  1. After a little break from the save I am back.

    End of season 2023/24:

Although we did not reach my target of 45 points this season, we managed to survive comfortably in 10th place. We even managed to finish above last season's title winners, who were Dungannon who finished in 11th place with 28 points, That's 48 fewer than last season.

Next season I would like to do better in the Cup competitions, but not at the cost of our top flight status.

I've never ticked that box as I wasn't sure what it meant. So do you get a buffed out squad then??? For example I waiting for cobh to get back to me, they have a tiny budget, little staff and only 14 players. So that will be added too then???

I think ticking this box does fill out your squad a bit. But I do not know the specifics. In my save I only got a few youth players added because my youth team was lacking in numbers. I think this button is most useful for created clubs, made using the pre-game editor, for when you do not add real life or created players to the team. It only adds players at the start of a save, not part way through a save. For that there is youth intake days to replace retiring players or you can buy and use the in-game editor to edit/add players etc.

  3. End of 2022-23 season:

Our horrific run of form continued into the next season and I though relegation was almost a certainty. But, we managed to get a few good results at the end and we stayed up via the Relegation Playoff.

I know I said I wanted to fix the defence, however I am just happy to stay up for now. Anyhow we now have our top flight status secured for the new season and I am aiming to finish with at least 45 points.

I'm struggling in the first season with them. Got to the final of (and lost) one of the many cup competitions.  6th in the league, five games left.

You must be using an insane tactic if you're beating Linfield with 48 goal attempts. And your GF/GA totals in the top league are mental.

I was using a very attacking 4-2-4 Wide, with only the two central defenders on a defend duty and one supporting midfielder. Every one else was attacking even the goalie! It is no wonder my matches were a spectacle.

Although it was this 5-5 all draw with Dungannon which put me off this high risk high reward approach for a while, We clawed back a four goal deficit to lead but conceded a minute later.

Since then I have been experimenting with my approach with mixed success. I went on a 13 match winless streak in the league carrying over into the new season. But I think I have created a somewhat okay tactic. We currently sit on a four match winning streak hoping to get a positive result against Linfield.

  5. End of 2021-22 season:

We managed to finish in the top half of the league this season and reached another cup final. Unfortunately we lost it this time round. We finished in 6th place on 56 points.

Although on paper this was a good season, I am a bit disappointed. Yes we scored the most goals in the league but conceded the second most. At one point we were even in 3rd place but a shocking run of form at the end of the season made me glad the season was over.

Next season I am aiming to avoid relegation again but fix the defence!

Wow just caught up, back to back promotions is good, just on the back of that you should at the very least survive comfortably in the top division

If we keep having results like this I think we will be okay. The Linfield goalkeeper had a man of the match performance with an 8.3 match rating despite his own goal.

  7. End of 2020-21 season:

Despite us being expected to finish mid-table, we managed to win the league convincingly make it back-to-back promotions. The two lower league cup wins were a nice bonus as well. Next season I am hoping to stay up. Whether that be by winning the relegation play-off or avoiding relegation outright. I'll take either anything else is a bonus.

I'm at Lisburn as well, the first stop on my Journeyman career. I didn't get McKee in my game. :(

When I was choosing which leagues to add I ticked the 'add players to playable teams' box. He must of been one of those players added. I will probably not have him for much longer as he is wanted by bigger teams.

  9. End of 2019-20 season:

This season I was hoping to at least challenge for promotion, but we went one step further and got promoted by winning the league. We did fairly well in the cups as well beating a few top flight teams throughout each of the competitions.

Next season I am aiming to comfortably avoid relegation.

  10. Lisburn Distillery are a football team, in Northern Ireland, that currently play in the third tier. However, they were a founding member of the inaugural 1890 Irish League season where they continuously competed until there first relegation in 1995.

In this save I will try to get Lisburn back into the top league in Northern Ireland and go from there.

This season the board expect a top half finish. However, I think we can challenge for promotion to the second tier.
