  1. If you want to play a short passing game you should drop "pass into space" and "counter". This is better for a counter attacking side of gegenpress. 

    If you want to counter, keep it, but it is not "short attacking football". A classic short att play builds from the back and outplays the opponent. Lower tempo and drop the "more urgent" instruction.  Tick the "work ball into box" if you want to build a patient style. 

    I would also play 4-3-2-1 with a DLP on support. In front of the DLP I would play a b2b and CM (s). This way you would have better defensive protection and can also build from the back.

    If the striker is isolated play him as a DLP (a). This can also help the IF.

    You can still counter press with a higher LOE.

     

  2. You have a top heavy formation with two attacking FB. Combined with a higher LOE. 

    I would reduse FB to support and tighten the defence. You defend wide. If that is not enough, reduse LOE.

     

    You aslo play to control posession, but counter opposition.....at the same time as you want to work the ball in to the box. Drop the counter?

    If all else fails drop the AM to DMC as a dlp
