Since the Danish leagues came to FMM, I have spent a good portion of each year trying to win the Champions League with B. 93. I don’t know why this little club from the third tier caught my imagination, but it’s been my biggest FMM goal, and I’ve never achieved it. I don’t have a Netflix account, and I don’t plan on getting one. Yes, I could continue to play FMM23, but this entire situation has turned me off of the franchise entirely. One small thing though- I have to give my boys from Østerbro one last shot at glory. So tonight I start my last FMM save ever, 30 seasons to win the Champions League with my adopted little Danish club. I hope this save is the one, because there’s no more chances after this. Dear FMM, Thank you for the bus rides, flights, and road trips. Thank you for the boring lectures in university (don’t tell anyone that one). Thank you for the long nights after longer days. Thank you for the waiting rooms. Thank you for the park benches and patios. Thank you for lockdown. Tonight, we go again, one last time. Goodbye FMM, thanks for the memories.

I’ve noticed this too. Vertonghen got the Real Sociedad job immediately after retiring and Manuel Neur got the Porto job and is ranked above Klopp, Arteta, and a host of other well known and experienced managers. This feature would be really cool/immersive if ex players had more realistic managerial career paths (eg. Lampard, Rooney, Gerrard, Kompany) but as it is it’s just sort of frustrating

Just wondering what all goes into teams picking you for a job. Currently doing a journeyman type save and I managed to get a job in Serie B, get promoted a couple seasons in, and come in 8th first season in Serie A. My manager reputation is “nationally renowned” but I continually get passed over for other “national” managers. I fully understand not getting the Milan job but what does Vincent Kompany’s national reputation have over mine when we’re both going for the Braga job?

Currently having a really tough time clearing some players out of the squad. I offer them out for way below their value and a few teams show interest but never put in a bid. Anything more I can do to encourage bids for these players or am I stuck with them?

I had the same issue. Won the Bundesliga with Stuttgart a few times and felt like a new challenge so applied to Wolves, who were mid table in the Championship and got offered an interim job “until a more experienced manager can be found.” Why would a championship club want more experience than multiple Bundesliga titles in a row?

@Marc Vaughan now that you’ve said this is being altered in FMM 23, it’s got me wondering whether this type of play from the IF was intended or if it was just some kind of bug in the ME? Like have I been misunderstanding the IF role and really it’s just a striker that drops off to the wing in defence?

That’s a great point that I didn’t think about. As I said above I love trying out the new leagues but you’re right I’m probably in the minority at least in terms of FMM. Makes sense why the studio wouldn’t want to allocate a ton of resources to something a majority of players won’t use

If it’s not too much to ask I’m curious as to what influences this? It’s disappointing as personally one of the biggest draws of each release is trying out the newest leagues

They’re going to become one of those useless dialogue screens where you just pick the same option every time, akin to the “he’s doing just fine” answer to whatever media question it is

Is there any way to train players (maybe by focusing on stamina?) so that their conditioning is better and they can play more matches before showing up as exhausted in the medical centre? I tend to play with a small squad and we’ve suffered from some exhaustion problems later in the season and was wondering what I can do to avoid this without having a bloated squad.

Exactly this. I played the full version a few times in 20 or 21 when it was free on some platform and with the 3D engine I couldn’t see my team shape at all. 2D is so much better, especially for the mobile game

What do you have against mobile? Perhaps you should give it another go as I find it to be thoroughly enjoyable and gives me everything I need in a football management simulation.

I mostly agree with you here @Marc Vaughan except in the example that @jp1742 is talking about. A defensive player in the CM position. I always find myself wanting what I sort of think about as a an Anchor but who’s positioned as a CM rather than a CDM. Maybe that could be achieved with the right attributes/traits on a plain CM role? I’m not sure. I’m just looking for a player to sit in the middle and win the ball back before playing it off to attacking players around him.

Never understand why people moan about holiday settings. The game is called Football Manager Mobile not Director of Football Mobile, just play the matches

Why is it that when my defenders and midfielders are recycling possession my IF thinks that’s a good time to run into the middle and stand on top of my striker? Maybe I’m wrong but I thought he is supposed to receive the ball wide and cut inside with it or make diagonal runs onto through balls. How is he going to do any of this if he’s just standing centrally whenever we have possession? In the screenshots we’re the team in white and my IF is number 10.
