Hello, the reason for this is to do with keeping the amount of storage space the game would require down, so as not to make the game run slow, the same will apply to goals. -

Hello, it seems to be resetting because you are basically setting a new focus. There is a warning when selecting multiple positions, it will be anyone that can play those positions.
