Womens football, I'm not bothered about. If you don't want to get involved in it, just ignore it I guess. But I do think the inclusion of it is motivated more by social agenda. Sometimes I look at BBC football page to check whats been happening, and I might see something like Arsenal 4 Barcelona 0, and I think oh my gosh, when did that happen......then you realise they are talking about some womens friendly, not the mans game. They raise the profile of it, to pretend we all take great interest and are really into it. Out of a random sample of 10 football fan friends I asked recently, zero expressed an interest in the womens game. And please note - 3 (yes three) of those were female.
International management, I've never gone deep into it. The gaps between fixtures and the lack thereof of intense involvement made me want to stick to club management. But I completely get that its a big deal for some players, particularly say if you're in a long-term save, you've won everything there is to win at club level, and want to try your hand at managing a country
The weight being removed, again not something I've massively focused on. However, when they kind of said it doesn't effect the game anyway, then I started to think, well how many of these stats and attributes we've been poring over are also superficial and have no effect. I think a lot of the new features over the last few years have been pure fluff. Stuff like body language when talking to a player, or the squad planner, or press-conferences, so on and so on, seem to make no real difference.
Despite some theorising they are keeping any screenshots under-wraps or delaying the release for "tactical reasons", I would take an educated guess that the new version of the game is a bit beyond "behind schedule" and is infact light years away from being properly ready. They will release it, as they do every year in an unfinished (and some years unplayable state)
If I'm wrong, then good, because I want to have a crack at a better football management game, and I like FM.....but I guess lets see what they come up with.
