So some context -
I started a journeyman save with NK Bijelo Brdo in Croatia (2nd division I think). Managed to get my 1st four coaching badges (I think it was 4) and get promoted and stay up after 2 seasons. Wasn't actively looking to leave but got linked to the Cercle Brugge job in Belgium and decided to apply. They offered me £2000 a week (rather than the £200 I was on in Croatia) so obviously left. 2 season in I've managed to win the Pro Division on goal difference in the 2nd so I'm heading into my 3rd season with Champions League football. I don't want to extend my contract so I will leave.
My question is this - I would like to manage in France ideally at Lyon. I've never managed in France and I like the idea of Lyon as a team. I'm not naïve enough to realise that I might not get the job - when I leave Belgium I should have 3 star rep or higher and all of my coaching badges, but there's no guarantee I get an interview or a job offer.
Is it a good idea to be unemployed for a period of time? If Lyon isn't available I'd take Rennes, Monaco or another top 6 club (though not PSG, not that they'd consider me).
Should I jump into another team straightaway or can I 'afford' to stay unemployed for 12 months waiting for the right club. Would my rep start to suffer?
