion/relegation session and then start the league again with the newly promoted teams? So basically I want to have 2 competitions in 1 season with 2 teams going down and 2 teams coming up in the middle of the season.
  7. Oh wauw, ThnQ. I didn't think that line in Valid Years did anything, so I hadn't checked it. After that I also checked all the other numbers and changed them. Now busy with testing and hopefully the problem is solved. Thanks again!
  8. In the meanwhile I checked a couple of other Editor files and I saw in one a competition with 13 which did work. So I know that it is possible to make it work.
  9. Unfortunately it is my intention to use 13 teams. The real league system in The Netherlands is in a period of big changes which makes it that not all competitions are full (some on lower tiers even have only 10 or 11 teams instead of the usual 14) So if I want to go for realism, which I am, I need to find a place where I can play with a league with an odd number of teams in the league
  10. Hi guys, I don't want to seem impatient but does no one have any clue or tip to get me a bit further in my project to make the dutch league system as realistic as possible?

  12. Hi there, I'm working on a database for The Netherlands to make it more realistic and have all the lower leagues from the base game playable. Now The Netherlands decided that it would be fun to have a league structure with B-teams in with the A-teams in the 2nd and 3rd divisions (Keuken Kampioen Divisie and Jack's League) but not the leagues below 3rd division. Which in itself is not a problem. The problem comes in when we look at the Under-21 competition (Reservecompetitie Eredvisie). This is a split competition (fall and spring) which has a number 1 spot twice and if this is 2 different teams they go head-to-head in a play-off to see who will be crowned the champion. Also not a problem yet. This champion has the right to get promoted to the 3rd division (Jack's League) with the lowest ranking B-team from that league relegating IF they rank lower then 9th place with also the possibility that if the lowest B-team from Jack's League ranks 10-16 it will be a play-off match and with them ranking 17th or 18th it is automatic. Now the question to follow this information up... How do I make it that IF a B-team relegates (or needs to play play-offs) they go to set Under-21 competition instead of just falling to the 4th division. And if this happens how do I make it that another A-team that normally shouldn't relegate in case of a 17-18 place takes their place in relegation? The Netherlands - 1ste klasse Test.fmf
  13. Hi there, I'm working on a database for The Netherlands to make it more realistic and have all the lower leagues from the base game playable. What I've come across is an error which states that "It can't find rules for a division with 13 teams" This error has shown itself also for a competition with 8 teams. Does anyone know where to find and adjust those rules? Or is it something I need to make myself, in which the question is where do I apply those rules? The Netherlands - 1ste klasse Test.fmf
