  1. I use High settings with the crowd and shadows turned down. I'll give you exact temps when I'm at my laptop. Its worth mentioning though that I'm currently playing FM22 which doesn't run natively but I will test FM23 too
  2. Yeah I've got the base model too. It does get pretty toasty and stutters after a while if I have it on extended highlights and there's a lot of them. I tend to use key highlights mostly which helps and I don't run quite as many leagues as yourself. I would imagine the results of the other leagues is also being calculated in the background whilst you're playing your game which may put extra pressure on. Like I said I don't see it as a massive problem, mainly due to my expectations from a passively cooled system but I do hope like yourself that they can fine tune it for FM24 and beyond
  3. Exactly. And you could move clubs based on how much control you'd like to have.
  4. It's a "grey" site yeah. Worth Googling and reading up on
  5. I like this a lot. Feels very realistic. A seperate mode that role plays this kind of thing would be fantastic
  6. That's the beauty and longevity of FM I guess. You can play it in so many different ways. Mind you....... If I had my way everyone would be forced to start at the bottom, every player would hate you when you first start because you're a nobody and you'd have to win them round. I'd make the learning curve so steep that just getting through the first season without getting sacked would be monumental
  7. Yeah I completely get what you're saying. I only use my own tactics and only sign players scouted in-game. It's just the way I enjoy it. Have to be honest I don't have a clue how to use the data hub or any of the analytics though. I tend to be pretty old fashioned, if I see a player have a cracking game against me i'll scout and sign him.
  8. I have a mystic llama that will decide for me when the time is right.............
  9. I had a similar thing where a guy who scored a playoff winner against me then managed a team that also beat me in a playoff final 30 seasons later. Definitively a wry smile from the FM Gods there. Out of interest if they made the game harder/more realistic and you were fighting it out down the bottom of the Championship more often than not would you still play the game? I impose my own restrictions and I'm 37 seasons in and all i've won is 3 promotions 2 relegations and a Papa Johns Tophy and I'm loving every minute! Just curious as to how more successful managers feel.
  10. I'm honestly not experiencing this on my M1 Macbook Air but then i'm not monitoring temps exactly. I'm guessing this is during games? What level of highlights do you have on and how many active leagues do you have running? Is anyone else getting the same issues?
  11. Exactly. We aren't talking gaming laptops with jet engine fans here. Any passively cooled system will struggle under intense processor use. I'm more than happy with the trade off of all day battery life and silence for a bit of heat tbh
  12. What warming issue? I've got an M1 Macbook Air and it does get a bit hot but it's an intense game
  13. If there isn't someone in S.I. towers writing all this down i'll be sorely disapointed. I'm expecting long snaking queues in FM24. Give the people what they want
  14. I remember Kidderminster Harriers had a pretty legendary "meat drink". Actually all of their catering was top drawer way before clubs started offering better food after being embarassed on Twitter for their offerings.
  15. Yeah it set the club up for years, its the holy grail for a non league club
  16. Sounds great. I'm really hoping this version will be a complete end of era classic much like CM01/02 was @gunner86 Is it too early for "The Officially Unofficial “When’s the FM24 BETA out?” speculation thread"???
  17. Thats mad, i've never had more than a few hundred thousand at best. I did make 5 mill from a sell on fee once when in non-league though
  18. iirc youth level is just a thing for the English leagues level 1 play against other level one in youth competition. Either way as alluded to level 1 is the highest level
