  1. Nice idea, dude! A Brazilian coach called Renê Simões coached Jamaica in the 1998 WC and helped them improve a bit. I'll follow your journey!
  2. What's left for you now? haha I feel most of my saves die after I win the Champions League or the Libertadores. I never had much luck with Marcos Leonardo despite signing him for a bunch of teams. My impression is that he's good for "tier-two" European teams, but once you're competing against the very best, he starts missing too many goals.
  3. No shade or anything, but did you get any messages from the board? You spent a lot and only finished in 7th, that's a death sentence in a lot of clubs.
  4. Cool save, I enjoyed watching Stoke back when Rory Delap was around. And good job on signing Okonkwo. I used him in Wrexham in all my seasons, including the one we won the Premier League. He's solid.
  5. That's a beefy transfer budget for a team like Brentford. I bet you'll be able to sign some promising players and do even better next season.
  6. Glad you're back and that Rangers is doing well in your hands! Looking forward to what playing in an European competition will do to the club's finances.
  7. Good job on winning the league in this dominant fashion. Sucks hard that you can't drop down to the Europa League or even the Conference and test yourself there + gain some more reputation.
  8. Oof, I remember qualifying for the knockout stage with only 7 points, so it's still doable for you!
  9. Yeah, all they do is sign trash players that damp the progress of the youngsters lol I think you'll be "fine" as long as you reach the First Division asap. It will take a while, but the matchday income + your transfer policy and usage of youngsters should save Rangers after a decade give or take.
  10. Very cool post and storyline, mate! Looking forward to the next season
  11. Thank you, Jim! It's great to see Schalke doing well, I've had lots of fun managing them in this FM. I'm honestly shocked to see Tottenham doing so well as they're relegated around 70% of the time in my long saves lol.
  12. Yeah, Antonazi does look like a great option and he has a few years in him still. Not sure about the rest either.
  13. Mate, I don't see you losing the league anymore unless you're hit with a bunch of injuries haha. Are there any plans to bring on a player that you sold in the past? Even just one or two guys might massively improve your secondary team. Also, who's dominating the top European leagues in your savegame? Did any dark horse manage to win one of these leagues? Cheers!
  14. I completely agree with your take, mate. Although smaller clubs will have more games to play, IMO they just made this to ensure the elite clubs never miss the knockout stage. Regarding creating a topic, I'll give it a serious thought. I already write words for a living five times a week, but it could be fun nonetheless.
  15. I really hate the new Champions League system. Previously, you'd be able to even "cheat" and purposely fall to the Europa League or even the Conference and try to win it as they're way more feasible. But, I truly believe you can win the UCL one day By the way, your career in Colombia inspired me to do a Youth Only save in Uruguay. I'm from Brazil and I always loved Uruguayan football as they are a small country in comparison to us but somehow managed to produce top-tier talent such as Diego Forlán, Luisito Suárez, Cavani, and many more in recent years.
  16. Thanks guys, I'll check them out Congratulations on winning the league and the cup!
  17. Mate, I've read this whole topic today. It's the greatest career in Football Manager that I've ever seen and I've been in contact with the game since the 00/01 days. Congratulations and thank you for sharing with us!
